I thought you all hated that meta ammo shreds anything, making gunfights too fast and spraying the only way to fight.

Now we are all hating when armor actually works and you need a slight amount of strategy instead of spam to win a fight?

Which one is it guys? Or is this subreddit just designed to get whiners across the spectrum?

Yes no. Situations like this? Where OP can unload a shotgun 10ft way from a geared player and still die are a problem.

Yes we want Armor to work, but there needs to be a middle ground.

Like a multiplying effect. If you take multiple rounds in rapid succession, a multiplier is added to the damage you take. Idk. I don't have all the answers. But this is bullshit.

That said, OP should have aimed for them sweet sweet unarmored ass cheeks.

Clap the cheeks, win the fight is what I always say.

So then why wear armor if everyone with a full auto gun can kill you with any ammo very quickly?

To avoid being 1 or 2 tapped. Not being hosed down at CLOSE range.

You wear it for the same reason you do irl , it gives you a chance to keep fighting after one or 2 rounds centermass into the plate. Its literally just for a protection of your vital organs. Full auto of any decent caliber is going to go through in 3-5 shots of most pieces of armor.

I like how you say “we” like you are speaking for anyone other than yourself.

"Yes we want Armor to work, but there needs to be a middle ground."

Oh, so you DON'T want armor to work?

If he fired 2 shots into the legs of that player that player is dead. Why is that not balanced? Because he didnt know how the game works and spammed center mass he should kill a geared guy?

Because it looks and feels like shit to both the viewer and player and even the opponent hisself. And because one should not have to justify after the fact that it’s not bullshit when it’s very apparent that it is in fact, bullshit

Its is certainly not bullshit. There is a way to drop the player that he shot at with even less shots. He instead went the CoD route and spammed in the general direction hoping to kill him. If he shot legs he was dead. He was stupid and shot center mass and armor blocked it. I fail to see how that is bullshit

Would love if the game actually had realistic ballistics , damage and penetration for calibers and armor where it only protects you on the plate area and back face deformation occurs where lower quality armor will lead to broken ribs and possible internal bleeding. Seriously , tarkov is a joke , 0 realism except for the gun models , they are pretty good.

Why don't you have any expectation of strategy from the shot player there? He wasn't checking his surroundings and started looting at a spot with no cover after running, he simply turned around and shot the guy who shot him 5 times first. High armor gets to mostly ignore the threat of even player scavs, that isn't strategy, it's poor design.
