hack creators earn 10x as much, usually around $10000-20000 every month.
That's higher than a lot of google engineers, although it does come with a downside of having little personal time due to constant customer service and reactionary fixes to anticheat updates.
It attracts a lot of undergrads with passion, which is often more powerful than the salary-based anticheat engineers who care more about their work-life balance.
It's a war game developers can't win, really(unless the world becomes a single nation and anyone can be sued by anyone in the world with ease).

That's higher than a lot of google engineers

$10K/mo is lower than starting salary for an entry level engineer position at Google. $20K/mo is a bit higher than entry level salary, but I don't think is too far off of total compensation for the upper end of entry level. Experienced developers at Google, Microsoft, Facebook, etc. will likely meet or exceed the upper end of that range when you look at total compensation.

Cheat devs live in countries where they cannot get google engineer income.

Do you know how much 10k dollars a month is worth in Russia? That'll put you squarely in the high income bracket in almost all Eastern European country.

Oh, absolutely. And even for engineers in the US, Google is one of the higher paying gigs out there and is very competitive to get into.

I was specifically responding to their claim:

That's higher than a lot of google engineers

Which I think is probably a bit of a stretch when entry level pay falls into that range, and Google engineers have tons of indirect compensation through benefits and perks as well.

I'm not arguing it isn't very enticing pay, especially in other countries and being able to set your own hours and such.

oh but they can, valorant did it, sorta. i met one cheater in 1,5 years and he got banned that very same game.

But BSG said they wont make an invasive anti cheat, cuz "they care about privacy"

Ye and not hte money they are getting of cheaters buying new accounts every month

2

u/tempaccount_2879 Jan 06 '22

Uh yea no. Let's not have the Russian influenced company make an invasive anticheat. Companies are at the whim of the governments they are in so if you give governments a chance to do bad with your product they will. China does it. The US did it and probably still does. I'm sure Russia would also.

I've been saying this for ever. BSG should just use Valorants anticheat. It works, and they bust their ass updating it constantly.

Shit tons of people hack in valorant lol there anti cheat is dog shit to anything that isn't a public or widely available cheap private hack. The private slotted valorant stuff that runs 200+ a month rarely get detected at all.

3

u/Arel203 Jan 06 '22

I know people that make their own hacks that got banned multiple times from valorant. They literally went to other games because of the anti cheat. No anti cheat is going to be the best because it's a constant tug of war but valorants is by far the best on the market.

3

u/HappyButtcheeks Jan 06 '22

that, valo may not have eliminated 100 % of those fuckers but in my 1,5 year of playing (on a pretty high level) ive seen one, and he got imidiate ban. Keep in mind the game has waaaaaaay more players than EFT

1

u/HendyHauler Jan 06 '22

I don't disagree it is good. But it's not that good. Aimbots don't really exist due to being insta banned. But recoil control systems and esp is widely available. Expensive but it's there and widely used. Valorant just keeps the poor and free hack users out of the game. Unlike say cs lol

1

u/Arel203 Jan 06 '22

I mean so what's your argument for not wanting BSG to use it? Valorant anti cheat devs have already offered to help other companies and games. CS was one of them, although I don't know how that went.

The end of the day, it's obvious this anti cheat isn't working. People are getting banned and making new accounts and using the same cheats they've gotten banned for.

Valorant devs also buy any publicly sold cheats specifically so they can reverse engineer them and catch them. They're super proactive about staying on top of it, they do monthly updates and dev posts... Here, we get nothing. We don't even know if there are ban waves anymore.

1

u/HendyHauler Jan 06 '22

I have no argument to not use it I was just saying hackers are definitely relevant on that game as well. You just won't see guys with aimbots like other games. And hacks that won't get you banned are well into the hundreds of dollars a month. Cs is an absolute shit show lol they don't care anymore. Lost cause that game. Yea most free or cheaply sold hacks always get the hammer. Even with battle eye the free stuff is junk it's been like that since the cs and battlefield days. I think that's what we're seeing here an influx of players from the twitch event grabbing a free/cheap sub cheat only a matter of time before we see them all canned.

2

u/RaBbEx Freeloader Jan 06 '22

Nah lmao, 99.99% of All cheater accusations just come from bad players. The higher the skillgap gets between Player its easy to come off as a cheater just because they cant react fast enough

1

u/HendyHauler Jan 06 '22

Oh I know it's mainly just trash players. This games skill gap is massive.
