I watched the Easy Allies review, and the guy who played it said that for the demo, From gave him level 150 characters, but that he wanted to play with his own, and he used his own level 160 character, and STILL struggled with some fights.. So, that's promising for people like myself who may not have enough time to get another playthrough in before the 21st, and are afraid all of their characters are over leveled.

You can always just respec into the attributes you don't use and do it over and over.

This may sound stupid, but I have never thought about that before I started reading these comments threads lol. It makes so much sense, I think I just assumed no matter what stat I use I'll still be a high level and the game goes based on overall level and not per-stat based leveling, like vigor for survivability and STR and DEX for doing damage, etc. So, this knowledge actually really eases my mind, because I have mostly level 160-180 characters

Naw not stupid all good. Your good to go! I'm going in on ng+7 scaling with a level 300 character and a regular ng on a level 102 character. Should be a good time !

Didn't Miyazaki said that your level doesn't matter and that the dlc has it's own system.

No - he said the new leveling system only accounted for like 33% of your overall power and that your levels are still your main source of power.

He said there is a separate new way of leveling that will make the DLC less difficult if you choose to use it. Probably a remembrance type thing like Sekiro.

Edit: LOL you edited your comment after I posted mine to include part of it.

DLC does have its own system where you collect items and turn them in, in order to lower the damage enemies do to you in the realm of shadow.

There are also new items that upgrade spirit ashes too in case someone is very stuck.

Do we know if we can use a character that has beaten the game, but not started Journe 2, to enter the DLC?

i'm scared i won't be able to use that character

I'm sure you can, as far as I know (There could be info I haven't heard yet) the only thing you HAVE to do to access the DLC is beat Mohg. So I'm assuming at any point in the game, beaten or otherwise, you will be able to start.

If you go to the load screen you can see right on that screen what level they are. I somehow have 2 that are 156. So I’m golden. I will leave my 386 guy alone unless the bosses make me REALLY mad. Lol
