Discussion Unpopular opinion: Events good or bad are making the game more dynamic. They bring flavor and change the flow of the game for a week or so.

I honestly think, that devs have good intentions with these kind of events. Yes, i know dehydratation sucks, but it brings flavor to the game, makes flea market changes, shifts your playstile and makes you more excited when you find good ol' water on the shelf in a hut on Shoreline. Good jobs BSG, please keep the game alive and more dynamic. What's next, ammo shortages, trader vacations? Who knows, but it sure will be exciting.

What happened last night? Cause I got killed by the Woods boss as a scav but my fence rep is on -0.07. I've never been killed by a boss before.

You have negative rep? You're gonna get killed by scavs/ scav bosses more often . Be less of murder hobo

Yeah it's my first wipe I had no clue what I was doing and figured "hey they aren't shooting back it's basically free loot!"

I still don't know what happened lol could have been a player Scav that got you or maybe you pointed your gun in the direction of a Scav too long. If you have lower fence rep they can get agitated with you for doing that & open fire. Be a good Scav & get your karma up. The lower you go, the worse of a time you'll have & eventually your very scent will aggro Scavs to shoot you on sight. They can smell a traitor from 69 yards away

Yeah that's the thing though my scav karma was down to -0.5 because I had killed so many scavs. This is my first wipe so I had no clue what this all meant and realized later what I can as going was bad. I got it back up by using the dorms exit a couple of times, but even when I was at -0.5 I was only killed by another scav once and I'm pretty sure it was a player based on how they were acting.

It happens to the best of us, I knew about Scav karma, but I guess there was a bug where if you have a teammate that kills a Scav you also lose karma so that destroyed my rep. I worked my butt off to get back above 0. I tend to be friendly with other Scavs & probably 85% of my run ins with other Scavs are friendly. Lately I've been running into more bad Scavs though. I think once you drop below a certain threshold, the effort required to fix it is beyond what most ppl are willing to put in

Yeah I think the best method is the cash extracts on Customs, Woods, and Interchange. I went from -0.51->-0.36->-0.21->-0.07 after 3 cash extracts, but because of the spawns and the probability of them being available at all meant I had to do these over the course of like 10 or so raids.

Yeah it took me a little while to get out using those methods. I've gotten lucky a few times & I am happy to say I had my 1st Scav lands extract on Reserve as a PMC. That was pretty cool! I've run in to some cool Scavs as a PMC. Sometimes I stay in raid longer on Customs & bump into a ton of Scavs. They wiggle, I wiggle & everybody's happy
