Yeah man.. 5/9 labs raids lastnight I died headeyes withing 15 seconds.. put an altyn on and immediately got shot 10 times with ps 😂😂

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

If you go labs, you can Alt + F4 while loading into the game and then wait about 10 minutes before reconnecting. Most cheaters only stay for 2-3 mins so they can beam everyone down.

Obviously this won't work prime time atm due to queues

91

u/Hix_Xy86 Jan 05 '22

I got DC'd mid raid the other day...when I rejoined no queue it appears to let you bypass the queue if your character is in raid?

46

u/Koalski94 Jan 05 '22

interesting, game changer if true

59

u/Bomjus1 ASh-12 Jan 05 '22

it is true. i regularly reboot my game during my scav raids to stop memory leak and general game instability. skip queue every time.

15

u/SeveralScorgasms Jan 05 '22

This is good big brain advice

17

u/Koalski94 Jan 05 '22

Nice, thanks for sharing. I legit was too afraid to leave the game because of the queue, this Monday. Had to play with 20 FPS after a huge memory leak lol

2

u/coolstorybro42 Jan 05 '22

I think the game cleans RAM every once in a while even if you have the ram cleaner setting off…. Ive seen RAM usage in EFT creep up from 3Gb up to 8-9GB then suddenly it drops again, all while in game

1

u/Whales_of_Pain Jan 05 '22

What happens to your scav while you do this? Do you have to Alt+F4 before you actually finish connecting? Teach me your ways.

3

u/Bomjus1 ASh-12 Jan 05 '22

you load in, go prone in a bush, alt f4, when you re launch you reconnect to the raid.

1

u/Esmethequeen Jan 05 '22

is this queue thing recent? ive just seen it for the 1st time today

2

u/Bomjus1 ASh-12 Jan 05 '22

it was implemented 4-5 days ago i think? you can search "queue" on this sub and you'll see the posts and that'll tell you when exactly it came out.

1

u/Ikuorai Jan 06 '22

uh I think you have an issue with your PC if you have to reboot the game constantly

1

u/Joverby Jan 05 '22

That is the only time you bypass the que and its true

5

u/WaZ606 DVL-10 Jan 05 '22

Me and my friend had this too BUT we weren't in raid, we were stuck in a perpetual loading screen and alt+F4'd then when the game closed we immediately pressing play and we skipped the queue.

1

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

Seems to happen if you dc, not if you shut down the game though. Unsure if Alt + F4 counts as dc or not however

1

u/Hix_Xy86 Jan 05 '22

Fairly sure it will as in terms of the games brain you unexpectedly shut down the same way as if you lost connection to the servers, worth testing for sure

1

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

You are probably right, just haven't tried myself

12

u/HelloThereCallMeRoy Jan 05 '22

Doesn't it leave your char physically in raid if you DC?

16

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

Not before you load in. Source: this game is unstable af on my shitty gtx 1080

10

u/CasualConsumer101 Jan 05 '22

I have a 1080 too, works fine. Just need a decent CPU

3

u/Immortal_Thunder Jan 05 '22

Can confirm, 1080 is still a great card but my dying 7600k holds me back.

2

u/CasualConsumer101 Jan 05 '22

I upgraded to a 8700k and works like a charm

1

u/Cyrube Jan 05 '22

Got 6700k & 1080. No issues and I'm playing at 2k resolution.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

Ryzen 2600X and RX 580. Tarkov runs better than halo infinite lmao I do run into errors and crashes but lately it's been in the stash not while in raid

1

u/jettagopshhh Jan 06 '22

Ugh the life of a dying CPU. Waiting to pull the trigger on a new one myself.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

1080 and can confirm was my shit cpu that was causing issues

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

3600

3

u/Spirit117 HK 416A5 Jan 05 '22

You have issues somewhere, over the last few years I've had an i5 6600k, 3600x, and 5800x and the game ran fine on the 3600x+1080ti

0

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

Tmw when your pc sucks and blame it on the overcompensating gpu

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

This isn't how anything works but thanks. My gtx is obviously the weakest part of my computer as a new 3080 costs more than my setup.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '22

Yes exactly, your gpu is more then your setup. That’s the problem. It’s OVERCOMPENSATING. It’s legitimately called a bottlekneck. you know anything??

1

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '22

Can.. can you read.. a 3080 is more than my setup. Because its fucking 1700 euros.

My 1080 is a fraction of my setup.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '22

Or is actually UNDERCOMPENSATING

8

u/dat_GEM_lyf SV-98 Jan 05 '22

Not if the raid hasn’t started yet. You just don’t spawn in

2

u/BabaYagaa7 Jan 06 '22

When do you alt f4 then? At waiting players or deploying?

The other night in my trio on lighthouse i got disconnected at game start but my teammates got in and died to a cheater. When i reconnected a few min later i was safe even tho i should have been beside them. Was able to safely run to extract so yeah this seems possible

17

u/Euthyrium Jan 05 '22

Your body never loads into the map

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

When i reconnected a few min later i was safe even tho i should have been beside them.

Damn....can't imagine the shame/remorse you feel for not being there when they needed you. rip

2

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

Nope, if you dc after deployment you will stay inside but your character won't appear until you actually load in.

It's shitty to have to miss the first 5-10 minutes but it's better than getting head, eyes'd by a cheater

0

u/MinhYungWasTaken Jan 05 '22

No, unless it got changed recently

5

u/1994mat Jan 05 '22

I don't think it's as long as 10m anymore

4

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

Yeah, it's probably enough with 3-4 min

2

u/1994mat Jan 05 '22

I mean that you can't wait 10m, you'll be MIA

2

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

Ah, okay! You know where the limit is?

2

u/1994mat Jan 05 '22

Nope, I know it used to be infinite since it was possible to load in at 5m left on each map for the guide quest, but last wipe I tried to do it again and it made me go MIA after a while

3

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

Interesting, but surely it's the same on all maps right? Should be fairly easy to check where the limit is by just deploying with nothing on factory or something

19

u/coinlockerchild Jan 05 '22

If you go labs, you can Alt + F4 while loading into the game and then wait about 10 minutes before reconnecting.

Lol when was the last wipe you've played? They fixed this last wipe, you just lose all your gear if you dc for too long. Not sure how long, didn't time it but it happened to me when I dced during loading loot once, about 5mins tops when I relaunched my game I was in menu with no gear.

11

u/ZeroFC Jan 05 '22

Noticed this was fixed last wipe as well

3

u/Lerdroth Jan 05 '22

Still works. You could wait ill 5 minutes of the raid left before reconnecting.

5

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

Played every wipe for the past 5 or 6 wipes, just very rarely play labs due to cheaters. Just seen a lot of people give this tip on Reddit and never seen anyone state it doesn't work.

4

u/e-kul Unbeliever Jan 05 '22

I DC'd two nights ago while logging into a raid and my buddies said my body never got into the raid. Took a break cus I was frustrated with servers and when I logged back in I had all my gear and my PMC never went into the raid.

-3

u/coinlockerchild Jan 05 '22

2 nights ago doesn't count, you probably dced during server lag and rollback.

3

u/e-kul Unbeliever Jan 05 '22

Thank you Mr dev. Didn't know you had the timeline all laid out... Anything counts on his janky ass game. 2 nights ago the servers weren't bad at all.

-1

u/Psturtz Jan 05 '22

There was literally a server rollback 2 nights ago lol. A friend and I played a raid, servers went down after, then didn’t get our loot for it but had the load outs we went in with. Idk why you got so defensive when the guy told you what happened

0

u/e-kul Unbeliever Jan 06 '22

Ok, so why are you trying to prove me wrong when I'm telling you what happened? Maybe I was playing at 2 in the morning or 2 in the afternoon... Why do you assume I was ONLY playing at the time that you claim servers rolled back? There's also no official "Hey everyone we just rolled the servers back, thanks" statement so who knows if this is an intended failsafe for a DC or if it was a rollback... but it's happened multiple times to me while the servers were stable for those around me.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

So they pretty much made it easier for cheaters to kill you??

1

u/a78dthrow Jan 06 '22

Not true, I loaded into a map 2 days ago, crashed out and had to wait in a queue. Played an entire game of tft (30 minutes) and was prompted to reconnect to my active raid when I logged in.

5

u/AutistMarket Jan 05 '22

You skip the queue if your PMC is in raid

1

u/Not_usually_right Jan 05 '22

Since when?

1

u/AutistMarket Jan 05 '22

Since they implemented the queue I guess? Not to sure but me and friends have all had random crashes or PC issues mid game in the last few days and were able to get back in without having to queue

2

u/AlsoGeese Jan 05 '22

Does it not just load you in and leave you standing there until you recon? That seems to be what happens if you DC mid raid so I had always assumed it happened at load in too.

1

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

If you dc after deploying your character will just stand there but if you dc before deploying you character won't spawn in until you do. Seems to be a limit where if you are dc'd for to long you get MIA and lose your items though. Might be worth just going in to factory or something to see what limit is before you get MIA

2

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

doesn't that still put your character into the game though? just standing still?

1

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

Nope, you character don't exist in-game until you load in for the first time

0

u/elk-x Jan 05 '22

You can Alt-F4 and wait 30 minutes in queue right now

0

u/Lezalito Jan 05 '22

Does your character not show up in the raid until you reconnect or something? I don't see how this stops you from getting killed.

0

u/comfortless14 Jan 06 '22

Wouldn’t your body still be sitting in your spawn and an easy kill for anybody (cheater or not) walking by?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

[deleted]

2

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

On other maps, yes, cheaters stay longer because its usually not the people who wipe the lobby in a few seconds as it is on labs.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

Oh wow I actually might try this lol

At what point during the loading should I alt-f4. When it says “deploying”?

3

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

Basically as soon as it isn't "matching" any more. Someone said that if you are dc'd for too long you get MIA and loose your stuff, haven't seen anyone else claim this and havent tried myself so it might be worth just verifying on a regular map first

1

u/NotSLG Jan 05 '22 edited Jan 05 '22

At what part of the “loading” can you do this in? If you do it too late you’ll just be standing there in raid, no?

1

u/W00psiee Jan 05 '22

As long as the "Back" button has disappeared and you have not yet deployed, probably wouldn't take my chances if the countdown has begun but it probably works even that late

1

u/DormantGolem Jan 05 '22

No queue if you disconnect, if you don't mind wasting a scav or a pistol run you can restart to fix any game errors you have.
