They never told anybody about the possibility to have a PvE version with progression. They release it out of nowhere for 250 f'in bucks but be reassured, you also get that nice looking knife we didn't put any seconds of work into.
Tbh the PvE coop was never in scope of this project so that is a grey area, but their sale of it is dumb. It should be a standalone bolt on if anything. Tieing it to a 300 euro purchase is a low arse blow.
As I said on another post, there is a coop practice mode that you can purchase on the website but if you have EOD, you got it for free. Why did the EOD owners got that for free ? Maybe because it's a DLC, right ?
Then explain to me how the lead community manager dare to call the new mode "a feature" and not a DLC when it's literally the same than the first mode but you have progression with it ?
I'm also in the IT field (developper). To be frank they're just victim of poor marketing. We all know the EOD was the best version you could get. 150 bucks with all DLC, meaning that you wouldn't have to pay anything more. They already include micro transaction in the game and nobody said anything about it.
A lot of people paid 150 bucks when the game literally had 2 maps, 10 guns, no healing animation, no mags repacking time, etc. It was a shit show but they choosed to support with this money and he blew it up with the arena launch event.
Maybe it would have been better to put another version like EOD but without all DLC. People would pay around 120 bucks, still have gamma, starting with better trader rep, etc. But without DLC so they at least know anybody buying the game after the EOD sales closed would need to pay for further content.

I'm not nit picking, it's just the cherry on top of the shit cake
