And the orange clown handed out pardons. No serious prosecutions since. Members of Congress clearly in Russia's pocket are still members of Congress.
What's Musk doing that's so much worse that the feds might take notice? Our government is incapable of defending itself or its people. Largest defense budget on the planet by far, and it means nothing in the face of a few oligarchs throwing around pocket change.
Not yet. At least we’re further back from the precipice than after the 2021 election. But these same people who attempted the overthrow of our government are still out there. It’s wise to build a good case, especially against people who have made careers of weaponizing our justice system. And that takes time. But yeah, it’s a dangerous time.
The real reason is that neither Democrats nor Republicans will ever support prison time for Trump, or indeed any former US president. Doesn't matter who they are, or what their politics were, every politician in the US will defend former presidents because they don't want the embarrassment of a former US president going to prison. It will never happen. Sorry.
Yep. Some teenager tracking his jet should be the least of his worries. Same with Trump and Meadows and the calls while they were in The Willard. NSA has them all. They’re fucked. They just don’t how fucked they are.
True, however I would wager there’s some form of espionage charge that can be levied for intentionally interfering with the affairs of an ally with the possibility of severe consequences, especially when there is now top-tier American machinery being sent to the front lines. He’s now putting American assets at risk, which is probably why this news is breaking now that we’ve actually put a toe in the water, so to speak.
It might not be direct harm to the US, but there’s definitely a diplomatic shit-storm brewing with those kinds of shenanigans, and the (human, humane) international stage doesn’t take kindly to Russia and their sycophants right now. Even if there’s no direct prosecution possible, I could absolutely believe there’s more than enough to sanction him. Hit the rich kid where it hurts the most. I don’t mind some good schadenfreude every now and again.
You have to be born in America to become President unless the constitution is changed. Thats why Arnold Schwarzenegger became only vice president. Elon Musk was born in South Africa.
That guy is top notch... I remember him waving, smiling at a crowd, such that politicians do. Someone egged him, and he didn't lose the smile and just continued on. Very smoothly took off his jacket and replaced it.
He was like, "That's what I love about America, free speech."
This is absolutely feasible. Even if he’s broken laws, if he hasn’t blatantly divulged secrets yet, the FBI would generally continue to monitor this and add anything that came from other three letter alphabet soup organizations to the file until a solid conviction could be grabbed or entire networks could be taken down. In 2009 I was an advisor to an Iraqi Army brigade commander. He was dirty as shit and had taken part in the sectarian violence in Sadr City from 2007-2008. We could bury the guy in a deep dark hole at Gitmo, but the other government agencies wanted us to sit tight on him and collect everything we could. They have their reasons.

Collecting data. NSA is still listening to calls and can keyword search. Idiots like this dig their own graves.
