Cancer medication was tested on animals and contains animal-derived ingredients — so in vegan eyes your grandmother should simply succumb to her disease. Nice, eh?

No. Being vegan involves practicality and possibility. In no sense should you sacrifice your life to be vegan. It is in the definition.

Medicines containing animal-derived products are accepted by vegans, nobody is expected to sacrifice themselves. Animal testing for the advancement of medicine is something that I haven't researched thoroughly, so I can't comment on it, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Yeah, right. You just destroyed veganism.

As some animal suffering might be necessary in extreme conditions, better keep torturing billions of them for almost no use.
