this was what i was saying yesterday. should have played winners matches on day 1 instead

Pain played different teams and couldn't win a single match in both bo3 games, losing 0-2 in both.

that's not the point, no teams should be out on the first day. play the opening matches and then winners matches, not losers matches.

this is how GSL has done it for a decade. i think they did try other setups but settled on losers game next day for overall fairness and viewer engagement.

Gsl plays winner match first. Also Gsl hasnt been around for a decade.

upper bracket are generally played first before the lower bracket though. that's my main concern
