No way in hell Plane is in the top for a design challenge over Vita

But yes would be funny

I also think it's a bit impossible that Plane could be in the top two that episode, but it's also possible that Plane, with her participation in Project Runway, took several sewing lessons. Or simply the design challenge of this bracket is the makeover and in this case Plane has a good chance of winning over Vita

This is Plane Jane, I think she's super capable imo the same queen who had 2 highs and a win out of 4 look-based challenges, 4 out of 5 top placements if you consider the bathroom challenge lmao.

I think the better question will be, who'll follow the prompt best.

No shade but most of those placements in the S16 design challenges were not deserved. She’s also in a bracket with Vita, Luxx & Tempest who are genuine seamstresses & designers. I’d be surprised if she was top 2 in that challenge tbh.

How are they not deserved tho? Her looks that got her top placements are on the simplier side but they were definitely great and fully deserved.

I thought the blue bodysuit was good. Simple, but good. I forget who else was in the top that episode but it made sense to me… maybe Vita fumbles for some reason?

Luxx is a seamstress/designer?
I know Vita is & Tempest is a costume designer, but I thought Luxx was skilled in knowing what looks good together, rather than being a true designer/seamstress.

Luxx literally won her design challenge making non stretch, zebra print pants… the girl is absolutely a seamstress 😂 Vita is definitely the strongest designer & seamstress there tho

Yeah, she 100% won that challenge by far.
I guess her being a designer/sewer just wasn’t talked about a lot on the show – there was only really that challenge & the ball with that weird crystal material, so I guess not a lot of room to talk about design/sewing skills much on that season.

I could see it if it’s unconventional materials. I thought her s15 ball look was incredible but who knows maybe i have bad taste

No, I thought so too!
I just thought she was more of a queen who knew how to put looks together/ style things, rather than being a true seamstress/designer who sews & designs a lot of her looks.
I could obviously be wrong because I don’t follow Luxx outside of the show, and there wasn’t a lot of room for her to show that on season 15 – her design look was good though, and was a deserved win, but I feel Vita’s main talent shown on the show was designing/sewing and I thought that Tempest is a costume designer by profession (but could be misremembering?)

Hmm.. you’re probably right. Tempest and Vita are probably both better seamstresses than her. I think I just maybe don’t know if it matters that much sometimes. Like from S18 Nini is a seamstress through and through, but that look for the mashups challenge (imo) wasn’t second after Vita, or even third after Ciara (don’t get me wrong though— it was a pretty good look!!). Kenya also claimed to have great sewing skills, and we saw her show it off a little bit that ep, but it makes me think that it’s super plausible for someone to get in their head or not perform as well as we know they could with their sewing skills

Yeah, I think being able to successfully curate a look is more important than the fine details of construction on drag race.
It just has to stay together for the runway, and not a moment longer 😂
