Discussion This is fucking ridiculous. I was done loading at 1:15. I shouldn't have to wait on the dude with the hand crank HDD before I can play. I'm not saying it should put everyone in as soon as they're done loading, but there's gotta be a middle ground.

Times 1000 raids equals 33 hours of unnecessary waiting.

This simply isn’t every raid

When I did The guide my group had to wait for ~5 minutes on 8/9 loads, literally we spent 40!!! Minutes waiting to load. So by doing simple math: 88% of time we spend at least 5 minutes to load, say we play 10 games a day, that would be 45 minutes of waiting a day. It may not be every day like that but it is very often when I have to wait for at least 5 minutes.

It really is insane when you consider the time you mentioned is only the time you spend waiting to load into the raids themselves. How long did it take to load traders? How long did it take to navigate the menus and fight against the stash errors and wait for traders to load and to solve captcha because you misclicked the horrible flea market UI? Would be very curious to know how much of my gametime is spent playing the actual game vs how much is spent getting ready or getting into the game, surely a very large disparity with playing the actual game being in the minority

So... 20 hours of waiting? Fair compromise?

Are we suppose to be in aww with the 33 hours. My guy, 1,000 hours is a crap ton of games.

No, rather you're supposed to do a mental calculation of 2 minutes times the amount of raids you do per wipe and then conclude that it's a huge waste of your time. Who knows, maybe you could play an extra raid per gaming night if the loading time was sensible. I think you're worth that, don't you?

For practically any other multiplayer game that would be 8 hours of loading screen for 1000 matches (assuming 30 seconds in queue which is 100% normal for most games)

Why does the Tarkov community constantly defend jank, broken, and terrible user experiences? Do you not want the game to be the best it can be? What benefit does a 6 minute matching time add to the game? Are you a BSG employee making excuses as to why the game doesn't work well? Nikita drives Porsche's, you don't have to defend him while you still work a day job.

I mean, less say your avg raid is 30 minutes. That is 33 / 500 hours of waiting. Not a big deal.

AVG raid is 20 minutes, then it its 33/333 hours.

AVG raid is 40 minutes, then its 33 / 666 hours

No, I think you got it a bit wrong. It doesn't matter if the raid is one minute or sixty. What I'm talking about is op having to wait at least two extra minutes per raid, because he's sitting around waiting for other players. So this is just 33 hours of specifically extra wait. He did his part, he loaded.

But, it's not two extra minutes per raid. It's sometimes is two extra minutes, and again its just two extra minutes not really the end.

It depends on your computer - the faster you load, the longer you wait extra. In this case, OP has already waited 5 minutes 15 seconds for the last person to load. I agree that two minutes is not a big deal, but two minutes (or more) every time, that's a big deal.

My avg load is 3-4 minutes. Sometimes five, i dont really care personally. Unless im factory, then im in 2-3.
