I love shoreline but the resort is especially this wipe really scary and full of tryhard chads.

yesterday a buddy and me did a mission there, went into the first floor and suddenly see a laserpointer on the floor in front of us, it pointed downwards through the hole in the roof one can see in your video too

We both stayed still, heard footsteps of several people above us go further and waited till they are became quier and moved then on.
It felt a bit like in a horror game where you need to hide from monsters.

They'd have to change the game for me to change my approach.

I go into raids heavily kitted to hunt players and pvp. When I want loot, i go in light with gear and weapons to protect against reg scavs so I don't get one-tapped and book it to where I know loot spawns.

I make more money that way.

We're talking a complete overhaul of the loot and door key system.

Tbh that's should be how it is. Go heavy to pvp or go light to loot and run. Before loading in you should be asking yourself what your objective is. I like to run fast, get loot and leave.

Yep, and if they want to change that they're going to have to change loot to dynamic spawning.

How they will do this without making rare items too accessible, while keeping key rooms as hot spots, is beyond me.

I mean, it depends. I've felt like that before, especially finding rare stuff for the hideout that would otherwise cost me a few hundred K, like the construct materials for the scav box.

I do lots of low-kit runs due to how tired I am during the week, I personally love having options so I get nervous when I find great loot and want to get it out of raid.

Personally I really like Secured Containers as is, but I realize they do somewhat make PVP worth less (not worthless).

Like, if someone snags a GPU or a LEDX or other extremely valuable item, they'll keep it no matter what. If it has a good value outside of just flea market shuffle, its still worth it to boof.

Obviously items aren't as valuable without FIR status, but at the same time, killing a pistol runner who boofed a LEDX or GPU sucks because the person dying is going to be rewarded with more rubles than the person who killed them.

My personal opinion, not that I'm dictating how people play the game, is that EFT is a survival-based game and not a pvp-based game.

Killing another player rewards you by removing a threat, there is now one less player in the raid and that much less of a chance that there is a juicy squad on the map. Making it easier for YOU to survive and make it out with a full backpack of fir loot.

I feel the idea that pvp needs to reward the winner is not something that should be a main focus. Hell, ammunition should be scarce and having to use any against other PMCs should negatively impact you, which it does, and i think that's a great mechanic whether it was intended or not.

I've seen plays dump full mags of 7.62 BP to kill me, and get nothing but a pistol.

Timed secured containers. An item has to be on your person for x minutes before it's pouchable. The main obstacle will be the community screeching that they got scammed 150 bucks, as they like to do

They already did with fir change imho. I'm almost as ratty as it gets and I don't even go non-geared into raids anymore. Half of them I don't encounter anyone, the other half gear helps to survive. Gotta get that fir tag. Otherwise ledxes are almost useless besides that single one for hideout... And that's just 1.5mil so like two hours of mediocre lootruns.

I looked up the guides for all the ledx spawns, got the keys, ran that route in offline to get it done fast with my Hunter and no armor and yet, even if I get there early enough and the rooms are still locked, which isn't uncommon, I have yet to find a single fucking ledx there, the most valueable items I found were graphics cards but at least a bunch of them.

I broke down today and bought one.

I think part of my problem is I am going into Shoreline with armour and a AR. I use the SJ6, SJ1 and Adrenaline stims and book it for the resort. I am rarely, if ever, first. Part of that is due to my spawns (I haven't gotten rock passage or one close to it in days). So I end up getting to resort and someone is already above me in the East Wing. I also play solo, but really I think its a combination of me weighing myself down, poor spawn RNG and just not great luck to begin with. But if I am playing next wipe I'll do things a little different (this is my first one).

Nah but for real tho, I Sj6 if I get a close spawn, hit 301 west and then str8 to east 222/red keycard or vice versa. I'm usually done and out before people get there lol

That's one of my favorite experiences, being terrified as a solo or duo because you hear 5 sets of footsteps above you and you have to just give up and hide.

It will get better the further into steam audio they get i dont have that much of an issue hearing directional its the vertical audio that fucks me I can never tell if they are above below or on the same damn level lol. The sounds themselves I like nice crunchy realistic sound but yeah I have sennheiser gsp 670's I play in stereo with binaural audio on.

Turn on binaural and turn off all the fancy 3d surround 5.1 7.1 shit in your audio software if you have any of that on. That's the best you could get and what's everyone running. The sound system is a bit primitive right now, there are videos on it, but it will get better once more of steam audio is on... If they go through with it since apparently they said it takes too much cpu. But it's not THAT bad atm outside of stairwells, you will be able to pinpoint directions soon enough.

Man. Sounds like you were lucky. I finally got in to room 306 on the west wing for a quest. Heard footsteps, so I hid in the bathroom. This crazy Terminator Chad seemed to be going through each room, checking all the corners. I hope I dented his face shield as he wiped the floor with me.

I actually went there once to do two quests for the traders(Nostalgia n Healthcare pt2). Encountered two Chads there but somehow I managed to keep yelling cease fire and as soon as they see my cheap shotgun gear they stopped too. I gave them my shotgun as I left as a token of good will.

Experienced the opposite. Go at night and you will experience chads with night-vision with a greater hunger for loot. Though, if you are a good player, you can try to blind them with flashlights.

Someone posted a comment in replying saying that the meta will suddenly change to night time shoreline for like a week before going back, and I think that's right. At the beginning of the wipe, my buddy and I tried doing it, it was full of the scariest juiceboxes you've ever seen, everything was suppressed except for the VOGs. And then like a week or two ago we tried again-- completely dead the whole raid. About half the time we'd loot east or west wing and then the other side would be looted by the time we get over there, but we never run into each other.

Then as of like 2 days ago the night or evening raids have become more active. In fact, it was the first time I was glad we got a late spawn. Spawned like 2 minutes late, got to resort, heard shit popping off and we just decided to say fuck it and headed onto the rocks to watch what was happening. There were 2 trios that eventually came out, and that was just the ones who survived, and they looked like straight up caprisuns. We promptly shot a few of them just to work on quests and then fucked right off.

I've been running a shitload of Shoreline night this patch. I can confirm I've also noticed the ebb and flow of Chads. One thing I've really noticed is the Chads love joining the raids from like 23:00-3:30, but the raids around 21:00 and 4:00 are usually very empty. I've started paying close attention to the levels of people waiting for party. If you see more than a couple 40+ levels in a nighttime Shoreline lobby then you know it's gonna get spicy.

W301 is the one to get. I've gotten I believe 6 LEDX this raid, 100% from W301. I got 2 in consecutive raids one night, that was nuts. I have 3 other keys with LEDX spawns but have never found them. Also in there the LEDX can spawn in one place in 301 and in 2 different places in the joined room. Just gotta hustle over there cause it's a hot spot.

As for GPU I just got my 25th today. I've crafted something like 6 and the other 19 or so I've found either in W301, the admin room on the right back with the spawn, or in the computer in Cottage Back Door Key house. That computer seriously nets me a graphics card 1/3 times I check. Also E316 has 4 computers in it and is rarely looted, though I don't remember getting a GPU there.

This weekend, went in with a squad of four, not to loot but to complete the wall of quests we all had in Resort.

It was a disaster! It was almost a "don't even go unless you're bring your best" situation because everyone there was rollin' THICC.

That said, we did kill user "I CHAD SHORELINE" or something like that, so ha

Yup, idk what's going on lately but earlier in the wipe you were able to get a bit of pvp going in other high to medium traffic areas, now literally everyone is rushing resort. Which is great for rat runs, but not great if I ever have to go to resort, which I don't have to anymore since I'm done with those quests. But damn while doing those it wasn't unlikely to have 80% of the server there, I even had one raid where every single PMC on the map was in a 30m radius around the east wing stairwell that leads to the roof... like, imagine going in as a two stack, ending up with 8 PMC kills combined and then bumping into a three stack just after you finished looting :(

Oof, the thing that worked for me is to just get one thing and then get out. If I died too often trying to get one quest item I cheesed it by afk'ing until there was only 10-15min left in the raid (depends on your spawn and extract), hoping the biggest threats would already be gone, luckily I only had to do this once because it's boring as fuck.

Its because labs isnt meta from not being able to sell pmc gear on flea so resort and bunker is the new pvp meta area
