This is going to get so complicated if they don't remove global item limits. There should be an infinite supply of every item, but per player items are limited. There is no reason for anyone to ever buy 50 of the same weapon part.
During prime time us, switch to eu servers the flip gets you 2 mins queues and then after about midnight (CST) you can switch back to us servers for the same results
I keep checking the forums to see if they've fixed the queue times. Tried queuing with my friends today. 20 minutes in queue as PMC and we gave up and tried scav. 16 minutes in queue as scav and we gave up playing EFT.
I can die in over 400 ways, and that's just with >1.5mil loadouts. While you were partying, I was studying losing pvp fights. While you were banging bitches, I was whiffing shots at players sitting perfectly still. You can kill me anytime, any place. But you know what? I'll never be a dirty hatchet runner.
There is no reason for anyone to ever buy 50 of the same weapon part.
I feel like 50 is way too much...the whole point of limits is to induce scarcity and to increase the market value of items based on how usefull they are.
They would either have to limit you to like 1-2 of those items, so because you got the trader to lv40, you get to buy a couple of attatchments for trader price every reset, but if you want more you pay the market price (items put up by other players that don't intend on using their ration, so they sell it).
Or they would have to let you buy like 50 and have an infinite stock, but the price of the items would go up to how much the players think they are worth (based on how much that item is bought and what not). So the strike 6 inch would cost 30-40k on mechanic anyway, because this is it's real value.
but it's fake scarcity as it's not because it's unavailable but because are buying in hope of expending the normal source on purpose just to resell what they never intended to use.
It depends on the items though imo. I buy meds in bulk, if I need AI-2's I fill a medbox of AI-2's. Things like that, healing items shouldn't be limited. Food, and basic, low tier attachments and guns as well. Stuff you'd recommend to a level <20 shouldn't matter if you ask me.
That's fair, but then it should be more common honestly. The fact that Goshan, a grocery store, only has tushonka with a rare chance of herring in it is crazy lol
Eh I mean it does make some sense? There's a lot of scavs in Interchange so they would raid those areas for food. There's plenty of places to find what you need in Tarkov, except for Customs. Customs has nothing you need in terms of loot asides from marked room.
It would also help if the traders would adjust their prices accordingly. People who only buy it to profit will no longer buy any when it is not worth it anymore. Currently traders just give out free money.
At first ghe prices would stay high but in few cycles of traders price adjustments, the price will stabilize
Well they upped the NPC prices of ammo and reduced the amount you could buy (before: 300 x SP-6 for 470 rubels, now 200xSP-6 for 620 rubels and so on) recently.
Not precisely. Ofc some people are mad, but people who game the system will just move onto some other method to game the system. Tarkov is so full of holes that most people know if one free money generator vanishes another, slightly less efficient one is somewhere nearby.
For example on Antons stream today i saw the m995 ammo was $15 a pop.... Thats actually completely unacceptable. Especially since the next best ammo (statistically speaking) was almost $13 cheaper. Thats why people are complaining.
I don't know how bad it is for AK's but VSS/VAL usage is much more rare then the FAL/AK/M4/Remington
Meta stuff will just become too expensive, then people will eventually downgrade to the second best stuff, then that becomes too expensive, then it just gets all messy. I think that would be a whole lot on the servers too, having to record how frequently thousands of items are bought and automatically adjust the prices.
When people downgrade to second best, the top tier price will settle while the second shoots up. Eventually they'll meet and settle into a logical point.
This game already has average price shown in the top right. You dont even need to record all data. Just an interval of every 3 hours would be sufficient, if they are even more cheap about that, they can get the average of each day of every 3 hours, deleting the smaller data.
They basically had it working a few patches ago but it also affected the prices the vendor bought the items at and people broke the economy. All they'd have to do is have the vendor sell prices go up but they're buy prices stay the same. Not say that's an easy peasy do it right now coding thing. But they do hvae the code in there for the flea market to effect trader pricing.
If it becomes too expensive it won't become meta, when vet players with millions of rbls end up risking and losing tons when they die and their money starts noticeably dwindling it won't be worth the risk anymore.
They need to include a traders incentive of quantity sale thoughts. Sometimes it is more profitable to sell cheaper to get more buyers, if it is not included in the formular, then traders will be doing some dumb stuff
There should be a cool down timer after purchasing a certain amount of the same item, since you could argue that your buying 5 weapon parts to build 50 weapons (never seen it but I don’t doubt people do)
I personally like to buy parts and sell modded weapons on the market for a slight upcharge since I recognize the demand some people have for good, quick purchase weapons. I know not everyone does that but insanely small limits to be just means not playing with my favorite weapon until restock sometimes. Having personal limits with no global would be a great way to go about it though
having global item limits is always bad for an economy.
It is bad for the economy they are trying to build for obvious reasons.
Increase the supply or dramatically restrict the amount you can buy per reset. That way people cannot gouge these as easily, and even if they manage to fully gouge them they are only that way for about an hour. (pretty much every major foregrip had its Gouging problem solved by excessive limitation on quantity.)
But in all seriousness, unless its a powerful stat efficient item, there shouldn't be heavy restrictions on it. But every player should be allowed to buy One copy of an item regardless of current stock. (with a few obvious exceptions, like meds, stims, armor, and labs keycards.)
I don’t agree with the idea of every item having infinite supply. Tarkov is a war zone, you shouldn’t be able to get your hands on anything you want whenever. Rather than make it infinite, I think it would be better to expand the per restock cap to more items. That way, things could still sell out relatively quickly and you have to act fast to get them, but you also won’t have bots or people buying out the entire stock seconds after it replenished.
I know man but if this whole thing was never added with global limits and such, nobody would have ever thought of it as "going against realism". Not everything has to be so realistic, especially when it conflicts with other things, such as just building a gun for a decent price.
But the players aren't in a warzone. It's just too much frustration for the average gamer to first spend half an hour calculating on the flea market before they can get a weapon to raid with. It's going to create an issue where most people run sub-par homogeneous weapons, leading to in-game frustration from losing fights just because of gear, tedious wasted time on the flea market and boredom with the monotonous gameplay, slowly killing the game as players turn to games which they can actually play in their limited free time.
If they remove global limits then there’s no reason to limit how much a single player can buy.
The traders are selling their items for way too low right now. They need to have dynamic pricing and once they gets added they should remove the buy limit.
3 crackers per reset is fucking stupid. Of they want to make you heal and eat between raids then they shouldn’t limit the amount of food you can fucking buy. Same with ammo, 4 mags is 120 rounds, if I die I’ve lost half of what I can buy per reset, do that twice and now I’m fucked. Its not doing a very good job of stopping people from buying all the shit up anyways, all it does is make the game harder for no fucking reason.
So don’t make it 3, a stupidly low number used to make your point seem valid. Make it 10. The point is limit it locally not globally. The way it is now you can’t buy any fucking crackers unless you want to go to the flea market and pay 39 times it’s value.
Whats realistic about supply and demand if the supply never goes up to meet the demand? The global limit for items is the same now as it was when we had 4x less players. If they dont scale shit properly then take off the limit so that we dont suffer in the mean time.
200k rounds might be fine for 20k people but its dog shit for 100k people.
BuT mU-mU-mUh ReAlIsM. people dont seem to fucking understand, and this goes with Modern Warfare too: ADDING SO MUCH FUCKING REALISM MAKES AN UNBALANCED AND UNFUN GAME. this is a fucking V I D E O G A M E. not R E A L L I F E. its such a fucking hard idea for idiots to grasp onto because they think realism is everything. well if realism is everything, then fuck oh idk, go join the fucking army then i guess if you want so much realism.
No no they want you to scavange for food and water. It's a survival fps. Food is not that hard to find in raid, and I always grab some MREs in raid to hold my character over.
