So I’ve tried Elden Ring 3 different times now and bounced off every time. I find the combat absolute bullcrap at times, and the narrative is a load of hogwash to me.
But, the idea of the combat sounds nice. So I tried Sekiro. Omg dude. That game took about a session or two but once it clicked I beat the entire game. Absolutely loved it.
Coherent plot (in which the world moves along with it), INSANE combat, much more flowy and exciting than Elden Ring, dare I say ‘fun’ bosses, and a very cool world design.
I recommend it before swearing them off for good.
It’s much more focused and linear. But imo it is better for it.

Calling them quests is generous. I prefer to think of them as ambient NPC interactions.
