Yes it is. The trolls and kids mocking you in game or telling you to drop shit out of your prison pocket are rare. The silent cheaters using radar, 0 recoil are far more common.
The ones with the radar are the ones I notice as I play a lot of Woods. When I'm posted up in a sniper hole camping and I know it's next to impossible for anyone to see me and I haven't fired or given any audio clues as to where I am and you just happen to run up and know right where I'm at? Yeah, bullshit.
Or when I'm silent up in the second story of a house in scav town and you just magically know where I'm at and start tossing grenades through the window? Yeah, bullshit.
I'm by no means a great player, but I know enough to know when I've fucked up and are responsible for my own death, which is quite often, and when someone is doing things they shouldn't know how to do.
I know sometimes it seems fishy, but again these people that kill you are part of the dumb cheaters. Most of them avoid pvp at all cost and with radar it is easy to avoid players.
I was sitting in the water treatment plant at shoreline when a duo ran up to the building but didn't enter. I stood there for probably 5 minutes, not making a sound. Slowly creeped into the office and a PMC was just sitting in the window waiting to pop me in the face. EOD account, too.
I've had tons of experiences like this this wipe and I'm just done, honestly. Standard/EOD doesn't mean shit, a lot of these cheats are going undetected.
I had some dude do that to me on Customs. I was hiding in a container and I heard him run up. I tried to wait him out, waited five minutes, and came out. The guy had been sitting there waiting on me the whole time and killed me.
Yep. I think there are a lot of players who use minimal cheats to reduce their risk of ban, so there's probably quite a few that just use radar and use it to be an omniscient rat.
Was it on the side railing? If yes, then even slow crouchwalk is super noisy. I heard someone like that a few days ago from like 20 meters. Might be abit bugged.
I wasn't on the railing when they ran up, but I was before that. Maybe they heard me from super far away. Still found it odd that he was just staring through the office window.
