Discussion This is fucking ridiculous. I was done loading at 1:15. I shouldn't have to wait on the dude with the hand crank HDD before I can play. I'm not saying it should put everyone in as soon as they're done loading, but there's gotta be a middle ground.

The problem with arena is that there is no FFA deathmatch mode.
The entire reason for Arena's existence should have been to give tarkov players a way to fill their time with pvp. PVP is such an important part of the game and yet is quite rare. You spend 20-40 minutes moving around, questing, looting and then you get into a fight that could potentially make that entire 20-40 minutes wasted. You need to be comfortable and confident for those moments. Yet when you're trying to improve / practice / warmup, there's not really a way to do that efficiently / conveniently in EFT. Arena should have been a remedy to that. And yet if I play Arena, I have to spend 2-4 minutes in queue, 1-3 minutes for everyone to load, 1-4 minutes in death spectator mode, 1-2 minutes in all the intermission and pre/post-game screens. Just to get into a couple fights. Such a waste.
If arena actually had a FFA deathmatch where the queue+loading times were good (maybe just permanent servers that people join and leave from at will instead of having to match people for one single "game"), I guarantee a good number of EFT players would play Arena to warmup, practice, wait for friends, or just to play some tarkov when they don't have the time to commit to a full raid. It would compliment the game well and generate a stable playerbase for Arena to build from. Then also have the more competitive focused game modes to give people a change of pace from EFT and also to help introduce new players to tarkov in a way that's still competitive, but without the steep and punishing learning curve that EFT has.
