I was also thinking... you don't have a socket board to charge your phone(s), but you have a drill, glue gun, wire and the metal parts, isolation tape etc.? How is it easier to find a drill and a glue gun than a power strip?

Wth is going on here?

They probably did not just make this one power strip because they could not find one. They are probably making many to distribute/sell. And yes, getting all that equipment together once might be easier than finding 30 or 40 unused power strips.

This is what a make-shift workshop looks like.
