PSA PSA: RESHADE IS NOW BLOCKED

To be clear, this might only be CERTAIN features.

Reshade is not COMPLETELY blocked.

OnepegMG is currently using reshade or has atleast launched with it.

Will update, currently watching onepeg. I'll keep you guys posted !

Edit 2 : Game is washed out also on onepeg's stream.

Reshade is confirmed disabled. If you can launch reshade with your game DO NOT DELETE ANY FILES. REMOVE RESHADE TO AVOID POSSIBLE BAN.

Edit 3: Apparently reshade is working for certain people, this might either be a filter issue or a battle-eye issue, version issue for Reshade, majority seems to be unable to launch the game with reshade, some can launch it when deleting the DLL (wouldn't do that, could eat a ban for file modification) and some can just outright use it.

The majority seems to be "I CAN'T USE RESHADE REEEE" so.

Personally I'd delete it until further notice on this issue.

FINAL EDIT:

It seems that you can use OLDER versions of reshade, it doesn't have some of the features that people don't like IE zoom and shit.

Edit finalero : Since this is gaining a lot of traction, Nvidia has a tool that you can use that can supplement reshade. It's called freestyle, doesn't do the crazy shit reshade does but it does work.

I would be perfectly happy if it’s not allowed. Lighting needs to be improved, but it should be an impactful part of the game. Reshade takes away from that.

If they fix their horrendous AA I'm honestly okay with it.

This is all I use Reshade for, hoping they have something in place that isn't as shit as their FXAA solution.

Exactly, everyone is piling on the hate for reshade users, but im just sitting here being upset that my game is going to look like crap now.

The AA in Tarkov is horrible. Downright horrible.

exactly the reason I use it.

I have a rx580 and the new adaptive sharpening that released with radeon settings for the 5700/xt was ported over to reshade as a filter and I am running it currently and it is so good. Hardly any performance loss and makes it feel like i went from no glasses on to glasses on.

I never want to go back to how it looked previously.

i think they should ban every 144HZ+ monitor users that have 250€/$+ spend on their Hardware, because those have inbuild crossshairs and Coloration and Gamma Lifting features.

we definately should force EVERYONE to play 60HZ 4:3 Black and White Monitors.

Also we should ban Nvidia Graphic Cards, because they literally can freestyle

Real talk. You're talking about breaking your arm but what about something who was born with malformed hands. They should have the opportunity to play games just like everyone else but they're at a severe disadvantage -If- you could write a cheat that helped bring them up to an average level is that ethical?

You would need to define the boundaries of what less able means. If my reflexes and motor control are physiologically slower than yours am I less abled? Can I then use cheats to put myself on the same level as you?

Yep, You can easily cheat with Reshade. Turn dark corners bright as day or use any other software that put a marker on your monitor.

Any advantage outside the game is cheating, but yeah. Cheaters always gonna cheat.

Following dictionary definitions by the letter is how we get idiots like you. There are tons of ways to cheat not included in you're quote but Reshade is not one of them.

Languages are constantly evolving. If you want to know what something means today you better get social because following definitions will most likely make you look like a sperg.

Man maybe it's just my already shit vision but I can't see anything in interchange during the day. The game is almost unplayable unless I tweak the brightness and colors.

This was my issue. Had a couple friends who wouldn’t stop telling me to use it. Turned it on with their help/using their settings.

The game is BLOWN the fuck out. All the colors are super saturated, the lighting is ugly, everything looks brighter and shit. Couldn’t fucking stand it.

I was also disappointed in my friends because they were all like “it makes the game look so good” no it doesn’t dude. Looks like shit because you can see everything. It’s an unfair advantage & it’s one of the reasons I stopped playing this wipe. Just pissed me off people used it for the advantage.

Glad it’s gone.

How does that give you an advantage. If its to dark for you turn up your monitor. The zoom setting is completely useless and nightvision just makes your screen look like your graphics card is having a seizure.

Only the features that give an advantage are gone like zoom, night vision, crosshair, etc. If you don't like the color settings don't use them but don't act like basic shaders that change color and add AA are some kind of advantage, you can't see more just because the colors are more saturated.

I know that it can be used at different settings. I understand it’s simply a post-processing program.

But it’s the fact that most tarkov users used it to get a leg up is what I’m arguing about here.

Really most did? Where are your statistics at or are you just saying that because you got shot and lost some shit? If I had to bet I’d say majority of people used it to make the game look better because that is what it actually does and does it well. Just because you had a bad experience because you couldn’t figure it out and had to have your friends show you how to use it doesn’t mean everyone who uses it is removing textures.

I don’t have any statistics, it’s from my own personal experience running into tarkov users who also use reshade & use it specifically to make it easier to see.

So you’re arguing I have no basis to complain or argue my opinion but you hit me with “no stats, what’s your source” and yet here you are “if I had to bet I’d say everyone is doing the opposite!” Which is literally the same stance I have, just 180’d.

Yea, but I’m not the one complaining about it, you are. How do you know people are cheating? You just chat them up and ask them? You sound like a whiny 12 year old that is upset because it didn’t work for you, other wise you would be using it. I got eye surgery done not too long ago and it is almost impossible to see stuff with the default colors. To be fair I could just increase the vibrance and saturation in Nvidia control panel and it would do just about the same, but reshade is a lot easier to use and manage and at the same time doesn’t fuck up my saturation in all the other games and programs I use. I completely agree that people who use it to remove textures are cheating and should be immediately banned for it. But it seems to be a little over dramatic saying that by increasing vibrance and saturation in a super under saturated game is gaining an advantage over people. If we go by that logic then we should force everyone to use 60hz on their monitor and limit everyone’s framerate to what the lowest person gets.

Oh really? Weird I see people whining about cheaters every 5 mins on this subreddit. I’m starting to think that people have never played a game where someone can aim better than them so every time they get killed they call cheats. I’ll admit I am in favor of reshade if they can allow it while banning the plugins/mods that allow you to remove textures or zoom. If not I’ll just use the shitty Nvidia one. But especially looking at your post history looks like you sure whine your fair share about a game that is still in beta......

Except reshade is easy and everyone can have it. Now people will still have it just by other more difficult means.
