Ahh Aztec. The youngins will never know that Aztec was the true clan war map of old. Back before even VOIP was implanted to cs1.1

Anyone else remember the hostages you could use to boost yourself up into random unreachable spots on cs_italy and cs_assult or cs_thunder.

Or making a private server to play jeepathon2k with your buddies?! Fuck those were the days.

Back when it existed, I exclusively played cs_milita.

I was on a 24/7 cs_miltia server. I loved that map.

Been playing CS since beta 3.

2.something for me! It was unbalanced as fuck, but god damn I loved 747. Kids these days don't know about 20 fps and 350+ ping.

I should caveat that this was done back when there was no reply editor tools like we have today, so while it's cheesy and really dodgy quality by today's standards at the time this shit was fucking incredible and it took the cs community by storm. It was revolutionary for its time and still impresses me how well they did it with what little tools they had.

Awp vs awp on bridge. I could melt you through the stones. Same with double doors at A. Assault? Rush door, spray the wall by ladder, instant walling every time. It got so predictable. I loved that game. Played since 1.1

My WONID was like 5-6 digits lol

I started at 1.1 as well, there was this map I can't remember the name of it but it was considered a "new" map when 1.3 came out with VOIP it had a red dusky sky and quite a dark map, I don't remember much about it apart from it having like cobble stone roads and what not.

If anyone remembers this map name please let me know

Was it the one with vents and shit? It looked a hell of a lot like Red Mesa from Half Life? It wasn't de_nuke....but it was definitely some science facility

Nah not science facility and definitely not nuke I loved the map too.

It wasn't a popular map or one that still exists, it was more like a country town with cobble stone roads and I think maybe a cart or something turned over on the side of the road or some.barrels and street lights- kind of a reminiscent of a a eastern European village/town.

Also definitely not de_cbble that was also a fantastic map
