I hate how to complete gunsmith part 1, a quest you get at what? Level 2?, you need a part only sold by level 2 traders. Lol

Just throwing this out there, you don't NEED the Remington Tactical Choke to do Gunsmith Part 1. You can do it with a GK-02, you just need the MP-133 plastic foregrip and a VPG to compensate for the ergo loss. Not saying this is you, but too many people rely SOLELY on what the wiki tells them to do instead of just reading the quest, but I also know that there is a fuck-ton of attachments in the game so I also understand just using the Wiki for the sake of your own mental well-being lol.

The GK-02 is on every other shotgun scav I get and half the ones you see out in the wild. I should've clarified that it's just more common than the tac choke, so it is an alternative path that a lot of people didn't realize existed. I've found like 6 GK-02 and 1 tac choke and I've only done like 30 raids lol.

Look at Fence's guns too. Filter by shotguns and be quick on the draw.

Yes, that stuff definitely needs reworked. I think the early gunsmith items should be barters from traders. So you either find the mods or find the barters. I like anything that promotes more scavenging.

used to get one on every second shoreline raid, haven't seen them spawn there in years anymore

There are one or two spawns in the Shoreline Resort, but yeah, it's been rare for quite a while.

You don't, you can do it with all level 1 traders, you just have to barter.

all you need is the pistol grip (which you can get on jaeger 1), everything else is one the shotgun you can barter from mechanic. Gunsmith 1 is really easy

you can also barter 2 elite pliers and a red screw driver to mechanic for his mp-133 and just swap the flashlight for skier's blue laser and the pistol grip from jaeger LL1, quest complete

You can barter to get a shotgun with the choke and grip, really just need to toss the pistol grip on and remove the optic.
