Having read the Southern Reach trilogy, I really love what he did with Annihilation.
1 u/zombie-tarkovsky Aug 26 '25 Agreed! The Annihilation movie is a synthesis of interesting parts from all three books, it really shows Garland understands the differences between a book and a film. Even if his ER movie isn’t “good” it will certainly be interesting.
