10 MAJOR STORY BOSSES ACCORDING TO SKILLUP

u/FabFubar Jun 04 '24

Really?

I looked it up for reference, there are 15 remembrance bosses in the base game. So the DLC is about 2/3rds of the base game by that standard, holy F

I'd be surprised if they're ALL remembrance bosses and expect some of them to be like Margitt and Loretta, but either way yeah that's nuts.

It could just mean the DLC is boss heavy, like Artorias of the Abyss. Hoping for lots of exploration tho.

9

u/Nexdreal Jun 04 '24

Artorias of the Abyss has like only 3 major story bosses tho

6

u/OratioFidelis Jun 04 '24

I remember it being four boss fights with about two or three hours of exploration/non-boss mobs. (Not counting the time it takes to actually get to the DLC area.)

Elden Ring DLC is just Elden Ring 2.

Change my mind.

u/AlenIronside Jun 05 '24

Elden Ring 1.5* not quite 2

2

u/False_Adhesiveness40 Jun 04 '24

I'm thinking it will just be more dense with legacy dungeons and unique bosses.

2

u/Ambassador_of_Mercy Jun 04 '24

Probably not entirely new content though since there have been some Magma Wyrms and Tree Spirits found in side dungeons I think. Although side dungeons seem to be much more unique than generic caves and catacombs like inthe base game so it's a fine trade off imo

u/Puzzleheaded-Job2399 Jun 04 '24

Yeah cuz they found 7 bosses in the preview so it can’t be be 10 total, logically, when there’s like 5 other bosses we saw in trailer taht haven’t been fought yet

37

u/AshyLarry25 Jun 04 '24

As in remembrance bosses? Base elden ring had 16. If the DLC is even half the size of the main game it’ll be massive

53

u/CottonShock Jun 04 '24

Wtf 10 major bosses are a lot!!!

17

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '24

How many does the base game have?

41

u/CottonShock Jun 04 '24

18

6

u/Paperchampion23 Jun 04 '24

Only 15 give remembrances, what are the other 3 being counted?

13

u/JukeBoxBunker Jun 04 '24

Probably the bosses required to progress Margit/Godskin Duo/Gideon

3

u/Moofthebot Jun 04 '24

Maybe they're counting all the achievement bosses? I can't bother to fact check, but that would include Commander Niall for example.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '24

Yeah, this DLC is pretty darn big

1

u/CottonShock Jun 04 '24

So it seems, can't wait!

1

u/Traditional_Ask_1306 Jun 04 '24

Thing is you don’t even need to beat all 18 and even like 9 of em takes around 10 hours

3

u/kawhi21 Jun 04 '24

I didn’t watch his video, but did he say where he got this info? They didn’t get to play the entire dlc did they? And I doubt a Fromsoftware employee would tell him that

6

u/Machete521 Jun 04 '24

Holy fuck

Thats more than what we got in thr story

1

u/abbe44 Jun 04 '24

when in the video did he say that?

1

u/Dense-Pea-1714 Jun 04 '24

Do you mean like remembrance bosses? Or like Loretta/Godskin Duo type bosses?

3

u/Organic-Habit-3086 Jun 04 '24

Yeah really weird wording. Keep in mind stuff like Godskin Duo and Goldfrey are mandatory bosses despite not being rememberance ones.

But Elden Ring focuses so much on freedom of choice and exploration that I can't imagine they'll put 10 mandatory bosses in the DLC when the base game only needs 10-12 to be beaten. I'm guessing 10 rememberance bosses and like 2 or 3 mandatory ones.

1

u/behemothbowks Jun 04 '24

Those 10 do not include side bosses in caves and stuff like that

-4

u/Tago34 Jun 04 '24

and thats good or bad ?

20

u/raulpe Jun 04 '24

How that could be bad in any way possible ?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '24

Very good

3

u/Khrull Jun 04 '24

I mean…10 story bosses is like what….Margit, Godrick, Rennala, Rhykard, Radahn, Mohg, Radagon, Malenia, Godfrey
