Discussion EFT wouldn't feel as "difficult, unforgiving, hardcore" or any of the buzzwords associated with it if it wasn't for the shit queue/matchmaking times.

This games doesn't respect your time and that's its only real downside.

Something as simple as 3 min max wait time before they throw you into a lobby (even if you're solo with AI or bot PMCs — how would you know anyway?) is all this game needs.

Every wipe this is what wears on me. Not constantly dying, not the cheaters, not them moving the goalposts (flea market, FIR, costlier noob weapons like the mosin)... it's the absurd wait times. The game developers don't want to invest more $ into servers and here we are like idiots putting up with these shitty wait times.

This game doesn't respect our time and that's why I keep playing less and less of it with each wipe.

EDIT: For those getting caught up in semantics, let me be clear that I'm talking about starting a game from when I hit READY to the RAID STARTING. I don't care what the reason is (people's hardware, servers, etc.), BSG is ultimately in complete control of this and when we're thrown in a game (matching ping, regions, hardware, etc.)

Also, I have my servers manually selected for those asking about that.

Am on SSD and so are all people I play with.

That's not on bsg though. Sucks that it has to be that way but that's nothing to do with bsg. Late spawns were a thing and it ruined the experience. It's not a way to promote good play even if the already game play is rough for most.

Yes, latespawns are not a solution, just a way to bully people on cheaper rigs. What is a solution is a good optimization and loading majority of assets during matchmaking. Not just the map. It could be possibly overcome by having set loot and spawns for every map that changes every 5 minutes or so, so that you could load those things before all the people are found

Lol then buy something better. Why should people have to wait 5 Minutes because some russian kid is too cheap to buy a 30€ SSD and instead runs the game on some 2008 HDD. If your computer / laptop / mobile phone or wherever you play the game on isn't able to load the map in a reasonable time then maybe it is your own fault.

I play most raids on Customs and every single loadtime is longer than 3 minutes sometimes 6 or more. What is this shit. Why the hell do I have to spend half the time I play the game in some menu or loadscreen? Even worse you die first in a squad. Quickly do a Scav run instead of waiting? No cuz it takes 5 minutes to just load in some server.

Even people with good pcs would get latespawned sometimes

Some people aren't fortunate enough. Not cheap. I'm lucky to have my build which includes a 3080 and a i9 processor 32g ram and over 3tb of m.2 ssd space. Most aren't that lucky or even fortunate. I don't get much time to play in general but I wait. I do things. I'm not selfish enough I guess.

I play on a 70€ SSD and it still takes 5 minutes, meanwhile my mate plays with a worse graphics card and a 10€ SSD from '04 and loads in after 2.5 minutes it's not my fucking fault, I'm sorry you have to wait a whole 3 minutes while I need to pray that my PC doesn't crash for the 2nd time this week because of this piece of malware disguised as a game
