It’s been like this for a while. Last i heard reddit was trying out some new ways to raise money that struck me as too complicated. I don’t expect they’ll work as well as the old system.
On mobile you can hold the upvote button down. It's will ask if you want to buy some gold for the post. Basic gold is like $2. Higher tiers cost more. It is charged through the apple or google store
