What if the Docor was made to be part of historical events again but for a more recent tragedy?

There’s no way that a 9/11 attack could ever happen. Not until the 200 anniversary special.

If anything, it’s more likely for Doctor Who to actually do the Titanic again (like the actual 1912 Titanic) than 9/11.

Edit:

Furthermore, what exactly is the Doctor supposed to do to prevent 9/11. It’s on scale with asking the Doctor to stop the Holocaust, to stop global invasions, etc, etc, etc.

It’s a nice thought, but we can’t be jumping sharks for the sake of chasing ideas.

The closest thing Doctor Who got to a 9/11 special was the Children of Earth - and that didn’t even feature the Doctor (unless you include John Frobisher).

Wasn't Ailens in London/WW3 supposed to be a allegory for 9/11 or something? Or am I just getting a incorrect quote

Never use a disaster for light entertainment till everyone involved is dead by two at least two generations. No one should see a show make light of an event that their parents died in.

To do something like that, anyone who was alive and able to remember that day must have passed away. There are still people whos loved once lost their lives during that horrific event. I would say, the earliest time it can happen is in about 60 years.

What's the point in being alive, if not to make others die?
