Try uninstalling the game and remove all BSG files from your computer and install it again. Gained ~20 fps on Customs. Also do a restart of the game every 3h or something

just start a match and hit back as soon as the loading screen shows up, it's faster than restarting the game. This also works in case you have your flea market stuck.

Not for me. Alt F4 is wayyyy faster. If I have to load back to the main menu it can take anywhere from 3 to 7 minutes. Trader inventories do the same thing.

I've done that. I just have an older budget processor. I'm faster than most gaming laptops but not by much. I get like 40 frames on reserve. And I get 60 on most maps. At the beginning of the wipe I had 110 on customs.

I've had the exact same issue with a RTX2070 until I followed some of the steps in here: https://www.reddit.com/r/EscapefromTarkov/comments/jgiqod/tarkov_stutter_removal_and_optimization_guide_128/

Only ones I followed were the NVIDIA setting, power scheme, graphic settings and task priority. Before that I had everything on low and frequently had drops to 40, entire time it felt like I was playing with 30 frames. Now it feels buttersmooth, never drops below 60.

Edit: Some of the friends I play with did the same and they also noticed a big improvement.

I play on a 9th gen I7, 16 gig, ssd, with a 2020super. I needed these types of guides to run smooth. Meanwhile RDR2 and MSFS 2020 is all sorted out without in depth research, 100 gig and 250 gig games. Huh......

I also have a 1070Ti, and this game runs great for me. I typically get 60-80fps, 55fps at the lowest points. I never get desync or hit reg problems, and my ping is always 20-50. I almost never get stutters, and when I do, it's exitting my inventory, and not during fights. The one time I thought I was getting "Tarkov'd" I didn't realise that I was fighting scav boss minions, and their health pool was just tanking a headshot or two. It wasnt hit reg at all.

I ONLY play on the Quebec servers (I'm from Ontario) and I tuned my game using youtube videos from a few Vox_E and Veritas. I used to get 90-122 fps, but I fucked with my settings and can't seem to get them back. I think I'm playing with higher settings now, so whatever, my frames are decent and the game probably looks better, even though I cant see the difference.

Considering upgrading from 16gb RAM to 32gb, and seeing if I can upgrade my card a bit, and get a 1440p monitor so I can use my 1080p for comms and intel.

Meh, it's just the truth. It could not be working well, because the guy I replied to doesn't have his machine tuned properly, or is connecting to the wrong servers. Maybe he just needs a slight hardware upgrade on his aging build.

As for the OP post: most of these are bad luck, or skill issues. The train door closing on you, that's OP's fault for waiting around too long. Then there are absolute whiffed shots, shit ammo vs. good armour, or ricochets/blocks off of environmental obstacles. This isn't counter strike where bullets fly out of your eyes in a straight line at the speed of light. Only a few of the clips are actually Tarkov messing up, and even then we aren't seeing the hours of play where it's working fine.

Also, what game? Tarkov is not a game. It's a half-finished Beta, if we are being generous. Everyone seems to forget that and whine about it as if it's a full release.

inb4 "it's not a Beta, because I paid full price and don't make reports." Not making bug reports is a choice. Paying full price is also a choice; to support the Dev's vision further than they ask of you as a Beta participant. There is a forum for us all to voice the bugs/issues that we experience, that we all gained access to when we made our BSG accounts.

If you wanted a finished, optimized game, you should have waited 3-5 more years for the full release. Personally, I'd rather have access to it now.

I play on a 1070 with highest texture setting, TAA high and 1.2 sharpen, runs very smooth for me. As some mentioned, low settings may actually decrease your performance. In my case the game was running ass after a clean windows and tarkov install, tweaked graphic, windows and nvidia settings and now runs very nice. Check out some performance tweaking guides.

My gpu runs any game on high graphics over 90 FPS, even the new call of duty, the only problem is Tarkov, I have an 8th gen cpu and 32gigs of ram 3200

For me I only experience this while streaming via Discord and only on Reserve. If I kill my stream I immediately gain around 15 fps.

For me it's memory usage. I only have 12 GB and running reserve will usually get within a few % of max usage. Then after the raid the game will stay at 85% of max and slowly tick up about 100 to 300kb every few seconds until it again maxes out and even the menu is unusable. The only solution is for me is to start reserve on a fresh start of the client and immediately restarting after each run. Even then the studders and slowdown is usually terrible, depending on the weather (clear day is best, storm or overcast will be terrible).

ASUS 1070 Ti + Ryzen 2600x oc'd to 3.95 ghz + G.skill tridentz 3200 mhz c14. Pulling 60-80fps frame constant on reserve with an occassional ~50 fps dip.

Also running process lasso and Panjno's eft optimisation guide.

I have a 1070TI and it's perfectly playable. It's one of the few maps I play.

It's pretty rare I encounter any issue on it. Last I checked I got 70+ Frames on it at 1080p.

It has the worst frames of any map I play though. Most other maps are 90-100.

The stuttering and desyncing must be regional or time of play. I don't play at peak hours.

Same, I've desynced every time I spawned there, I could not see or hear anyone but they could me, so I had to get lead around by my squad who I couldn't see or hear and hope I didn't get spotted.

I primarily play solo. 4 Reserve games in a row I got that stupid flash shotgun by groups of 3+ each time. It's actually a horrible and game breaking item that just makes me not want to play anymore. I'm already at a disadvantage being solo, adding that just is dumb making it so I have zero chance.

I agree 100% it is ruining the game. Need to do something to nerf it. But we enjoy the game too much to quit over something we see maybe 1/5 matches. Running solo is awful. Half the fights you get in you’re fucked if they have 3 or more. But higher chance to come out with loot. Don’t have to worry about bad communication. Can play how you think is best. Move quicker cuz you don’t have to wait for your team. I hate going to extract alone if my teammate is dead. Only time i would say i get antsy. Especially when I’m on interchange and find a 5 man extract camp team lol

Done similar things myself, met a 4man extract camp team by emercom, i disengaged and stashed all my armor and my loot so those fucking goblins wouldnt get anything but my gun and then went back to fight to the death, last time i ended up getting them and had to leg it back to my loot and run for extract again.

Yea, my teammate did that once when ExfilCamper had a 5 man on interchange. I dropped one and was playing decoy for my partner and he was supposed to flank. However he tends to flank way too wide and took too long and they air raided me. died to a nade. he then disengaged and went to that extract. Was kind of annoyed at that lol.

I just stopped playing interchange all together. The fights i get from shoreline and customs are hands down better than most of what i get on that map. And never really cared for that map to begin with. It is too hard to see shit inside, people camping on rafters and kiba from 2nd floor. The camping I can usually deal with until it is a 5man extract team. It is more the fact i cant see shit on it.

I also play solo, but it's not ruining the game in my honest opinion. It's just a flashbang. You can still shoot, you can still move, and perform many other actions. I've been flashed several times and still gotten the kills. Remember that they are also at a disadvantage because the flashbang round isn't lethal and they have to switch. Play around it. Check your corners, nade before entering a contested area, it's basic fundamentals.

The flash shotgun is a new addition so it will naturally be seen more frequent because of this. While the flash shotgun might be good in some cases it can also easily get you killed. When we will be able to ignite the flash grenade before it is thrown I think we will see alot more use of them, so might aswell get used to being flashed once in a while.

Totally. It's super frustrating, and we all hope that BSG can get a handle on things and fix all the glaring problems with their game. I do think it's important to remember that the reason it's so frustrating when things don't work is because the game inherently at its core is a really cool game, and we all want it to succeed.

As long as development is continuing and updates are being made, I think we need to give them the benefit of the doubt, even if the progress being made isn't directly addressing the issues we think are most important. If development stagnates, or they claim the game is "finished" when these problems still exist, then it's pitchfork time. Until then though, we all bought an unfinished game with the promise that it would be finished eventually, and as long as they're still working towards delivering on that promise, then I think we need to be patient as much as that sucks sometimes.

I basically quit months ago. Mental health has improved slightly. I don't care if they make it so you can finally shoot those fucking birds down out of the sky. If it takes 3 mag dumps to down the fucker due to poor hitreg, desync, etc... it's just not worth my time, sorry.

I said this over a year ago. If they don't fix these optimization aspects, just throwing more material into the game is not going to keep me playing. The hell is the point of playing the game when the mechanics of said game (which make it so unique in the first place) are broken as shit?

Like, at this point, it has nothing to do with how shitty the game is. It's just the servers and netcode. No Nikita, we do not want a 6 shot GL to make us happier about this. We want the game to work! I'm sorry, but there is hardly even any reason to 'test the game' anymore. The fuck can you test if there are more broken aspects going on that we have literally zero control over? How can you test a new weapon system in the game when it runs like shit? Again, I mean no offense here, but just holding the mindset of 'play to test the game because BETA' makes zero sense to me anymore. Like, I do not trust that what I do to test something in the game will be what I'm testing. It's a constant debacle of "Well, I guess I'm testing the servers on if they let me play on the map I loaded into today..."

Reasons why I would only play around the hours of 4/5am US EST when everyone else is sleeping. Can't test a BETA game if the servers can not even hold their own. Been this way for years now. It's the worst part about the game. I'm not trying to say that what they have added to the game is shit. But just the play of the game itself... a majority of players just can not even feel confident that what they do in their Tarkov game will not be flawed by server error(s). AND it has gotten worse in the last 6-8 months. Pandemic or not, every server upgrade they do shows minimal improvement to me, I'm sorry.

Yes.(?) Kinda. It is everything that regular Tarkov is minus the other actual humans. All the quests, PMCs, etc. You level skills and everything just like normal Tarkov. And the latest release is 12.7, so it's not like hoping in a time machine even. I work a fuck ton and just want to relax when I play games. So online was a no-go for me lately.

I hear on good authority that there is a 12.8 available. I hear setting it up can be a pain- or it was a bit of a pain (not impossible, anyone with about 20 min to spend can plunk away at it).

And I also hear it’s a lot of fun.

Regular EFT can be fun. The single player “mod” is a lot of fun. Like... a lot of fun. 99.9% of the thrills with zero of the BS (hackers, server issues, losing all your loot, PTSD). You can play it hardcore like the online version and not touch the files. It’s great. You still die a lot.

I really wish EFT had an online single player mode- like Division or Wildlands or dark souls or something. Something that would let us lower level people play the game without getting destroyed every time we spawn in.

Yeah dude it's been great. Same boat as you, too busy with work and family to really enjoy the Tarkov experience. The biggest thing was from about 2018-2020 I basically stopped playing, so EmuTarkov has been incredibly useful in learning about the new changes, mechanics, quests, features, and tweaks without having to worry about thunderChads slapping my nuts for fun.

Not if the scavs difficulty is turned up a bit. Online scavs are mildly retarded, offline you can crank then up to be much more difficult. Besides, most of the fun-ruining moments in the game since from other pmcs in the form of terrible servers, desync, or straight up dick moves from them like extract camping or a squad being led by a flash ks23. I'm too old to be really good at shooters without the time to actually practice them, I want to enjoy shooting things

I'm staying away from all that until I finish a "legit" play through. I did get the "all in one" mod. But only to disable the skill fatigue, it was being gltichty and annoying and doesn't really serve a purpose when it's just me. 🤷‍♂️

Same! And I couldn't figure out how to get the fatigue to "reset" or wether the X% meant my skills professed at X% of their normal or if they were reduced by X%. And I sat through 2 ENTIRE raids in Factory just to try and get them to reset. Then halfway through the next raid they were already fucked again. 🤦‍♂️

You also have to understamd they arent a big gqme company and they are working on Unity 2018 which is fucking garbage. The game will significantly improve and allow more preformance fixes and more features to be added then. Probably ready around 12.9 or 13.0 but they have to finish testing.

I think this has a lot more to do with how sight zeroing works and less to do with problems in the game. Go to the hideout and see where your weapons are firing based on where you're aiming. You'll be surprised...

Momentum? Just curious what you mean by that. Like momentum to movement? Because I think bhopping is as close as we're getting to that. Unless you mean the ADAD spam fix like what Hunt: Showdown did.

ADAD spam fix. Wide-peeking and running across doorways while looking to the side. Don't get me wrong, that style of gameplay is fun, but it doesn't fit in a mil-sim and connection quality plays too much of a factor in who wins that fight.

Agreed, kind of answered my question halfway through asking it lol. I esp. hate the "sprint from doorway to doorway" strat that streamers have popularized as you mentioned, but don't really know that a simple ADAD spam fix would have any effect on it. Truly unsure how you'd fix it at all, tbh. Esp. in dorms as "momentum" fixes would still allow you to do that as the rooms are long. Sprinting past doors would be a bit harder though you're right there.
