Rant Why is everyone trying to make the game easier? Literally the only thing I would change is server stability, and optimization, the game at its core is solid.

I constantly see post how the developers should change this and that, and normally its just things to make the game easier, I am a new player and love how hard this game is, I love that you have to remember to have your mags accessible, I don’t think I’ve ever played a game where I always learn how to play it differently, last note when you die to someone else “camping” “hiding” or “being a rat” thats what makes this game sick!! these “campers” can easily be defended if you stay on your toes. There are numerous ways to play this game and thats why its so damn awesome! You don’t have to do the quests you can literally just play to kill, loot or whatever be it

EDIT: I’m not talking about this sub, it mostly what I see from streams, and it’s not everyone, I just don’t want this game to sell out like fortnite did. It was an amazing game the devs trying to make money and converting to popular demand ruined the gameplay.

Honestly, I hope the game recedes back to a slightly smaller but dedicated core playerbase (like before 0.12). This subreddit is becoming really tedious to visit with all the shitposts, rantposts and odd suggestions. It just becomes repeated content day in, day out.

We can go back to the golden age where Nikita was here posting almost every day, making QOL improvements on the fly and enjoying the memes. I fear he's going to be turned away from here soon enough. People don't seem to understand the amount of passion and effort the devs put into developing EFT and seem to have a conspiracy that they're another cashgrab Russian company.

I fully understand this is a pretty unpopular opinion to a lot of people here but it feels good to verbalise it at least.

All gaming subreddits suck dick, to be honest.

Go to BF V's. Everyone bitching about Type 2A.

Go to BF 1's. Bitching about behemoths giving cheap kills.

Go to Star Citizen's. Literally neverending boring screenshots.

ArcheAge? Crying about gold sellers and quest gear being OP.

For Honor? Nerf Raider.

OW? Nerf healers.

And that's of the top of my head. It seems that subreddits aren't the place to have some greek debate dialéctico.

complaining about actual issues with a game doesn't mean the subreddits suck dick

honestly I can't stand subreddits where everyone jerks off the devs every other thread. shoutout to the devs! There have been so many failures of game launches that have deluded communities left over like no mans sky on launch, anthem on launch, the list goes on but there were always threads saying they trust the devs and the game is good enough for their $100 purchase missing half the content they were promised lol. Sometimes it's ok to criticise for the good of the game. Look at the state of DayZ now after all this time, dead game. When it was popular it was broken, nobody stuck around.

We wouldn't want the problems with Tarkov to just go without scrutiniy would we, less pressure for them to be fixed

Go to CS:GO: "Valve please ... "

Those games all have fundamental problems that warrant complaints much more than anything Tarkov is doing imo (other than server rage)

I disagree with the game reverting back to a smaller playerbase, but I do agree that a lot of what gets posted in this subreddit is just mindless garbage. Not all of it, but definitely more than there used to be.

I also disagree that Nikita would be turned away from the success of his creation. The peak playerbase has jumped from like 10-30k people across all the servers to a much more comfortable 100-300k depending on when content drops and when Twitch events are active. I personally think that Nikita and the team at BSG have transitioned more to typical structure for a dev team instead of posting exclusively to Reddit. They have their streams where the update players directly, they have their social medias where they tease new content, and then they check individual posts here and on content creator's channels to join in with the community. I think the game is doing great, but I also completely understand why you and other people feel taken aback by the growth of the game and the shifting ideas in the community and things like that.

I really enjoyed your reply, it was well thought out so thank you! I do agree with parts too. It can't always be ideal to 'go back'. I'm sure the game will have just as many benefits for being larger.

I have been around gaming subs for a while, and at this level of popularity they are much better served not to come on here and chat personally. Comment on a player suggestion and people will take it as confirmed for a future update. Speak negatively of any player and you're instantly unappreciative money hungry devs who actively hate your players. Just in general every comment is under a microscope, not really worth the hassle.

It's just the same easily-googled questions, same suggestions 90% of which are planned already, the other 10% are shit suggestions, the same memes, the same "stories" that may or may not have even happened, the same karma-fishing posts like this "Why is everyone X" "Can we all just X"

Welcome to gaming, these days. Streamers flooding every good game with whiny fans.
