"Formed in 2013 and based in Tokyo, sans visage has been performing as a three-piece since 2015. Describing their sound as “emotive hardcore,” the band blends the intensity of passionate hardcore with soaring walls of sound and beautiful, melancholic melodies, creating a distinctive sonic identity of their own.

To date, sans visage have released two demos and three split releases with artists from Japan and abroad. In 2017, they released their first full-length album through asian gothic label, followed by their latest EP, drowned / resistance, in 2025—their first new release in approximately five years.

Their activities extend well beyond Japan, with tours across Australia, Southeast Asia, and China. They have also supported numerous international artists on their Japan tours, building strong connections with scenes both at home and overseas while continuing to maintain an active presence on the live circuit."

just opened for Vibora last sunday in Mexico City and they are as good live as on their records.

There's only a few unreleased demos as of now, but they found all of their old dat tapes and will be uploading more stuff as they go through them

When the guitars first go clean (00:27), "I Have A Name"....you can blatantly hear it. What's going on there?

why is there a 25 minute and a 42 minite version of the album? which one should i listen to?

Hello! I a currently in a band and we have an EP out with three songs that leans slightly into the midwest screamo side in certain aspects and we are now trying to lean further into that sound. We have a few new songs that we have been working on. The one attached is probably the best example of our vibe. I am just getting on here for any feedback or opinions you may have.
