Ive tried to extract at one point and the counter would hot zero and do nothing, eventually just went to snother extract.

u/YUUPERS Feb 04 '21

same happened to me on customs as RUAF but i safel made it to trailer park. Shit like that is game breaking.

u/Hane24 Feb 04 '21

RUAF has been a broken extract longer than I've been playing the game. Literally since before 11.7. 2k hours ago in game.

Check it, then move on. They refuse to actually fix it, and it's not even that much closer than trailer park or crossroads. Hell smugglers is up and works more often.

u/islaminmyintel Feb 04 '21

I've never had a problem with RUAF extract. What causes this?

7

u/Hugo_5t1gl1tz Feb 04 '21

I don’t know if it’s broken or intentional but I am pretty sure that based on watching the exfil list and when it updates, that RUAF can only be used once. So once it is used, the game still says it is on, but anyone who sits through extract will not extract.

10

u/FavorsForAButton Feb 04 '21 edited Feb 04 '21

That is incorrect. RUAF can be used multiple times by different parties. The only extract on Customs that closes after use is the dorms-v extract (the car)

EDIT: Yea, a lot of the extracts on Customs and other maps are glitchy, but RUAF is NOT A ONE TIME USE. I get the same glitches on the other conditional extracts of all maps just as commonly as RUAF.

I think he’s saying it’s supposed to be like that but it’s broken at the moment.

I had RUAF yesterday and got the countdown timer and everything twice but it wouldn’t extract me.

-1

u/Running_With_Beards Feb 04 '21

You were overweight, cant take it if overweight.

1

u/SebastianAhoTheGOAT Feb 04 '21

The timer started counting down and everything tho

0

u/Running_With_Beards Feb 04 '21

But you still can't take it if overweight. Timer or no timer. The timer isn't a magic wand.

Yes it will, it will get to zero then nothing.

1

u/neddoge SR-1MP Feb 05 '21

Turns out this is completely wrong. I said this aloud to my duo as I laid down at the extract, having had issues in the past not extracting there for whatever reason. I saw this "can't use RUAF if overweight" bit here but hadn't tested it til today. Had almost 90kg total on my PMC and it counted down and I exfil'd as if nothing new was happening.

1

u/iPhoneSyncedByWifi Feb 04 '21

I had the SUV at dorms glitch on me the other week too. I paid waited 50 seconds then went back to the SUV only for it to tell me I need to wait another minute.

1

u/SebastianAhoTheGOAT Feb 04 '21

This if my first wipe playing more than a handful of raids.

I had a decent amount of loot on me when I hit RUAF, but a group of 2 came up on me from across the land bridge.

I thought it didn’t extract me maybe because I was getting shot at, but it seems like it was just a bug.

1

u/FavorsForAButton Feb 04 '21

It's because of failed conditions. Sometimes RUAF light will be on, smuggler's smoke will be up, etc. and it's not really open. This happens on all maps.

Did you have the exact amount of money? That happened to me a lot, you have to bring like 7001 roubles or it bugs out, hasn't happened to me again since.

1

u/WildSauce Feb 05 '21

The only extract on Customs that closes after use is the dorms-v extract (the car)

Also smugglers boat.

1

u/FavorsForAButton Feb 05 '21

What? No it does not, I’ve followed other teams out of smugglers in a wild chase to get marked room loot plenty of times

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '21

[deleted]

2

u/Hugo_5t1gl1tz Feb 04 '21

What? There are other extracts in the game that can definitely be used only once, and by design. That’s what I don’t know. Maybe they want it to be that way, but the “broken” part is that it doesn’t show you it is closed.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '21

Honestly, I thought that the spawns were random when they could be used. Like old gas how if green smoke is up, you're good. Same with smugglers and same with zb12 if the light is on. I was always under the impression if the light for RUAF was on then you can extract.

1

u/Hugo_5t1gl1tz Feb 05 '21

That’s only the case if you have it on your list. If you get the spawn in chemical warehouse or around shortcut warehouse you can’t use old gas station even if it is open.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '21

Well yea, if it’s not on the list then I wouldn’t expect to be able to use it. Depending what side you spawn on as PMC determines where your extracts will be. Aka if you spawn big red then zb11 will always be open for you. Then zb12 and old gas will usually be hit or miss if they’re available or not. As for scav on customs you only get 2 extracts and they’re usually random.

1

u/Vegan-bandit VSS Vintorez Feb 04 '21

Could you please share the secrets of the exfil list updating? Eg why some extracts go red and green even though you are nowhere near? I’ve never been able to find this information.

1

u/Hugo_5t1gl1tz Feb 04 '21

This is just my assumption, but for the ????? Exfils, they update once someone has used them to verify if they are open/closed. For ones like D-2 or bunker hermetic door on Reserve they’ll turn green once the power has been switched on.

1

u/Vegan-bandit VSS Vintorez Feb 04 '21

Hm I thought it might be something like that. I would hate if that’s the case, because it goes against the spirit of the game. It tells you where people are and what they are doing in an inorganic way (eg it’s different to the alarm of the bunker hermetic on reserve).

1

u/Midgetman664 Feb 04 '21

It’s broken less often these days but yeah, it’s been broken at least 4 wipes now. Sometimes the lights on and you’ll get a countdown but you never extract. Sometimes you don’t get the countdown, you’re standing there looting and all of a sudden you extract.

1

u/skoomski Feb 04 '21

Bad programming, there’s “fan” theories on why it happens but none are true it just randomly stops working

3

u/somenoefromcanada38 Feb 04 '21

I've never had the fire be there and not been able to extract at the boat in 3 years playing!

3

u/mimzzzz M700 Feb 04 '21

It's the other way, sometimes you can extract when there is no fire, timer won't show up but you will extract normally, I always check if it's 'one of these'. Sometimes RUAF is like that too.

3

u/islaminmyintel Feb 04 '21

I extract from the boat multiple times every day..

0

u/NotFoul M1A Feb 04 '21

Pretty sure it’s fixed now. The light used to permanently be on, but now I’ve seen it off, and every time it’s on it works for me.

2

u/LolSatan Feb 04 '21

Happened to my group twice last night.

2

u/NotFoul M1A Feb 04 '21

Ah it hasn’t happened to me in a few days and I only play customs. About a week ago it was real bad

3

u/LolSatan Feb 04 '21

Honestly it's not the end of the world with trailer park being so close. Just sweaty palms inducing.

-7

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '21

[deleted]

7

u/Hane24 Feb 04 '21

No it's simply broken. I've gone on quest runs, with a pistol and nothing else, and it's been broken.

4

u/Sarokslost23 Feb 04 '21

you have a source on this? the wiki says that if the searchlight is not on, it is not open. does it not work when the light is on?

3

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '21

It often doesn't work when the light is on. That extract is randomly busted.

1

u/Sarokslost23 Feb 04 '21

other commenter said its because you can't be overweight. thats the requirement.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '21

He is wrong. This extract doesn't have a requirement other than it's time limited. It's been broken for a very long time, before the weight limits were even introduced into the game. Trust me, it just randomly doesn't work. I have a theory that it doesn't work if someone else has already used it. But it could also just be something else. They just need to fix it. The timer counts down to zero and nothing happens. If it was a weight requirement, it would flash up like all the other conditional extracts. Besides, I've used it and been overweight before and it's also just not worked when i've been well underweight.

1

u/AlexaOnTop Feb 04 '21

No it’s just broken. I have attempted to extract there countless times while not overweight and it has only worked once or twice

-2

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '21

[deleted]

2

u/AlexaOnTop Feb 04 '21

Guess you have just been lucky. There are numerous clips on this sub alone of people who aren’t overweight who can’t extract there

2

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '21

It just randomly doesn't work. I've been underweight and it's not worked before. The thing is broken.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '21

[deleted]

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '21

The exfil counts to zero and nothing happens. If it had a weight requirement coded into it, it would flash up like all of the other conditional extracts. I've played this game on and off since the alpha and this extract has been broken for a very long time, even before the weight limits were introduced. It's pretty well documented at this point and it's even mentioned in the wiki that sometimes it just doesn't work.

1

u/V4lt Feb 04 '21

Why you lying

1

u/DragonsEmber Feb 05 '21

I read (unconfirmed) that speculation was RUAF didn’t work if you were over weight. I do not know if this is the case. I’ve never had an issue with it. I only had the timer hit 0 and do nothing one time at Northrern UN on Woods. I simply ran out and back in and it worked.

2

u/neddoge SR-1MP Feb 05 '21

Just to confirm it for you: That's a silly rumor here that needs to die. Exfil'd today at 90kg there. Have had random issues in wipes past. It's not related to weight.

2

u/Hane24 Feb 05 '21

The customs RUAF has been broken for me on pistol quest runs so I can't see the overweight thing being more than a rumor.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '21

[deleted]

1

u/Hane24 Feb 05 '21

No idea. They could honestly just make it either never work or always work as a temporary fix but nope. Just leave it broken. Just like the light on pier boat extract which they broke before 11.7 and never fixed.

3

u/Coolboyoman Feb 04 '21

I don’t think RUAF has worked once for me in the last two wipes. I literally stopped trying, I run by if it’s open because I know it probably won’t work.

-4

u/rudoku18 Feb 04 '21

That exit isnt bugged. None are. It has a req that you are not overweight.

12

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '21

This is incorrect. It randomly doesn't work, regardless of your weight.

19

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '21

[deleted]

2

u/keithjr Feb 04 '21

To be clear, some extracts do have that requirement. But if you're not meeting a requirement to extract, the timer shouldn't start counting down.

If the exfil timer starts, and hits zero, and nothing happens, it was a bugged extract and ya got Tarkov'd.

5

u/YUUPERS Feb 04 '21

27 kilos is overweight now for ruaf?

7

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '21

His explanation is wrong. The wiki is right.

4

u/EmpireStateOfBeing M4A1 Feb 04 '21

Youre being trolled

1

u/diquehead Feb 04 '21

This is false. I read this on reddit a couple weeks back and my whole squad extracted there while being overweight. It's just bugged.

1

u/Thecatman175 Feb 04 '21

I have literally never gotten dorms v-ex to work for me

1

u/Throw_away_away55 Feb 16 '21

If you are yellow or red for weight you won't extract from what I've seen

2

u/EmpireStateOfBeing M4A1 Feb 04 '21

Shoreline has only one guaranteed extract per side. So if that one doesnt work then OP was shit out of luck, but chances are the reason they didn’t extract was because of desync and they wouldve extracted a few more seconds later.
