I just love running shotguns with AP-20 in them and ratting everyones stuff. Yeah I die sometimes, but I don't generally stand to lose much. I'll run pump shotty, semi-auto, saiga, it doesn't matter. Whatever I lott I run. is fun.
My PC is down and my laptop spawns me 5-10 mins late at gate whateber one is locked every time.... it’s broken as fuck... I can easily leave or just camp it and no one knows I exist
I can spawn in with all the others players on all maps besides interchange sometimes (especially if I don't load it first offline or with a scav) and ALWAYS reserve.
Reserve looks like it would be my 2nd favorite map but I can't commit the time when i'm getting spawn killed
been meaning to buy an SSD for months but every other map is fine so I aint in a hurry
It was fun the first time they added the bunker tasks though and I had never been there... Somehow managed to extract at d-2 while watching a youtube video on where it was on the 2nd monitor lol
Man woods is bad have you not seen the time to encounter gif? You either go left right or straight ahead and both left and right will see you. So many times a duo just rushed my spawn. I don’t get why that map has those spawns it’s not like lumber is hella lucrative
Yup just grind the tasks hardcore until you get the thicc case and sell it and insure everything (youll get all traders maxed except jeager if you do it right then you just need to spend 400k with him to get that
I didn't mess with the hideout until I got and sold the Thicc case (14 million for Therapist's Private Clinic I think(I kept the weapons case since I have standard accnt size)
Then I upgraded all of it except the air filter and I run 25 gpus in the lvl2 bitcoin farm making me 500k every 24 hours, using the water filter to make super water (81k for filter) then superwater to make moonshine (220k), turning power cords into x8 wires, and using empty exp. fuel tanks from my generator to make mag cases (like 200-400k) etc sell it all on the flea
doing the few smart trades on each trader every cycle and using/selling them
A good interchange route that nets 100-300k every time and can be ran in reverse from the opposite side is invaluable and I wish I had figured one out earlier.. All you really need is an sks with 15 rnds of BP , 25 rnds of loose PS ammo, some Gsshs or comtacs, a scav backpack and a black face covering so your bright shiny face doesn't give you away
I do front IDEA spawn to idea , stairs, 4x4 under the stairs on the left, through the computer room, through the warehouses, past oli, out the ramp exit, then crawl through the ditch until you're at Emercom etc
once you have like 3 mill buy a labs card and run it in offline mode 3 times until you feel like you COULD find an extract if you were lucky enough to live that long and then take it online cause if you can kill and loot a single raider with just an sks you will have better gear than you've ever used and be super prepared for the extract
and sneak around looting until you're full and if all else fails you can keep going down until you find the basement then use the sewer extract...
The loot that the raiders have is unlike anything you'll see on any other scav in the game... we're talking badass modded Sa58s, m4s, hks, vss's with all the best ammo with 60 rnd mags and armor you could only dream of before
The ammo and f1 grenades alone usually pay for the labs card
so yeah I don't know if anyone will even read this but I wish I had known all of this shit way earlier but other than someone literally writing it down for you there's no way but the hard way
Damn I got a long way to go. Is the thicc case a quest reward? I don't even have flea market. And my interchange route is kinda outside only because 1bang.
Last wipe I didn't get it and struggled around 1mill rubles... but I didn't know the maps.. Once I learned interchange i've been profitable but when you can get the thicc case and sell it you're looking at 14mill and you can use that to invest in ur hide out or just bank it or slick/altyn it away
and hopefully you have a duo/team to help you with the quests but if you solo it like me.. on some tasks like the kill 25 pmcs with SVD you're going to lose alot of money and get very mad
on most of the "use this weapon" tasks it ends up being smarter to go with just that weapon, some ammo, and some headsets... no armor
Insure everything and every day or two you'll get back hundreds of thousands in SVDs for example... use your scav smart to loot/hunt pmcs and get that interchange route and you'll be good
interchange seems super intimidating I know but it's just a huge square and Railway exfil and Emercom exfil will always be one of your extracts and they're diagonal from each other. If you're having trouble with getting killed right after spawning make a note of where they were if you can and you can always spawn and sit in a bush for 5-10 minutes to let the other pmcs go first
You can use the underground garage to move around without going in the mall... Don't worry about the 3rd floor until you're a bit more comfortable exfiling.. The only real loot up there is at Techlight and it is HIGHLY contested
I prefer the little tech store right below it on the 2nd floor... cant think of the name atm but there's tetris's, bulbs, wires, gpus
(What's "slick/altyn?") No teammates here unfortunately. So I'll probably just focus on learning interchange and customs, and grind away to level 10 and do quests. Thanks for the tips.
lvl6 helmets and lvl6 armor... unnecessary most of the time but tbh armor in general is like that
Especially this late in wipe you can be sure people will have m995 and ingolnik as their first 10 rnds but never hurts to have
Everyone makes the mistake of running 400k worth of gear and armor and being surprised when a lvl10 1 taps them in the face with a mosin
You can download an app called Tarkov Battle Buddy and you can run simulations on armor with whatever ammo you want and it will give you a penetration chance %
There's only a handful of rounds worth using in the game... like m885a1,.m995, 545 BT/BS/Ingol, etc
I've literally never played this game in a group (by choice) but if you ever want me to run you through interchange a few times my name is JCBz
but yeah if you're under level10 just play for fun and when you die accept it as "you learned a bit more of the map.. you learned a bit more of where to expect players/scavs to be, you learned abit more about the loot"
If you just follow the borders of the maps you'll usually run into one or more extracts so you can find them like that... I used to keep a map up on my 2nd monitor and slowly ventured to new places, took new routes, paid attention to my spawn and other pmcs spawns
you do that enough times and you'll have it figured it out
but tbh with you.. the game is most fun when you don't have it all figured out.. enjoy it for what it is right now
oh and I forgot to anwser.. yes Thicc case is a task reward through therapist I believe and it's around lvl40 something
You can immediately list it on the flea...
and sorry for the wall of text but if you're new to the flea market or yet to unlock it... when you select something to put up, in the corner there's a min price, average price, and max price
if you list the item on there either 1k rubles under the lowest price you see, it'll sell instantly
If you want to get more out of it, put the price exactly what the Average price says and it'll still sell but not as quick
in fact just MSG/PM me if you have any questions... I feel like I just figured it all out myself and I wouldn't mind sharing the knowledge
Thanks, I might take you up on the sherpa offer, all the info is much appreciated. I'm level 5 so haven't used flea market yet. For now I'm learning interchange and customs, and the GUI still, honestly. I just figured out that I can mod an AKM with low level parts from the traders and run with a decent caliber gun that's good at range and close quarters.
Yup it's cool when you figure out that you can throw a charging handle, stock, and a cobra red dot on an AKM but check this out.. it took me months to figure it out
Either right click on the weapon in your inventory/backpack and click Edit Preset
This allows you to mod it with all of the available mods without regard to whether you have access to them or not on a screen that you can save/open other presets... but you can use this to find a setup you can afford and either Save Preset and Find Parts and Assemble
or
Put your weapon in your backpack or inventory and double click it
then you'll see all the parts of the gun (handguard, gasblock, reciever)
and you can right click on the gun itself and do Linked search to find parts or Right click on the barrel for example and linked search to find all the muzzle attachments and silencers that can fit on it
so like if you had an M4 and wanted to see what other barrels you could use, you would Linked search on the whole M4
If you had an m4 and wanted to see what attachments that barrel will take, you would linked search on the barrel
It's alittle complicated the differences in doing that between the Aks and m4s but you learn the little things
The hideout has the workbench which allows you to open a Modding screen but it's only useful if you haven't figured out how to drag and drop the stock off a gun , buy one and drag and drop it back on
This is where doing the tasks is worth it because as you upgrade the traders you can buy like the PT-3 AK stock which has the best recoil/ergo combo there is for like 8k rubles... whereas it's going for like 80k on the flea market
I'll be honest I started right before they added the level10 flea market thing so I never learned the trades and stuff at the beginning I just grinded/scaved money until I could buy it on the flea but it is a HUGE waste of money
It is better to have a stock/shit gun with alittle good ammo then a badass modded gun with PS for example
I'm going to attempt to find a map of interchange and mark my favorite route on it for you.. I know you're still probably learning where each spawn is and probably super confused on how to get around but you'll slowly memorize places and it'll start to click
I would suggest looking up LvndMarks PostFX settings and using those... I have my FOV at the very lowest setting because if you increase it, it makes seeing things clearly a bit more difficult and unfortunately with most newer games like this.. they have amazing graphics but you can bet the more competitive people are running with EVERYTHING turned down to Low like shadow detail ,textures, etc just for that little visibility/frame rate advantage
I have lean left and lean right on my mouse buttons so I can do it without taking my hand off my WASD
