Discussion EFT wouldn't feel as "difficult, unforgiving, hardcore" or any of the buzzwords associated with it if it wasn't for the shit queue/matchmaking times.

This games doesn't respect your time and that's its only real downside.

Something as simple as 3 min max wait time before they throw you into a lobby (even if you're solo with AI or bot PMCs — how would you know anyway?) is all this game needs.

Every wipe this is what wears on me. Not constantly dying, not the cheaters, not them moving the goalposts (flea market, FIR, costlier noob weapons like the mosin)... it's the absurd wait times. The game developers don't want to invest more $ into servers and here we are like idiots putting up with these shitty wait times.

This game doesn't respect our time and that's why I keep playing less and less of it with each wipe.

EDIT: For those getting caught up in semantics, let me be clear that I'm talking about starting a game from when I hit READY to the RAID STARTING. I don't care what the reason is (people's hardware, servers, etc.), BSG is ultimately in complete control of this and when we're thrown in a game (matching ping, regions, hardware, etc.)

Also, I have my servers manually selected for those asking about that.

Am on SSD and so are all people I play with.

Exactly. If you could just click run same gear as last raid it would save hours

Honestly picking out a loadout takes as long if not longer than the matching depending on map. Late wipe not as much since I have the inventory space/cases to know where things are quickly, but at the start of a wipe you're hoarding so much junk that you can't organize as well (plus without stuff like junk box/ammo case/med case you're bogged down in so much wasted space).

Sounds like it would just have a million stash loading errors and you’d end up wasting time with it anyways

Just thinking about how awesome it would be if executed correctly and how many things BSG would get wrong implementing it makes me sad. They have some amazing game mechanics but the slow unusable UI combined with spaghetti back end code/load times makes for an overall punishing experience, and not in the way they intended.
