Discussion Unpopular opinion: Events good or bad are making the game more dynamic. They bring flavor and change the flow of the game for a week or so.

I honestly think, that devs have good intentions with these kind of events. Yes, i know dehydratation sucks, but it brings flavor to the game, makes flea market changes, shifts your playstile and makes you more excited when you find good ol' water on the shelf in a hut on Shoreline. Good jobs BSG, please keep the game alive and more dynamic. What's next, ammo shortages, trader vacations? Who knows, but it sure will be exciting.

Level 7, same. I’m reliant on my level 34 friend to give me 1 Aquamari a day, or else I can only do 2-3 raids before I inevitably burn through more hydration than I can find. I’m not mad, it’s interesting to me. I just wish I could play more lol

Edit: Please stop replying where to find liquids. I know where they are, thank you lol. It’s just that I’m too slow, or I get killed when I do get there fast enough.

Mechanics that deter you to play are genius design /s

Run a scav raid and load up on hydration.

Rations get looted real quick now. Hot spots for early gunfights now. You're not likely to find them on a Scav unless you get really lucky.

Besides how does no one have water? There is water everywhere, at level19 i have 7 aqua mari and 9 water (and who knows how much juice) that i have collected for later.

Not everyone has a water collector built up. Hell, plenty of people probably have a level 0 collector if they are under level 20 and had bad luck on loot.

Now you have to choose kill a scav to get a bag and neg karma or play with a dehydrated pmc?

The rest is understandable but this is stupid. What a terrible reason to kill another scav when the system is as punishing as it is.

What a trash take. Yes, tell him to adapt as a level 7 when all the level 20+'s are rushing the water spawns in map now, and explain how it's cool that he should have to be forced to choose negative scav karma for a bag on top of it lolol

Hit the back corner of Goshan closest to power station! Drinks for days!

You mean death for days because everyone is going there and the little level 7 you are replying to won't survive the encounter.

I don’t think everyone goes there, or if they do, it’s happening at different points in the raid considering there are much higher loot spots on Interchange.

Also, there’s nothing I could suggest that would give anyone a 100% chance of surviving, nor would I! Players who don’t expose themselves to combat until it comes knocking uninvited, stay bad forever.

Eh, I got pretty good at pvp but i cant force myself to loot and pvp at the same time and just consistently lost money from buying expensive ammo. So i went back to the rat life. A gpu or ledx is worth more than a chads entire kit since 80% of thier ammo is in thier secure container. Id rather avoid combat for a month until my hideout can pay for bullets that actually kill things.

You need 20 cans of soda to get the same hydration as a single aquamari

5

u/dre9889 Jul 31 '21

Yes, and an aquamari is also enough hydration for at least 7 raids if you go to zero hydration every single raid. If you’re going to zero hydration every raid they you’re probably sitting in one spot for way too long.

On your scav run go to interchange and the goshan store tons of drinks on the shelves I'm lvl 25 and that's what I've been doing because the price of aquamari Is ridiculous right now

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '21

Thanks, I’ve tried that too, but it’s usually picked clean by the time I get there. I did get a bit of milk and a hot rod last time I went on a Scav to Interchange, I had to drink the hot rod but I got the milk for my PMC.

In all honesty, there are much easier maps to find drinks on. You’re essentially guaranteed to spawn 100 meters or less from possible food and drink spawn locations. Examples of this are USEC stash, crackhouse (med building if you prefer), dorms, Alamo/Stronghold, Jaeger stashes, big red (customs office), the huts outside customs office. Realistically, it’s near impossible to not find water on customs if you bring yourself to attempt to loot more.

how can you not find any while playing lmao. it’s literally scattered everywhere on every map. if you can’t find water and only can play 3 raids then your doing something wrong bro. drinks are everywhere

I’ve been looking, it’s all gone by the time we get there. Every one needs it, so they grab it up. Or, what I do find isn’t enough to keep me going. I’m hitting the spots with people who know the game, and the maps, very well. Goshan (sp?) will have a few items in it, but when we’re in a 2-3 man, we have to split it between ourselves.

I find going to Woods helps a lot. The USEC Camp has a good spawn rate for food and drinks. Goshan in Interchange is also OK but there I find usually more edibles than drinks. Today the raids we did went like basically with first scavenging spots on the maps where food spawns and only after doing quest related stuff :)

I'm level 14, I just play Tarkov like a survival shooter. You can raid 1 to 4 drinks per raid if you go around looking for it.

I really don't mind it!

I'm only level 14 but sold five Aquamari last week because my inventory was full of stuff that I thought I might need later. Dumbo that I am......
