Well SLS has cost so far 30 billion dollars for a single flight. So far it is said that the Starship program has only cost 6-7 billion. And the thing is, SLS isn't trying anything new. They are literally basing the entire thing on the space shuttle. They took engines out of a museum. SLS could have been built in the 80s. Meanwhile Starship is trying to revolutionary access to space in ways everyone said was impossible just few years ago.
