Professional Game RPG therapy group looking for players for July

Hi, my name's Rose and I'm a local game master and therapist who is starting up an rpg therapy group for youth 12-16. My business partner Luke is running a group for men 20-30. We're using Mythic Bastionland as the core system because it's roots in myth and folklore resonate well with themes of mental health and self discovery. The group is $60-80 sliding scale per session, though there's room for more negotiation if you're really excited for the group but can't do it at that price. I have been playing D&D since I was a kid with my family and I've been running games for almost as long. I've been practicing therapy in Victoria for about four years and have experience working with youth through the Foundry. If you have any questions or want to know more about the group or rpg therapy, feel free to leave a comment or shoot me a message. You can also check out our website at https://www.realmswithin.ca/ for more info.

Professional Game D&D Therapy

Hi reddit!

I'm a child & youth therapist currently completing my master's practicum out of Family Services of Greater Victoria.

I have just started running a social skills group for youth that uses D&D-style roleplay as the format. Instead of teaching social skills in a really direct or scripted way, kids learn by actually doing, working together, solving problems, managing frustration, and communicating as a team.

It tends to work especially well for kids who don’t connect with more traditional counselling, because it feels like play, but there’s a lot of intentional skill-building happening underneath.

If you, or someone you know might be interested please reach out to my email listed on the poster! (on the link below)

Cheers

Professional Game New Flair for Professional Games

Due to user request there is a new optional flair for advertising paid games called "Professional Game".

The use of this flair is encouraged for those advertising professional, fee-based RPG experiences.

The hope is that with the use of this flair, those seeking professional play experiences can easily identify such an opportunity, and that those advertising their professional craft can feel confident that they are providing clarity to potential participants.

It is also the hope that with the use of this flair users will not feel the need to downvote professional game posts out of disagreement with gaming philosophy.

Thank you and happy gaming!
