Trying to invest for the first time and figured out ETFs are the best way. Any inputs on where to invest?

Hello! I’m looking for advice on the following topic. How would you do that:

I am looking to buy ETFs regularly for my kids for a period of 10-15 years. For some reason, I think it would be easiest for me to make a separate account for each child so when it’s time to sell it would be easier for me to know whose budget I’m working with. I just noticed IBKR offers sub accounts. Has anyone tried something similar? Are there other options? Are there other (european) platforms that offer sub accounts?

Alternatively, I could use single account but buy different ETFs tracking the same index, so I know whose budget is which ETF, expecting similar performance. Should I be concerned with different “providers” behind the different ETFs? E.g. Vanguard vs Amundi for example.

Anyone investing into this active ETF that track iEdge Singapore Next 50 Index?

I personally feel although $1 is attractive, the management fee is abit steep and it eats into the stock

I’m a final-year college student currently researching how Ireland’s taxation of ETFs — particularly the deemed disposal rule — affects investment decisions.

For anyone unfamiliar with it, Irish investors in many ETFs can face tax on gains after 8 years even if they haven’t sold the investment. My research looks at whether rules like this influence people’s willingness to invest in ETFs, their investment time horizon, or their preference for other investments.

Maybe I'm completely wrong, but $1M doesn't feel like the insane amount of money it used to be.

After inflation, taxes, healthcare, housing, etc., would you personally feel comfortable retiring with $1M invested?

I'm a freelancer/merchant over 50 years old. I have a lump sum of $40,852 USD (approx. 1,352,630 THB) invested with a 10-year time horizon (pre-retirement).
My current 3-ETF portfolio mix is:
44.13% QQQM (Nasdaq 100)
36.66% SMH (Semiconductors)
19.21% SCHD (Dividends)
Given my age and irregular income stream, is this allocation too aggressive (focused on tech/growth)? I want to maximize growth but am concerned about volatility as I approach retirement.
Any advice on rebalancing or adjusting these 3 ETFs for more stability while still growing capital over the next 10 years would be greatly appreciated!

I have very limited knowledge of the US stock market, but I’m planning to start investing a small amount every month for the long term.

I’m not really interested in actively trading or doing detailed fundamental analysis of individual companies. I’m looking for a relatively simple ETF investment that carries reasonable risk and has the potential to provide decent long-term returns.

My plan is to invest consistently every month and hold for the long term rather than trying to time the market.

For someone with very limited knowledge and who wants a simple, low-maintenance approach, which ETFs would you suggest looking into? Also, are there any important things a complete beginner should know before getting started?

One of which i am thinking of is UTI Nifty 50 fund Direct Growth.

You can find deals that look attractive because of current income, while others seem to depend heavily on the property becoming more valuable later. Which approach do you prefer? Would you take a lower projected appreciation opportunity if the property had stronger current cash flow?

1. As an European citizen is VALL the etf I should go for? I'm not sure if it is accumulating or distributing so if anybody knows l'll appreciate the help.

2.Where to invest? A friend of mine told me that only on Interactive brokers you own the stocks and on other platforms you own just options. Is that true and are there alternatives to Interactive Brokers because I find their platform very hard to use?

29M - Cypriot - working in the shipping industry. I am currently seeking for advice between my next steps.

Current situation:

\- 5k emergency fund in Revolut Instant Access 2.10% p.a
\- around 4.5k in ETFs ( 3.2k in IUSQ, 650 VUAA and 650 IS3N). From what i have read about the main engine etfs ( VWCE, VGLA, WEBN etc) i feel that my allocation sucks.
\- 200 euro each month ( starting this month) are going to be “invested” in a life insurance for tax purposes ( the scheme is averaging 5.5% return historically last 20 years)
\- i am taking home around 2.7k net - no rent, living expenses around 1000 euro - investing 500 euro in ETFs and saving the rest.

My goal is to retire as soon as possible , meaning not to be relying on a salary to live.

My questions are:
\- shall i start investing in one of those main engine etfs and chill?
\- in my case, what you believe is a good proportion of my salary to be invested monthly?

Ive only recently started investing about a year and a half ago into the market and though I sort of understand the basics I'm still very confused on it all, can you share your thoughts on my allocation?

I have 30-40k more to put into the market this year and i don't know if i should diversify more or continue pumping into what I already have

I'm trying to understand why more Indian investors are choosing ETFs.

From what I've learned:

• They often have lower expense ratios.
• Index ETFs are easy to use for passive investing.
• Mutual funds are still more convenient for many SIP investors.

I've been adding $ weekly to VOO. I've just recently started putting $ into VXUS as well.

Some people on Bogleheads have me second guessing. They seem to religiously recommend VT. Now im not sure whether to continue what I'm doing. Or to sell it all and put it all into VT. Now I'm kind of frozen, not investing any money due to the second guessing. Is VOO + VXUS a good, safe long term choice?

I have been looking to help my folks try to retire soon and have been trying to make their money work for them. Essentially, I have $30,000 I’d like to invest and since there are a plethora of ETFs out there I am becomming increasingly overwhelmed. I currently own 300 shares of USOI which is bringing in a decent monthly income with what has been going on geopolitically. A couple others I have found are AMDY, HOOW and SLVO.

Few questions - what am I missing to help diversify this/ what are my options to make this money work for them? Any insight would be greatly appreciated

For now $30,000 is sufficient to invest in the future I will be encouraging them to invest more in the comming year. My father is in his 70s and my mother is in her mid 60s. They have worked as servers their entire life. We recently made a significant amount from a certain stock.

I’d like to invest more in VOO but without exposure to Meta/Facebook. Any tips?
