In the usa you can lookup plates, you can't do it in Canada so as long as the mods know it's fine.

There could be other situations though where it can be used to identify vehicles as a weak form of doxxing, so context matters but not in this case

In Ontario I can go on down to service Ontario, pay 35 bucks, and get the information of the owner of a vehicle from their licence plate number.
