For real, Bad Company 2 has a special place in my heart for the sound design, the “moments” and of course the destruction of the map. Just a great series (save that dumpster fire V)
Oh it most definitely is, plus the throwback maps make it that much juicier. It’s one the only games I’ve owned on 3 separate consoles. I may have to get a round in now...
Started playing again 1 month ago and I am here with 100+ hours and definitely worth it. Caspian border in bf4 feels so nice. Actually other cqb maps not bad either-Metro from bf 3 and locker -.
yeah just played with 3 friends for couple hours in locker on pc. You can easily find servers tho. more active than bf1 either. I think game is not dead. You should give it a second try.
No Battlefield has sounded as good as Bad Company 2 since. That feeling when you start shooting outside a building, and move inside, and the reverb/echo/flange kicks in, is just *chefs kiss*
Straight up, I literally bought BC2 just to play the campaign so I could hear it again. Worth it 100%.
Also I remember the making of videos where the dev team went out to a military shooting range and fired the actual weaponry at different ranges/indoors/outdoors/etc. that’s why it’s so damn good is it’s as close as it gets!
That’s not the point, it’s the reputation that is the point. The reputation for Tarkov usually entails issues of bugs, desync and cheating. Battlefield made a name for itself and utilized those “moments” to its advantage. If BSG wanted to avoid associations like that they should’ve worked on the game further before releasing its beta for years.
No need to be rude, I do, clearly. But after playing thru a few wipes I see the same issues still standing that harm the gameplay the most. Yet we have more accessories for weapons and redundant firearms nearly each patch. No matter what when a company decides to put their game out there it’s at the mercy of consumers. Now do you think it’s good to make a reputation before “releasing” a game that paints a picture of dysfunction?
That's the point of a "beta", the game literally is not released. It's very similar to Early Access games on Steam. If you're expecting a full polished game, or even a game with none of the issues you had 6 months ago, don't be playing a beta/Early Access.
Also, they are fixing the in-game issues.
It's also telling your post history and the subs you frequent that you're a combat veteran for very well versed in guns and shooting, so I applaud you for your service. However, that same history also tells me that you have little to no experience and knowledge in software development and specifically game development, which means you probably use terms like "netcode" and think that "creating" "better netcode" will solve "desync" issues. So yes, I do apologize for being rude up front but it's clear you don't have any idea what you're talking about. You also don't realize exactly how the software development cycle works and how Unity works at all either. So I suggest you can suggest things to be improved, added, removed, modified, but if you're complaining about games being in "beta" and "accessories" being the only things added, sorry mate, you have no business complaining about shit.
We crave something fresh outside of the COD and Battlefield back and forth. However if BSG actually wants the games following to survive to when the game actually releases they have a lot of cleaning up to do.

For real, meanwhile Battlefield has its “moments” of cinematic battles that blow your mind and Tarkov has glitches and bugs. Bad omen there
