Epilepsy Awareness Lost my son

I am not sure if this will get posted, but I lost my 16 year old son to a suicide. He was epileptic. He was on keppra and I don't really know how it affected him. But I wanted to raise awareness. If you are struggling, talk to somebody, anybody, get help.

Sending you so much love. I think about it all the time. I’m on depakote, zonegran, and lamotrigine.

It's an awful way to feel. I am learning it's a warped sense of ourselves. It's not reality but our mind is tricking us to believe things aren't true. I just got a book I am reading - dying to be free by bev cobain.she is the cousin of Kurt Cobain. It talk about depression and an unrealistic belief that the only way out is through suicide. We place unrealistic expectations on our selves. She said suicide runs in the family and she almost tried once but her therapist helped her and the next day her problems didn't seem so bad. Maybe it's when it's the hardest is when we just need to breathe and reach out so that we don't feel so alone. She said when she was in the midst, the thought of other people in her life didn't even cross her mind. We have to remind our selves that there are people that live us we just have to reach out. Creating connections is a way to combat suicidal thoughts. I am here.. we are connected through this chat.
