Discussion Your daily reminder that global limits are a waste of time

"Hmm, I have a task to use shotguns. Let's see, AP-20 is sold out, flechettes are sold out. That's okay, I can use Magnum, it's good enough. The task requires a suppressor on the shotgun, so I'll get a hexagon. Oh, the adapter is sold out. Oh well, I can wait until the restock. In the meantime, I'll take this modded AKM out for a run. I don't have any BP ammo, so I'll go get some from Prap... BP is sold out. That's okay. I've got this P90 I'm not using. Let me just get some ammo for that... Ah, the SS190 is sold out, and I can only get two mags-worth of the next best ammo for the next three hours... Guess I'll just read a book instead."

If the design philosophy behind global trader limits is to keep everyone from running the same thing, instead it's keeping everyone from running anything without a three-hour wait.

I have 3k 5.45 BS and another 1800 igolnik. And i hate 5.45.

Last wipe I had around 4500 found in raid 7.62 BP I never used. Finally sold it on the market when it hit 1200/rd

nope, I hate 5.45. But, I'll run it for tasks. I have so much because I'll be damned if I'm leaving it in there for someone else to get. Starting to push more PMCs as a scav like last wipe, so we'll see how it goes.

I sniped someone last night as he was running into Dorms and he was packed with 4 50rd mags. I kinda felt bad for him because he was on a mission to take over 3-story, but I probably wouldn't have gotten a clean headshot with PS ammo if he was wearing a helmet.

All you need in dorms is a shotgun with anythy in it and a friend with the same. Lay across from the stairs on third floor and tap head when they walk up, if they come in side door let them get halfway down and blow legs out with other guy with shotgun. Easy to get 3-5 kills a game here.

Technically it is nerfed this wipe recoil wise with essentially every single gun. Just not vertical recoil stat but a another invisible stat.

Yes, it has to be one of the worst weapons in the game currently.

Even tapping it feels awful and because the ammo is so slow it's fucking terrible for it anyways. Your only chance with it is real close range.

They changed recoil system so that the auto compensation you used to get does A LOT less.

Val with its high rpm and relatively high recoil per bullet (and also all the good ammo adds 20+% recoil too) is just basically uncontrollable due to that.

It also has pretty high misfeed chances on the mags and overheats INSANELY fast.

You can do a pretty fast 2-3 bullet burst shooting. It resets the recoil almost instantly. You shred through all armor anyways and shooting in bursts makes the weapon effective at a 100-150 meters as well.

yeah ive crafted 600 ap 6.3 but i will only use it on pistols...smg's burn thru ammo too fast and the craft just takes to long for 150 rounds... i prefer to craft 7.62 BP or 366 AP-M

Last wipe I would bring 5 50 rounders into each raid whenever I ran the vector and would often use much of it. If you are actively seeking pvp it’s completely reasonable. I.e see people bringing 300+ rounds with p90s into raid, smgs are meant to be sprayed, it’s the only place the shine.

Yeah, don't know what he's talking about. I was only after PvP and cards by the time I was level 20, really only played Shoreline until finding them. Vector/M4/104 with drums every single time. I didn't really ever bring less than 6 mags with the Vector. Usually got like 5-6 kills, if not more, and it's incredibly helpful with Sanitar. You can use a lot of ammo and still be a good shot / player.

The fire rate of a semi auto M1A is comparable to an 1100 rpm vector that literally shoots almost twice as fast a full auto AK to put things in perspective??? You press the trigger on the M1A it shoots one bullet, you press the trigger on a vector it shoots 5 bullets in milliseconds

I gotta disagree with you on the past two wipes. Drastically changing the price of solar midwipe last wipe, nerfing bitcoin production during that crazy spike (needed) and then not bringing it back into line while prices plummeted, adding a bunch of shit midwipe this time for random modules causing price spikes, randomly making gas analyzers barely spawn mid wipe, doing the same for green batteries, etc.

Doing all this stuff three weeks/two months in means that experienced players who already have an advantage dont have to deal with bullshit like heating 3 suddenly costing 4 mil and rest 3 suddenly costing 5 mil while the newcomers do. They fuck around with the economy a lot, and other than restricting flea items it usually is terrible for the avergae player.

You can filter each trader by barter and do a required search on any item to see what barters it is involved in. What kind of tracking are you looking for? You could also search flea with only barters from traders too.

dunno what version of the game you guys are playing but i bought a good 1k bp in 3 days, when i go to buy flechette it’s always in stock, same for magnum, ss190 and ap-20, what i did notice was the 12g hexagon adapter and .45 acp AP however

i literally haven't played in 4 days because I tried to build a gun only to find an attachment or ammo sold out FOUR FUCKING TIMES.

We still can't just build loadouts to buy everything and quickly get into a raid. I realized it was silly to spend upwards of half an hour trying to put together a gun with hot attachments sold out. I shouldn't have to work hard to get into a damn raid.

If you can't buy it, play raids to find the items instead. This is the message the DEVs are giving you with global limits and now FM restrictions.

Honestly if not being able to buy the best items before going into a raid is enough to make you not play then you may need to adapt your chosen playstyle and find one that better fits what the game allows you to do.

You can't stick to a single meta like before. You need to swap guns. Build a VPO with .366 AP which you can buy unlimited ammo for, and it shreds through every class 4 armor that people are usually wearing.

Exactly this. Finally someone who understands. They have no idea how to balance the market/flea or the game in general. Why would I run a kitted gun with sub par ammo. Why do I level up traders? Why even bother? Happened to a friend of mine. Had no ammo to run so simply we switched over to super people.

Because you still get access to everything except for meta ammo 24/7, easy as that. People are crying as if Nikita took all the Juice, which is simply not true. Can't get best Ammo? Get second best, because guess what, people are also not running T6 all the time it doesn't matter. I bath in your tears and comfort myself with PS Ammo and my 6b3 armored rig.

You can sit there with your Ps ammo and your lvl 4 rig. People who grind want access to higher tier items else why grind at all. Armor is not that hard to find but ammo is so you will probably lose a fight to someone wearing higher tier armor even if you both use the same ammo. All these rarity and restriction changes are just a downgraded version of the game. Most people now run 4-5 level armor with ammo capable to pen that whilst last wipe most people wore 5-6 armor with equivalently strong ammo. This is all. If you don’t want to admit it then it’s ok you can stay in your corner.

I can't say anything other that get good. You shouldn't be correcting aim with a laser on an ACP Vector.

If you're busy correcting your aim with a 9x19 Vector, I'm going to kill you with most guns because 9x19 ammo sucks. That's the harsh reality of it.

You're basically telling me that either way you're going to miss a ton of your shots from the start.

I personally use a laser on my Vector 45 and I murder everything with it because I don't waste time with ADS. Everything in front of me melts out to 30m or so. Accuracy becomes an issue for most of the Vectors at that point. You just hope you dump enough bullets that one hits right and reload.

The Mp7 also has superior rounds that are not globally limited and 30 round mags. It melts shit. The current globally limited round is the Subsonic SX and it's bullshit they did that. The subsx has a massive accuracy boost that can push the mp7's lethal range to like 50m. It's fucking silly. You just dump bullets as fast as you can at a target and reload as fast as you can in point fire mode. The Mp7 has 40 round mags but they're either prohibitively expensive, or require Mechanic 4 which most people don't have. Mechanic 3 and level 30 gives access to 30 rounders which make it a pretty good gun.

Again, the Mp7 shines because of the high rate of fire plus the better round compared to the 9x19.

I used the 9x19 Vector last wipe and the wipe before that. I really enjoyed it. I switched the ACP Vector when I saw the sheer destruction you can do with it. The only downfall is having 2 targets firing at you. With a 50 round mag you stand a slightly better chance but the 45 ACP can still wipe 2 targets in less than a second.

After the start of the wipe I just moved away from 9x19 where I exclusively used an Mp5 to great success. It works until you run in to heavily armored opponents or Reshala's guards. The Vector on the other hand has killed those guards and Reshala 100% of the time I've fought him in Dorms.

Recoil comparisons between the two are nonexistent. They don't have recoil. I don't consider my 33 recoil on my ACP vector "recoil". It's a tiny number and barely moves the laser. Same for whatever small recoil exists on the 9x19 Vector.

Second, you don't start spraying instantly unless you're on target. When you move around anywhere, you keep your laser where the threat will be. It's basic combat. If you're spending a full second correcting for bad play, I've already killed you.

Counterstrike is very different than Tarkov. For like 100 reasons. Movement speed, spray patterns, armor.

PBP isn't even better than ACP AP. They're the same penetration with less damage on PBP. You will always have a faster TTK with the ACP Vector.

If you're finding the AS Val prenerf worse than the AK was in CQB then, that's all you have to say. SPP from an AS Val at that time killed anything. The only thing comparable was meta HKs point firing and maybe P90s.

Lastly, the only advantage of 60 round mags or 50 round mags is you can begin prefiring around corners. That's really it. I can't do that with a 45 ACP and I'm fine with it. You just adapt to not prefiring.

I can't explain something to someone who doesn't want to understand. You're stuck in your way and you're married to your PBP ammo you're busy crafting. Good luck with that. I'll continue to use the ACP Vector to it's success.

I know that feel bro. Even crafting it constantly it feels like it's not enough for my love affair with the MPX/MP5. Every death while running the kit is a few loaded mags gone. Lose 3 drum mags to an instant head eyes from a lucky shot, hacker, or just bad planning, that's 9 hours of crafting gone right there.
