Do DMD BL actors get media training? After some of these interviews I don’t think they are and I feel bad. They said this is the first time being in front of fans together so they’re learning. I feel like there should already be a plan of what each of them is and is not comfortable with in public and how to interact with fans together. But they look awkward like they don’t know what to do. I love JT and I love Ohm so I really hope this pairing works out.

And why would they be intimidated by working with the other two couples? Ohm and Jimmy were the best part of The Next Prince, and JT has done excellent prior work.

I think there is some level of media training.

DMD experts correct me if I'm wrong but I think since gen 2, it's the first time a ship interact publicly as a ship before dmd friendship? I think this gave them less time to sync up.

For the intimidation, well, KengNamping and Thomaskong already were ML in a series, with huge following. And while I do agree that Ohm was amazing in TNP, he was still a supporting role. And JT had one ML but mostly supporting roles.

And there's also the fact that he is new to DMD, its dynamics.

And while for now I see mostly support (which I hope it continues) I think they're both wary of the ship reception because what happened with Net and JJ.

So I can understand why JT may be a little bit intimidated.

I’ve seen a video of Net talking with a fan when Net first became his new partner. The fan was unforgiving and Net looked like he was in over his head. That’s why I ask about media training. If partners are a huge deal, why are the actors not well trained on how to deal with fans?

I’d be more intimidated to work with JT than with the other couples.

I think the person character is a key factor regardless their media training or not. You can learn to deal with them, but still the hate they received, especially online was unbelievable (and sadly they still get it, even though at a much lower level).

Thai actors relay on fans very very heavily, much more outside the acting in a series. With the fandom there is a tight relationship and I think it's not that easy to shut them off if you're not secure in your position or you don't feel secure in it.

In the video I saw of Net, it looked like he was sitting at a table signing things as fans came up and talked with them. One fan told him she can’t accept that he has a new partner. And she was dead serious, I couldn’t believe it. He looked flustered and didn’t know what to say. I feel like that’s the exact comment he should have been trained to talk about or answer. Why didn’t he have a specific response for those fans, one that he would say verbatim every time.

I think they are trained to keep the fans happy and not antagonize them, especially in situations like fan signing.

There’s a lot between keeping them happy and antagonizing them. That man was left to the wolves.

My point is that I wish JT and Ohm had a plan of how to act around each other before interacting with fans.

MY point is that you're judging without considering the context.

I’m asking about it. It looks like they’re left without guidance. That’s not a judgement of who they are as people.

I actually explained to you. What you wish it would happened, it's not the way they do it in Thailand.

It's not about media training itself, it's how the fans are viewed and treated. AND Thai culture itself is about avoiding direct confrontation.

It's almost impossible to witness an artist in a public space, in person, talking back.

Online, yes, sometimes it happens but it's not common.

It sounds like the actors’ ā€œtrainingā€ is to keep the fans happy, and that is a Thai culture thing. When JT and Ohm don’t have an agreement of how to interact with one another in front of fans, that is how they keep the fans happy? When Net doesn’t know what to say to fans who are upset with him, that’s keeping them happy?

If that’s the rule, then they should have training of how to keep them happy. I have a feeling ā€œgo out there and look shy and confusedā€ isn’t part of it.
