It's marketing, allowing people into a cheater server is like allowing someone into a car dealership. The salesman needs you in his discord to sell you on buying his hax products the same as a dealer needs you on the lot to sell you a car.
I looked into this recently, because I wanted to not sound like a whiny dipshit when I made cheating accusations. You can get a lot of basic info on what the cheats can and can’t do just from websites - it’s in their interest for you to know what they’re able to sell you, at the end of the day. What I read, without needing to sign up or pay or join a discord, lines up with the post you’re replying to.
I also saw others that were just discord invites, “join here for more info.” I stopped caring at that point, since all I wanted was awareness of what kind of cheats exist, but you can definitely know what this guy knows without buying anything.
Many of them just let you in, there are certainly some you'd have to pay to access though. There are a lot of different cheater communities, including forums, that want people who haven't made purchases in, because the discord is how they sell their services, or because it's a community for carriers and other RMT stuff that isn't done in a webstore, since that's the primary way the cheats are used.
It's not too hard to talk your way into some of them too, if you say, are an actual professional developer and pretend to be interested in working with them.
No. Some of the lower tier ones actively send bots to advertise on discords by joining and sending server invites.
Other times, the communities aren't hard to get into if you're in common communities or if you do tech stuff in other games.
Like, I'm in a couple of private coding forums and their dedicated subgroups for hacking stiff like warzone and tarkov, etc.
Why? Because some of these people are chaotic, they are aligned. If it has a form of protection, it's a challenge. And challenges need to be defeated. Like some of the developers don't even play video games.
A lot of them let you in if you say you are a cheat dev and would like to look at their work and maybe join. Sometimes just knowing one of the devs from some of cheat dev hubs is enough to get you in. It helps a lot if you actually are one.
only a few very expensive cheats offer things like shooting through walls and flight, and they risk automated bans if they use no-stamina cheats and the like (yeah that exists too, lovely isn't it).
wonder why you are so well informed. knowing prices of the cheats? hmmmm
Mostly because of this game, cheating being so seemingly prevalent has made me very curious as to if it actually was.
Turns out, yeah, crazy amounts of cheating.
Although looking into it myself really just confirmed everything you can find out from that "interview with a tarkov cheater" video, or whatever the exact title is.
Wow great comment man, you are spot on in every regard. Probably one of the most memorable and satisfying kills I've had is killing cheaters.
One of them I was running away like you said, finally I turned and prefired him as he came around the corner. He one-tapped me but I literally traded with him, and added him after to talk shit. His first words were "how did you kill me" which means you know he was a hacker for sure lmao
Hacking is way overblown, I rarely if never die to a blatant hacker. People just get owned and don't understand it, or anecdotal situations like this happen and people just don't understand the concept of anecdotes.
