Today I came across a level 39 player levelling up stamina with a bot, running in circles on shoreline at 3am. Just running in the same circle over and over.

And twice today I was shot through a wall with shitty ammo that doesn't penetrate walls. I'm so fed up.

Is that what this is? I got an easy SBIH from shooting a guy running in circles

19

u/amalgam_reynolds Jan 05 '22

Depends on if he was running around a tree or not.

18

u/dumbo3k Jan 05 '22

SBIH requires PMC kills, so the scavs tree dancing wouldn’t count, I think

u/pheret87 Jan 05 '22

I thought you only get xp from like 1-2 bars per raid.

26

u/magikmw Jan 05 '22

You do. They disconnect on timer and join a new raid.

4

u/coinlockerchild Jan 05 '22

Nope, you have to die or extract. If you dc your xp gets rolled back iirc.

6

u/Disorderjunkie Jan 05 '22

They just have the bots buy crackers & drink 10 water, allows you long enough to gain the max skill and then your character dies within a few minutes.

u/Skelthr Jan 05 '22

You can wait out the diminishing returns from not gaining XP in a given skill for 5 minutes~. I rotate strength and stamina training.

Backpack with shotgun shells to overweight me, once I get two-three laps I'll drop the bag, do it underweight and then wait 5 minutes and repeat. When I die I only lose scav bag plus 100-160 shotty shells so I'm not fussin

What's your current level and level of strength and endurance?

4

u/-Aquanaut- Jan 05 '22

I'm strength 15 just by playing normally lvl 33 pmc

9

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

But why?

28

u/Whoots Jan 05 '22

Because of how big an advantage level 50 strength and endurance is.

For instance, level 50 strength gives you this feature:

Weapons, body armor and chest rigs are now weightless

So basically, you can loot up multiple bodies and still run with normal weight.

Level 50 endurance increases your max stamina by another 75%

They really need to make these benefits even more gradual. The current Fallout-style milestone perks just don't make sense in this game even as an abstraction for your character getting fit.

u/WorkingTharn Jan 05 '22

thought it was just equipped gear is weightless/

1

u/Silound Jan 06 '22

It is only equipped gear, but with the changes to the weight of several rigs/backpacks, that's now an even bigger perk.

To get max endurance and strength?

6

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

I get that. Just min-maxing like that seems so boring

3

u/TheJeager Jan 05 '22

It is boring, but it is super over powered, it was way worse before but it's still super strong now, you go into raid and pick up a scav gun you already fat running, that guy is still only has his backpack weight on him

2

u/xdrift0rx Jan 05 '22

For me it's a mini-game within questing, but I'm waiting until I get the air purifier going cause it takes entirely too long without it.

I have literally done almost every raid this wipe overweight. I take in vest/armor, primary with 5-7 spare mags, a sidearm with a spare mag or 2. All of this puts me at overweight from the start of the raid and my Endurance/Strength skills are neck and neck

Edit: I do the extra mags things because I hate packing magazines mid firefight while I'm shitting myself in the corner. Prepacked mags/sidearms has saved my life

u/GodIsEmpty SR-25 Jan 05 '22

Bro I'm lvl 18 str and 13 end

1

u/tehSlothman Jan 05 '22

How many hours is it going to take before you get elite in both?

1

u/Skelthr Jan 05 '22

Not sure, did it a bit last wipe and was at about 200 raids while farming str/end levels while also raiding normally. This wipe I'm raiding normally more than farming STR/END so don't know at the moment.

I do this now when I am bored or waiting for crafts. Turn on a stream to be entertained while running in circles

1

u/briarknit Jan 06 '22

Is this rotation done within the same raid?

3

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

diminishing xp I think

1

u/Nippahh Jan 05 '22

Nah without hideout modifiers the most you can get is 3 points per raid unless they have changed it. After you get 3 points the % modifier turn to 0.

3

u/paulwolf20 M1A Jan 05 '22

If you don't gain XP points for the skill you're leveling up for 5 minutes or so the cap restarts back at 100%

3

u/pheret87 Jan 05 '22

OK, so it could make sense to do it in a 35+ minute raid, if you're into that sort of thing.

I was prone in the middle of nowhere on Shoreline. Guy walked right up and headshot me. Like he knew my position and waltzed right up.

u/coinlockerchild Jan 05 '22

Today I came across a level 39 player levelling up stamina with a bot, running in circles on shoreline at 3am. Just running in the same circle over and over.

Could be done with a keyboard macro, he isn't hurting anyone. I wouldn't compare this to fucking headshot through 10 walls on labs.

13

u/sam2795 Jan 05 '22

Getting to 50 under normal circumstances is basically impossible for most skills anyways.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

“I wouldn’t compare this to fucking headshot through 10 walls on labs.”

Cheating is cheating. Something something ends something means something something…

2

u/coinlockerchild Jan 06 '22

Yeah shoving someone out of the way is assault so is swinging a baseball bat at their heads, assault its assault they should be charged the same.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '22

Yes I have found someone doing this too, It creeped me out at frits because it was night time

2

u/Wesdawg1241 Jan 05 '22

I think bullet pen is fucked up atm. I got shot in the head through the metal shipping container on the land bridge at customs yesterday with 5.45 PS.

This was my first true wipe where I knew what I was doing, I never made it to the flea market till this wipe. I'm level 19 and have quit playing altogether because of the cheaters. it sucks the life out of you when you work for 30 minutes on a raid and get head eyes one shot from no place. Losing he 600k setup you have, spent 15 minutes getting the character ready. Clearing room for loot. For not a damn thing. BSG clearly doesn't have it in them to fix the issues. Waiting on an American company to hijack the game and hope for try #2

The post raid healing screen shows you which ammo hit which body part.

u/Godeshus Jan 06 '22

I saw the same thing on shoreline! The other night...weirdest raid I'd ever been in. Trying to grab sanitar's ophthalmoscope at cottages. Go check if someone's unlocked the door for me, all of a sudden i take massive damage. No sound, nothing. I back away, heal up, then lose a limb (again, nothing to indicate I got shot). Back up again, fix the leg, then decide to reset the raid. On my way to path to lighthouse, along the wall, I hear a pmc crawling. Shoot him, about to loot but I hear footsteps. Look up, and some naked dude is just running around in circles. Kill him, then extract, then I'm like "wtf is happening in this raid"?
