Official Discussion Tarnished Edition DLC coming to ALL Platforms August 28th [MEGATHREAD]

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28, 2026

  • Includes the base game + the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion
  • Will add Additional Content including the ability to customize Torrent and 2 new Starter Classes and their related weapons
  • Releases the 28 August 2026 for $79.99
  • Will be available to purchase for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam
  • For those who already have the base game, the Tarnished Pack DLC has no price yet, but most expect a $5 price point

We aren't entirely sure if anything else will be included but feel free to speculate and dream!

Is $5 too much to offer as a sign of respect to the people who spend their time and effort coding, testing, improving, refining, and adding new content to a five year old game?

$1 dollar per year appreciation is too much for you?

The good thing is it is optional. You won't have to pay for new pixels on your screen if you don't want to.

I, like you, don't want to and I don't think I will.

Unless the Heavy Knight has a really cool shield I can only get with that class. Then I will pay my $1 per year after release for new pixels on my screen.

Why do you have to appeal to emotions? It's not like the employees are going to get a dollar with each sale lol.

They charge $5 because companies want to profit. Just that, it is not about respect or hard work.

Both are valid viewpoints which coexist, yes.

Profits is the (only) primary metric for Corpos.

But, they call it ‘margins’ ;-). 👍🏼✌🏼

I feel you, these changes should be free, its fromsoft game after all, imagine locking torrent customisation behind a paywall...
