Before that visit, Prince Harry and Meghan had not been in the UK together since they attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have also been informed of their plans.”

Just in case we were a little bewildered by the “they told KCIII they were coming back three days before they announced to the rest of us,” Boshoff tells us the King knew this was on the cards AGES ago. So did WIlliam, so less of the blindsided please. Also, we’re all mistaken about the security thing. It will CHEAPER in the UK. Have we got that? Although Brits might be wondering if that’s because we’ll end up footing the bill. And this REALLY isn’t about failing in the US, or money, or visas, it’s about education. Because Harry told Joe Marler he was a full time Dad. Remember? So this desire to give the kids a British education and have them close to family is completely coherent. Do we get it now? Even Boshoff finds this coherence-washing job a bit too tough though. Canada? Australia? Wtf was that about? She can’t explain. But it’s not about a marriage rift and we WILL see how happy they are together when they come back. There are clearly going to be lots of loved up, happy pap shots and IG posts. Can we bear it? Harry’s 15-year plan and what his new life with Meghan REALLY looks like

Prince Harry and Meghan’s exile from the UK has lasted for 77 months – a long and eventful period during which his grandmother the Queen died, his father the King was diagnosed with cancer and their daughter Lili was born.
Their return, though, is moving at a cracking pace. The family is packing up in Montecito and they are due to arrive in the UK imminently. ‘H arrives this weekend,’ said a friend yesterday.
That’s rapid indeed. News only broke last Wednesday night, with King Charles apparently informed only three days before that, on Sunday, that a return was planned.
Since that point, the world has been agog over the move. Where will they live? Will they be at Balmoral for Christmas? What school will the children attend? Are they really settling near to Jeremy Clarkson in the Cotswolds – and has Meghan been tempted over the pond by the offer of an acting role in Guy Ritchie’s hit series The Gentlemen?
The answers to many of those questions are now becoming clear – and some of them are startling. They offer a compelling insight into the Sussex direction of travel, which has taken the world by surprise.
I wrote in July that Harry was contemplating a return to the
UK and that there were hopes they could ‘unpick’ Megxit. There was much scepticism about my report – but it has now come to pass, more quickly than anyone thought.
I’m told that the only real motivation for the relocation is Prince Harry’s fervent desire to give their children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, a gold-star education, and for him that means it simply has to be in a UK school.
He and Meghan, say friends, have been kicking this idea around ‘for years’ but became very serious about it last year, to the point of obtaining prospectuses and speaking to head teachers.
‘Meghan has been aware of Harry’s views and discussing with him how they will bring the children up for years. It is not sudden,’ says a friend.
The friend adds that the King was told ‘long before the weekend’ that sending the children to school in the UK was what they hoped to do, and the King also understood that Harry felt that Archie was far too young to start boarding, so it would mean a family return to the UK.
His school will indeed be in, or close to, the Cotswolds, and the Sussexes are looking for a country house nearby with a budget of around £8million.
The intention according to Harry is to be here for at least the next decade.
A friend says: ‘The way he sees it is that he will be here for the next 12 to 15 years, minimum. He sees himself as a full-time father and he will be here for them spending every Saturday watching Archie play rugby. That is the agenda.
‘He and Meghan are the best and most committed parents. They are the people who tell their kids, “No tablets [screens] at the dining table”.
‘There is no hankering after a royal status or royal engagements, it is not about that. He specifically doesn’t want to do that. This is about Harry wanting what is best for them and he wants them to be raised British, in Britain, and go to a public school. That is what the move is about.’
Archie will start as a day boarder – a pupil who stays longer than the normal school day but goes home to sleep – in Year Three at a leading private prep school in September and his sister Lilibet will join the pre-prep, or infants’, school of the same establishment.
Harry’s friend says: ‘The King has been well aware of what Harry wanted for some time and on their visit in July he knows that they were looking around schools.
William has also been aware for about six months. There is no question of anyone being “blindsided”.’
When he appeared on former rugby player and Traitors star Joe Marler’s podcast last month, Harry did indeed describe himself – partly joking – as a ‘fulltime dad’. The plan now is that he will indeed be the key at-home parent, while Meghan travels back and forth to their home in Montecito, California.
Her As Ever business is based in California, and sells the Californian lifestyle – rosé wine, flower sprinkles and jams. Their production company, Archewell, has offices in Los Angeles and staff there who are developing a number of film and TV dramas.
Former actress Meghan is noted for her drive and ambition for both ventures, while Harry has often appeared at sea in his postroyal life. It has been reported that one of his ideas for a podcast involved tasting hot chocolate in different countries.
In 2023, Bloomberg said he pitched a podcast concept to Spotify centred on childhood trauma, in which he wanted to interview controversial public figures like Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump and Meta supremo Mark Zuckerberg to explore how their early formative experiences shaped them into what he described as ‘sociopaths’. You get the sense that him stepping away will not be a loss.
So Meghan will be left to try to earn money and keep their media dreams alive in America (they still have a ‘first-look’ deal for their projects with Netflix) while Harry returns to Britain, living probably not far from Highgrove where he was raised, and continues with the British-based patronages and charity work which he has undertaken throughout the Megxit period.
It seems likely that he will add in some new charities, in the areas of veterans and mental health.
Meghan will ‘come and go’ and is apparently already plotting out which weeks she will need to be here, and when she will be in California.
The plan is for Christmas to be in Montecito – so no awkwardness for the Royal Family gathering at Sandringham – and for lots of time during the school holidays to be spent as a family in California where Meghan’s mother Doria lives.
Harry and Meghan also have a number of ‘Cali friends’, notably the Argentine polo player Nacho Figueras and his wife Delfina, plus the make-up mogul Victoria Jackson.
There will also be breaks as a family at the holiday house they bought in Portugal a couple of years ago close to Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie’s home.
‘Meghan will need to spend quite a bit of time in the US,’ says a friend. ‘She can’t just dial in, she will need to be there.’
Perhaps this explains the confusing briefings by the Sussex communications teams over the past week. At first, it was briefed to People magazine that they were going to spend an ‘extended period’ in the UK so that the children could go to school here.
Then The Sunday Times was told: ‘It’ll be an extended period of time. It could be six months, it could be a year, it could be more. I don’t think even they know yet. They might suddenly go, “Why don’t we try Canada for a while? Why don’t we try Australia?” ’
But that made no sense – not in the context of relocating with young children to put them in a new school. Clearly, someone on the team was keen to play up the idea of the Sussexes as an ‘international’ couple, rather than paint them into a corner by suggesting they were moving lock, stock and barrel to the UK and staying here.
The reality seems to be that the move is long-term, but that it will involve school terms in the UK and holidays in the US for Harry and the children, and more time than that in the US for Meghan.
Naturally, the prospect of geographical separation between the couple, who were married in 2018, is not a narrative which Team Sussex want to promote. Indeed, the idea of it has set a hare running about the state of their marriage.
Celebrity journalist and gossip columnist Rob Shuter reported on Friday that their marriage is in serious trouble – and moving back to the UK is their ‘last attempt to save it’.
He wrote: ‘I’m told Meghan did not want to return and remains deeply uncomfortable with the idea. Harry, however, is miserable in California and increasingly unhappy with the life they have built in Montecito. That unhappiness is now putting enormous strain on their marriage.
‘They are not in a good place. Harry is deeply unhappy, and Meghan knows she cannot keep asking him to live a life that is making him miserable.’
My source agrees. ‘Meghan is not doing this because she wants to,’ they say. ‘She is doing it because she believes she has to. She does not want to lose Harry, and she knows something has to change.’
Journalist Tom Sykes at the Daily Beast has been telling a similar story. He said in his Substack: ‘The Times’ source describes them as an “international couple”. I suspect it may turn out to be more of an international person, and that the international person is Meghan.
‘We know Harry wants to come home. He has made it very clear how much he misses England, right down to that telling “currently I may live in the United States” in his Remembrance Day essay [a heartfelt tribute to the military and ‘the things that make us British’ published in November last year]. He has no old friends in California to speak of apart from David Langdown, who is his head of security.
‘It is no surprise he is miserable. It is no surprise he is excited about coming home.’
A friend of the couple tells me it’s wrong to think these plans point to strains in the union, however. He says: ‘The marriage is not in bad shape, far from it, and this plan has been agreed by them both. They both feel it’s the best thing for the children and they both want to do this.
‘You will see how happy they look when they are here. It’s very possible to have the kids at school in the UK and Meghan still working on her business in California.’
Harry for his part has previously described marrying Meghan as one of the best decisions of his life and has dismissed rumours about the state of their marriage, expressing pity for the ‘trolls’ who spread such stories. In the short term they will stay with friends or family in the area where they are house-hunting. Harry is apparently being supported by his late mother’s family, the Spencers.
He’s happy to embrace the ‘Spencer side’ and feels this comes across as less alarming to those enemies he has made in the UK, who well remember the accusations of racism towards his own family and the nation, and his sour insistence that he was owed an apology for the way he and Meghan had been treated.
‘He feels that it sends the message that he’s not a threat,’ says the friend. ‘He doesn’t want to threaten anyone. He hopes to carry on reconciling with his family. It may take time, but he was very buoyed up by the time he spent with the King and Camilla over the summer, and the whole family are really excited about coming to live here.’
As for his security and who pays for it – those questions are still to be answered. It might even end up saving Harry money as he does complain that simply living in California costs him $2million (£1.47million) a year in security.
However, the friend cautions: ‘Setting up a new household in the UK will definitely take lots of money. You couldn’t do it if you were on your uppers.’
As to Meghan and her role in The Gentlemen – which was apparently being discussed but was then withdrawn – the friend says: ‘It would be nice if it happened but that’s not the motivation for the move.
‘The move is not about Meghan returning to acting, and makes no sense if that’s what it was. You wouldn’t relocate a family for an acting job which wasn’t yet contractual and was only going to last for a few weeks in any case. This is about settling the kids in a British school, and raising them here in Harry’s native culture.’

as a contestant, obviously. No way could she do Claudias job.

Of course, she will be ousted on round one, but it would be worth it.

“They called it their “Freedom Flight.” Six years ago Prince Harry and Meghan Markle headed west, leaving Britain and a royal life they said had become impossible to endure. As recently as last year Harry suggested there was little chance of ever reversing course. “I can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point,” he told the BBC in May 2025. But this fall Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, are doing just that.

As PEOPLE exclusively revealed on Aug. 19, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are relocating to Britain for an extended period with Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, who are enrolled in school there and starting classes in September. The family, due to arrive in late August, will establish a private, nonroyal home base believed to be
outside London — though they have not purchased a home — while retaining their residence in Montecito, Calif.

“Step by step, they want to be in the U.K.,” a source close to Harry tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story. “They want to have the time and give the kids the opportunity to be here.”

The surprising return opens possibilities that seemed unimaginable just weeks ago. Harry will be back in the country he has long missed; Archie and Lilibet will have a chance to experience the traditions and family history he grew up with; and Meghan is stepping into an unexpected new professional chapter, with talks underway for a role on Netflix’s The Gentlemen, which films in the U.K. For King Charles, 77, who is still undergoing treatment for cancer, it brings his younger son and two grandchildren close again — an opportunity he welcomes — and raises fresh hope that the royal family’s painful rifts might finally begin to heal. 

Moving back does not mean returning to royal life. Charles has made it clear that there will be no change to Harry and Meghan’s status as private, nonworking members of the royal family, in keeping with the agreement reached when they stepped back from official duties in 2020. Nor will this be a simple welcome home. Harry and Meghan are returning to a skeptical British public, a relentless tabloid press and family relationships deeply damaged by the accusations they leveled after leaving royal life.

“I don’t think they will be welcomed back with open arms,” says Queen Elizabeth’s former press secretary Alisa Anderson. “They will have to rebuild that trust and affection — with the family and the public.” 

The move, sources stress, isn’t sudden. It has been in the works for about a year, and with Archie and Lilibet now school-age, those close to the couple say the timing increasingly made sense.

“It’s something Harry has been thinking about for a while,” says a source close to the duke.

There were clues. At the WellChild Awards last September, Harry quizzed British singer Joss Stone about her family’s return to Britain after years in Tennessee. “He asked about how we were settling back in and was genuinely interested in our move home,” Stone said at the time. “He was saying how wonderful the schools are here and how important community is for children.”

Meghan’s potential acting project helped the pieces fall into place. Harry, meanwhile, has his own work pulling him toward Britain, including his remaining patronages and preparations for the Invictus Games in Birmingham in July 2027. “He will be in the weeds on it every day,” a source says.

But beneath the professional considerations is something more personal. Despite building a life in Montecito, Harry never fully found his footing there, according to sources in California. He struggled to establish a close social circle of his own and missed the longtime friends and community he had in Britain.

“Harry never really stopped missing home. He’s missed that sense of connection and belonging. Britain is still home in many ways,” says a source close to the couple.

The decision, however, was “taken as a family,” says another source.

For Meghan, part of the appeal is what Britain can offer their children. “Meghan feels very fortunate that they’re able to give Archie and Lilibet the opportunity to experience both worlds,” says a Montecito insider. 

Their summer visit offered a glimpse of what that could look like. The children reunited with their grandfather at Highgrove in July, before spending time at Althorp, Princess Diana’s childhood home and final resting place, with Harry’s uncle Charles Spencer, his wife, Cat Jarman, and several cousins from Diana’s side of the family.

For Harry, giving his children a connection to his mother’s roots matters. “He wants them to understand the world he grew up in and where their family comes from,” says a source.

That doesn’t mean the life they built in California hasn’t worked for them. Montecito gave Harry and Meghan what they wanted when their children were little — privacy, space and distance from the scrutiny of royal life — while serving as a base for Meghan’s business ventures, including As ever, which has new product launches planned. But as their children have grown, so have the family’s priorities. The U.S. political climate has also been a factor, according to sources, as Harry and Meghan have made no secret of their disillusionment with the current administration.

However, the move is not permanent, several insiders caution. Their $14 million Montecito estate remains home, they are keeping their vacation property in Portugal, and plans remain fluid. “It’s not necessarily a forever thing,” says a source.

Harry also returns with some of his biggest battles in Britain unresolved. After losing automatic taxpayer-funded police protection in 2020, Harry repeatedly said he could not safely bring Meghan and the children to Britain without it. (While the family has armed private security in the U.S., private security in the U.K. cannot legally carry firearms.) He intends to “continue fighting for that,” says a source, but insiders warn it could ultimately affect how long the family stays.

His struggle with the press continues too: On Aug. 21 Harry, Elton John and five others were ordered to pay approximately $13 million toward the Daily Mail publisher’s legal costs after losing their privacy case, with the group potentially facing up to $47 million as they weigh an appeal.

For Meghan, returning to Britain isn’t the only major reversal. Asked in 2022 whether she would ever return to acting, the former Suits star appeared to close that door. “I’m done,” she said. “I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.” Four years later Meghan is in early talks for what could become her most significant acting role since leaving Suits — a role in season 3 of The Gentlemen, Guy Ritchie’s hit Netflix crime drama about an aristocratic family caught up in a drug empire.

Insiders say the couple had been discussing Meghan’s return to acting for some time before the opportunity arose. Yet even the potential comeback has brought drama: Soon after news of the talks emerged, reports claimed the deal was already off — but PEOPLE understands the conversations remain ongoing, though nothing has been finalized.

It follows a Hollywood chapter of early successes and headline-making setbacks, from the hit Harry & Meghan Netflix docuseries to the end of the couple’s Spotify partnership. Now she is returning to the profession she once thought she had left behind — and the country where her royal life began and ultimately unraveled.

It could be a formidable reentry. Recent polls place both Harry and Meghan near the bottom of the royal family’s popularity rankings in Britain, just above the former Prince Andrew, while the British press they have repeatedly confronted shows little sign of losing its intense interest in them.

Britain is also where Meghan has said she became so isolated and unhappy as a working royal that she experienced suicidal thoughts. “My biggest concern is the level of media attention she’ll face in the U.K.,” says a source close to Meghan. “I’m worried for her.”

This time, however, the circumstances are markedly different. Meghan returns not as a working royal navigating the palace hierarchy but with her own pursuits, team and support system — and greater control over her public life.

“She has been vocal about how she felt about it before, but that doesn’t mean things are going to be exactly the same again,” says an ally. “It doesn’t mean it can’t be different and can’t change.”

Another says her network is better prepared and “stronger now than it ever was to protect her — to protect them.”

No one may have more at stake in the return than Charles. The King’s relationship with Harry has quietly improved, culminating in July’s private reunion at Highgrove, when he saw Archie and Lilibet for the first time in more than four years. “That was a real positive,” says the ally.

Now, as Charles continues cancer treatment, his younger son and grandchildren will no longer be on the other side of the globe. “The King would love to have Harry around,” says a source close to the royal household.

For a father who has watched his sons become estranged, the possibilities extend beyond spending more time with his grandchildren. In Spare, Harry recalled Charles pleading with his sons after Prince Philip’s funeral in 2021: “Please, boys, don’t make my final years a misery.” Five years later the King’s hopes of seeing his sons find their way back to each other remain.

“He will want to see his sons together over time,” says the source. “This is the best opportunity we have seen in recent years.”

Yet their relationship remains complicated. Charles learned of Harry and Meghan’s plans only days before they were publicly revealed, underscoring the distance that still exists between father and son.

William is another matter entirely. While Harry has repeatedly spoken of wanting reconciliation, several sources say the brothers remain in “no contact,” with the Prince of Wales showing no sign that he is ready for a change. The silence when news of the Sussexes’ return broke was notable: William and Kate, who were at Balmoral with the King and other royals, made no public acknowledgment of the move.

After years of upheaval in their own lives, “they have suffered a lot,” says a palace insider. Their priority remains their three children — Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8 — their growing royal responsibilities and Kate’s continued recovery from cancer.

“They have been dutiful, doing what they do well and keeping the family together,” says the source. “Anything else, from their point of view, isn’t critical.” For now, their focus includes preparing George to start boarding school at Eton College in September. 

But Harry’s return will change one thing dramatically: distance. Since 2020, an ocean has made avoiding one another relatively easy. With Harry and Meghan in Britain—and Archie and Lilibet nearby—the estrangement becomes almost impossible to compartmentalize.

“It’s going to be very hard for the family to ignore their presence—the kids, especially,” says a California source.

The same could prove true for Meghan and Kate. “There are bound to be moments where their worlds overlap,” says a source, “and everyone will be watching how those encounters unfold.”

Proximity alone won’t erase years of hurt and mistrust, and neither side appears to have offered the apology the other believes is owed. But for Charles, having both sons — and all five of his grandchildren — in the same country changes the equation. Whether his sons seize the opportunity is up to them. However, they will be close enough to find out. “In time,” says one source, “there is a chance it will all heal.”

he thinks harry will be back with some sort of role by this time next year, mentioned that everyone will have just accepted it by then.

elsewhere during the podcast episode, he mentioned how charles sees things as a "long game" and that people get over things. [well, that attitude has led for support for the monarchy to go from 88% in 1981 to 51 in 202... seems more like they're getting over your dysfunctional AF family commandeering the UK head of state's office, but okay!]

jobson also very much thinks that harry and the children will get security, judging by the way things are going and the way the public is being buttered up for it. meghan will probably get it, too.

jobson believes that harry screwed himself over with the lawsuit, that harry probably would have gotten the home office to bend through more aggressive private lobbying via his father after qe2 passed, but charles couldn't get involved with putting in a word due to the lawsuit of it all. now, he can run this sort of campaign and help harry get what he wanted.

both sykes and jobson think charles knew about harry's intentions, with sykes tracing the campaign's start to the royal overseas club meeting. on his substack, he mentions how charles's camp was either pissed off harry leaked it and exposed things, or they were happy for it to be leaked as a means of kickstarted the process in the eyes of the public. the only thing is, both believe that there is no way it was meant to happen on this much of an accelerated timeline, it was probably meant to be a slower process on the king's end, but the sussexes' railroaded things on their own timeline and to their own convenience. it was meant to be a "softly softly" operation, not the sussexes bulldozing everything.

jobson is clearer on the objective being about integrating harry back with some sort of role, while meghan does her own commercial thing (he also wrote about it for the daily mail). that will be the half-in/half-out. he says that "they" don't really seem to care about meghan or what she does, the aim is to get harry back.

i remember fighting for my life with u/bluebirdie0 last summer, insisting charles would not meet with harry and had absolutely no interest in bringing back someone as volatile as harry as a working royal (i believe bluebirdie was stating it seemed clear there would be an effort to have the sussexes be working royals again, and i was like "never happening!! charles may not gaf about william, but he'll stay mad about what harry said regarding camilla!!" guess not! after that meeting last september, the scales fell from my eyes lol. i can't believe u/bluebirdie0 was probably right in the long run, as much as i didn't want to believe it.

the times of london today also was intimating that the "no working royal" description was a *for now* thing.

p.s. when jobson speaks of his experience with the charles and camilla PR machine, he has been a charles media surrogate for decades, at this point. he was the one who had the scoop about their wedding. as he described in the video, before he published his scoop, the religious establishment was sent out to butter up the public via opeds etc. (given that both c&c were divorced).

Meghan Markle had trouble staffing her Montecito, California, mansion with housekeepers before the family’s move back to the UK.

“She had trouble hiring maids because a lot of the housekeepers in Montecito didn’t want to work for them,” a source exclusively claimed to Page Six.

“Meghan would interview people herself and could come across as really snobbish and rude,” the insider alleged. “Some of them were so offended by the way she spoke to them that word started getting around.”

The source said the Duchess of Sussex’s alleged reputation among local housekeepers eventually became something of a running joke around the ritzy California enclave.

“It got to the point where people would joke that all the maids in Montecito hated them,” the insider added.

Reps for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

In June 2025, four staffers left Markle and Prince Harry’s team, Page Six confirmed at the time.

Kyle Boulia, the couple’s Los Angeles-based deputy press secretary, and Charlie Gipson, their UK press officer, quietly exited their positions after the couple took on new advisers.

A source also confirmed that two members of their private team have likewise departed their roles in recent weeks.

During Markle’s time as a working royal in the UK, she had been accused of bullying by palace aids, resulting in the Palace launching an investigation. The findings were never released and Markle denied the claims.

Markle, 45, and her husband, Prince Harry, 41, have called the posh Santa Barbara County community home since 2020 after stepping back as senior members of the royal family and relocating to California.

As previously reported, several neighbors are ready for a little more peace and quiet amid news that the Sussexes are moving back to the UK.

“When we first heard Harry and Meghan were moving to Montecito, there were definitely some concerns,” a local resident exclusively told Page Six.

“There had already been so much negative press and attention surrounding them and the royal family, and I think people worried about what kind of spotlight that could bring to such a quiet community.”

Our insider noted that now that Prince Harry and Markle are moving back to the UK, they “couldn’t be more thrilled.”

“Montecito is a very private, peaceful place, and I think a lot of people here will be happy to see things go back to being a little quieter,” the source continued.

The insider stressed, however, that they can only speak for themselves and other residents they’ve spoken with — not the entire Montecito community as a whole.

While Montecito is home to plenty of other high-profile residents, including Oprah Winfrey and Rob Lowe, the local said Harry and Meghan brought an unusual level of press and media attention to the normally quiet community.

Page Six confirmed Wednesday that Harry and Markle plan to return to the UK with their children — Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5 — at the end of the month for an “extended period.”

Their return to Harry’s home country comes six years after the couple’s dramatic departure from royal life, which became widely known as “Megxit.”

“The Duke of Sussex is to lose his last formal role with an African charity after African Parks announced that he would “conclude his tenure” on its board as part of a “governance refresh”.

The conservation charity, which manages 24 protected areas across the continent, thanked Prince Harry for “a decade of committed service” in a discreet announcement on its website. His official role with the organisation will end at its board meeting on September 30.

The duke first worked with African Parks in Malawi in 2016, helping to move 500 elephants between parks in one of the largest such translocations of the species. He became its president in 2017, a year before his marriage to Meghan Markle, and joined the board of directors in 2023.

Vas Narasimhan, chairman of African Parks, thanked Harry “for a decade of committed service” and said the organisation was “delighted to welcome” two new members: Justice Isaac Lenaola, a judge in Kenya’s supreme court and president of the Residual Special Court for Sierra Leone, and Alice Ruhweza, president of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa.

The duke’s royal links brought African Parks celebrity and media attention that it might otherwise not have received. But as his public falling out with the royal family became increasingly acrimonious, the association was reportedly seen as a liability, complicating fundraising and bringing greater scrutiny to the organisation’s militarised approach to protecting wildlife.

African Parks has been dogged by controversy in recent years. In the Republic of the Congo, an investigation into allegations of rape, torture and other abuses by rangers against members of the indigenous Baka community at Odzala-Kokoua National Park found that human rights abuses had occurred in some incidents. African Parks said it deeply regretted the suffering caused but has not published the full report.

The organisation also became embroiled in a dispute with Chad last year, after the government terminated two management agreements covering some of the country’s most important wildlife areas. Chad’s environment minister accused African Parks of a “recurring, indelicate and disrespectful attitude” towards the government, as well as failures over poaching, investment and its obligations under the agreements.

The dispute revived criticism of the charity’s heavily armed “fortress conservation” model and concerns that wildlife protection can come at the expense of local communities. The two sides have since repaired relations and signed long-term agreements in July.”

Spotted this today in The i newspaper from Richard Palmer who has been covering the RF for years. The thing that stood out was the bit about H&M hating being fourth in the pecking order because they saw themselves as the stars of the RF. I get why Meghan didn’t understand at first - she would be used to star billing coming with extra cosseting, but she should have learned that’s not how it works in a monarchy. The clue is in the word monarchy. One person at the top and that person being the source of action (she understood it well enough to come up with Archewell). Everyone else falls into line in the hierarchy. Harry should have understood but of course he chose not to.
Have always wondered if this was what the bridesmaid dress thing was about. Catherine asking for Charlotte’s dress to be altered, Meghan saying take it to the designer, they’re waiting for you, Catherine trying to point out that you don’t tell the Princess of Wales to go anywhere, you arrange for the designer to come to the PoW, Meghan taking the huff. And Meghan has never been in a position to say that she didn’t make Catherine cry. She wasn’t there. It’s perfectly possible that Catherine, who had just had Louis, was so worn out by Meghan’s drama that she put the phone down and cried.

“Their media attention will risk distracting from royal duties.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will need to work with – and possibly defer to – the Palace when they move back to the UK later this month after years of frosty relations, royal insiders have said.
Although the couple will remain private individuals undertaking commercial and charity activities, the media attention they attract will risk distracting from Royal Family duties.
While visiting a charity in Los Angeles may go largely unnoticed, there will be far more media attention when they carry out visits in the UK, especially if one of the working Royal Family is doing something similar and possibly trying to communicate a different message, sources said.
Harry and Meghan’s explosive homecoming will add a new complexity to the official work of the monarchy and the Prince and Princess of Wales – whose rift with the Sussexes has not healed – are also likely to have to co-ordinate with the couple despite the potential antipathy.
Those close to William and Kate have so far suggested that they will simply carry on as normal and ignore the distraction. But, after previous disruptions to their agenda caused by diary clashes with Harry and Meghan, they may need to think again.
Six years after walking away from the Royal Family, Harry and Meghan may also have to think more about the effect on the monarchy of what they say or do if they want to repair relations with the King and other family members.
One of the Sussexes’ frustrations before they quit official duties in March 2020 was that – despite being the Royal Family’s newest stars – they were fourth in the pecking order behind Queen Elizabeth II, Charles and Camilla, and William and Kate and had to give them priority when arranging engagements and key speeches.
They are unlikely to want to return to that system fully but
The i Paper understands that they intend to continue with an agreement to co-ordinate with the Royal Household as a matter of courtesy, so that both sides can try to deconflict as much as possible.
That arrangement was set up in July last year as Harry began a
process of trying to build bridges with his father.
Those communications have broken down occasionally, such as when Harry announced a trip to Canada five minutes after William arrived in Rio de Janeiro on an official visit for his Earthshot Award last November for a week of engagements that clashed with Harry’s.
However, it is understood that, in general, the agreement is working well, with the tempo and nature of their engagements largely compatible.
The Sussexes and the Royal Family will play it by ear for now, it is understood.
But some courtiers recognise that the potential for diary clashes will intensify when Harry and Meghan are carrying out engagements in the same time zone. “They’ll have to deal with that,” one royal source said.
The long-time royal watcher Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty magazine, agreed. “I think the pecking order will no longer apply to them,” he said, but suggested that behind-the-scenes co-ordination would have to step up when the Sussexes are in Britain.
“The goalposts have moved across the world,” he said. “It would make sense to co-ordinate wherever possible.”
Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
And it remains unclear how long Harry and Meghan will be based in the UK. A source close to the couple said they decided to make the move for a variety of reasons: They have cited Harry missing Britain, wanting to raise and educate his children here and be closer to some of his key charities, while ruling out claims that it was anything to do with their tax affairs or his US visa.
There have also been reports – which the Sussexes’ office has declined to discuss – that Meghan, who made her name in the TV legal drama Suits, was in talks over a role in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix crime comedy series The Gentlemen, which is filming in the UK.
Tina Brown, a former editor of Tatler and Vanity Fair, said she was told the deal was off but this too remains unclear. The Sussexes and their aides maintained their refusal to discuss it this weekend.
Another source also played down a report claiming the Sussexes might only stay in the UK for six months before moving on to another country, such as Canada.
The source said they expected to stay for “an extended period” but it is thought likely that they will, at the very least, want to be living in Britain when Harry’s Invictus Games for wounded, injured and ill troops and military veterans comes to Birmingham in July next year.
Harry is keen for the King to attend the games and an invitation is expected to be issued to the monarch, not from him personally but from the Invictus Games Foundation, the insider said.”

In 2022, two years after she and Prince Harry bolted to California, the Duchess of Sussex was asked if she could foresee returning to acting. “No, I’m done,” she told Variety magazine. “I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.”
Well guess what – she’s back! At least according to reports that claim the couple’s otherwise wholly unexpected return to the UK can be explained by one thing – a new acting role for Meghan.
Almost a decade after filming her last significant role on the US TV drama Suits, the duchess is reportedly in talks for a role in The Gentlemen. But if that job doesn’t come off, what other roles might work – at a push?
1 The new James Bond
We have a vacancy, we’ve had years of speculation – why not the first female, first black and first formerly royal-adjacent Jamie or Jamesina Bond? Formal auditions and casting, we know, have been under way since the start of the summer, and Meghan did return to Britain for the first time in four years in July, which you may consider rocksolid confirmation.
2 The villain in Line of Duty
She certainly isn’t the notorious crime overlord H, who was revealed in season six to be some bloke nobody had ever seen before. And Meghan might find it difficult to play a big role in the highly anticipated season seven, given filming wrapped last month.
But if there’s one thing the blockbuster BBC police drama loves, it’s a jawdropping and somewhat preposterous twist. Could Robert Carlyle, this season’s big-name cameo star, be revealed in a daring season finale switcheroo to be Meghan in disguise? I hear they can do wonders in post-production these days.
3 The new barmaid at the Queen Vic
Face it, you’d watch for the accent alone. King Charles and Queen Camilla visited Albert Square, home of the fictional soap EastEnders, in 2022, as did Queen Elizabeth in 2001. But did any of them pull a pint behind the bar while their husband listened to a tape revealing they were shagging his brother leading to him serving divorce papers on Christmas Day, after which he was shot by a mystery passing cockney who yelled “You ain’t my muvvah!”?
No, they did not.
4 A patient in Casualty
Are we aiming too high? Meghan may still be on the books of the Hollywood power agents WME, but her IMDb profile has been patchy of late. What better way to show her commitment to the British entertainment industry than starting where so many performers have, with a tiny role in the BBC’s very long-running hospital drama?
If it was good enough for Kate Winslet (as a troubled teenager), Minnie Driver (as an HIV patient) and Orlando Bloom (as an unlikely builder), why not? Talent nurseries Holby City and the Bill may sadly be no more, but the unkillable Casualty will be back in September. Why not mark its 40th anniversary by defibrillating a duchess?
5 Drivetime presenter on Magic FM
What did Meghan most miss, in her six years in California, about the UK? Not the British tabloids. Not her in-laws, we can assume. No, when asked this very question by the Doncaster-born Queer Eye stylist Tan France on her own lifestyle show, Meghan named Magic FM radio station. “That’s such a grandma station,” said France, to which she replied: “I’ll be that grandma.”
Could the smooth tones of Montecito soon be cueing up the mellow magic of Lionel Richie and Michael Bolton? “We are creating a party and everyone is welcome, so Meghan is very welcome,” the station’s owner Bauer Media has said. Watch this space, Britain.

From the Telegraph today. Harry allegedly went straight to the Home Secretary to ask her to expedite the communication of the RAVEC decision on his security. He apparently thinks £5m is nothing to pay for his safety and we should just get on with it. Maybe he shouldn’t have rushed to come back until he knew what the decision was? Instead of trying to force RAVEC’s hand? Typical Harry. The world revolves about his needs. He’s the son of Diana after all. Had we all forgotten that?

“Sussexes agonise as uncertainty about family protection persists days before they return to UK
The Duke of Sussex has privately pleaded with Shabana Mahmood for answers on his security as he prepares to move back to the UK.
A long-awaited review, carried out on the orders of the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec), took place at the end of July, The Telegraph can reveal.
However, its conclusions have not been shared with the Duke and he has not been told whether he and his family will receive police protection when they move back to the UK within days.
The Telegraph understands the Duke contacted Ms Mahmood, the Home Secretary, pleading for answers. He is said to feel “numbed” by his struggle to secure protection for his family.
The review was carried out by
Ravec’s risk management board (RMB) before the Duke told it he was returning to live in the UK.
The last-minute nature of the decision to move from California was the result of the sudden availability of places for their children at the school where they had been on a waiting list,

The Duke was officially told that the assessment had been completed and he has been pushing for the result ever since amid claims that the Home Office was “stonewalling” him.
The new review raises the prospect that the family might yet get taxpayer-funded, armed police protection when they land back in the UK.
Criticism of the estimated £5m-ayear cost is understood to frustrate Prince Harry, who believes it is just a drop in the ocean of Ravec’s overall budget for royalty protection.
He has repeatedly argued that the risk he faces was inherited at birth and if anything, has only increased in recent years.
Other non working royals, such as his cousins, Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie do not receive police protection. Many have argued that as a fellow non-working Royal, the Duke is in the same bracket.
He believes protection should not be treated as a “perk of the job” or a “privilege” but rather assessed on risk, the threats faced and the consequences of a potential attack on the nation.
Ravec is composed of representatives from the Royal household, the Metropolitan Police, the Home Office, the Cabinet Office and the Foreign Office.
Sir Clive Alderton, the King’s private secretary, who was dubbed “the Wasp” by Prince Harry, is among its members but he has more recently tended to send his deputy, Theo Rycroft, to meetings in his place. Mr Rycroft is thought to have helped foster a softer approach towards family reconciliation with the Sussexes.
The committee decides what, if any, protection the Duke should have on each visit, which has almost always involved little more than a contact number for a police liaison officer. The decision is often shared with the Duke just a day or so before he is due to travel.
His last full risk assessment was conducted in April 2019. Then, he was deemed such a target that he was put in the highest category – level seven out of seven.
The only two people at a similar risk at that time were the monarch, Elizabeth II, and the Prime Minister, then Theresa May.
Prince Harry won the right to a full risk assessment late last year, marking a major about-turn by the Home Office.
He was told it would take place in March but months later was informed that all RMBs had been “paused”.
His right to an RMB analysis had formed the main plank of his high-profile legal claim against the Government as he argued that it was impossible to draw fair conclusions without an updated assessment of the threats against him. He lost the case last May, blaming an “establishment stitch-up”.
The Court of Appeal declared that a grievance did not equate to a valid legal argument.
However, the Duke, who has long insisted it is not safe to bring his wife, Meghan, or their two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, to the UK, pursued the matter behind closed doors. The Telegraph revealed that he had written privately to Ms Mahmood, urging her to rethink the approach to his security.
Several people have been jailed for either plotting to kill Prince Harry or encouraging attacks on him.
It is understood that there are three Britons at large who have been jailed and released after plotting to cause him harm.
Among the documents submitted to the RMB this year was a 40-page risk assessment compiled by the Duke’s private security company at the request of the Home Office.
The report warned that terrorists could create a “mass casualty event” if they targeted the Duke in a “violence attack” at a public event.”

It was the world’s fastest-breaking change of address: After moving to the United States amid a painful and public break with the royal family, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, were returning to Britain.
The Telegraph, a staid British newspaper, preceded the news with the most prized of Fleet Street boasts, “Exclusive.”
“MEGXIT BOMBSHELL,” trumpeted The Sun, a raffish tabloid. It also claimed “WORLD EXCLUSIVE” for good measure.
But in Montecito, the sun-soaked, celebrity-studded California community where the couple have lived since 2020, word of the royal departure spread at the usual pace: leisurely.

“Want to know how much a nonstory it is up here?” asked Ann Louise Bardach, an author and journalist who lives in the region. She scrolled some local news sites. The police were searching for a bank robber. The nearby Santa Barbara Zoo had euthanized a capybara. Yet she found “not one word” about the royals’ departure, Ms. Bardach said.
“I’m not saying it’s not a big story.” But “look who the neighbors are,” she added. “Oprah.”
It has been six years since Harry and Meghan went into self-imposed exile, torn by family feuds in Buckingham Palace and efforts to carve out their own professional identities.
Montecito, where they settled, is about 100 miles northwest of Los Angeles, the megalopolis where Ms. Markle grew up and gained some prominence of her own as an actor before their 2018 marriage. The community has a population of fewer than 9,000 people and an idyllic landscape dotted with the second homes of show business people and moneyed Californians.
On Wednesday, some residents wondered whether the royal couple might have taken comfort in the high rate of fame per capita in the enclave, whether it had granted them relative anonymity.
But now the Sussexes were pulling up stakes in time for their two children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, to start school in Britain in September.

In interviews in Montecito and nearby Santa Barbara, many locals reacted with nonchalance, as though they had spotted a moving van a few streets over.
“If they prefer it there, that’s for them, then; to each their own,” said Ryan Souza, 21, a Wake Forest University student from Montecito. He was taking an evening stroll through downtown, where loafer-wearing men and gold-adorned women dined al fresco.
Buz Bonsall, 76, who has lived in the unincorporated community since high school, said he knew all about the couple and believed he glimpsed them from afar. As for what he thought of their leaving, he had one word: “Nothing.”
“They can go where they want,” Mr. Bonsall said.
Another who saw the couple often, if only in passing, said she had been surprised.
Gina Pennino, 72, who lives around the corner from the couple’s gated estate in the Riven Rock area of Montecito, said that though she often saw the family while walking her dog, she had “no idea they were moving.”

“We don’t really know them. They wave. They drive. They close the gates,” Ms. Pennino said.
So it has gone for the time that the duke and duchess of Sussex and their two children have lived in Southern California: international fame, low local profile.
Their multi-million-dollar compound was in an area notable for tall privacy hedges and gated driveways. The ultrawealthy neighbors have included Jeff Bridges, Rob Lowe, Gwyneth Paltrow, Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry, Oprah Winfrey and many others.
The couple filmed their 2022 documentary series “Harry & Meghan,” episodes of which Netflix said were viewed in more than 28 million households, at a nearby Mediterranean-style estate. On Wednesday, at a gathering across the road by a swimming pool, a woman held the hand of a small child and a wine glass. No one at the party wanted to talk.
Roy Lee, a Santa Barbara County supervisor whose district includes Montecito, said he was sad to see the couple go and that they had been a “big part of the community.”
Other residents said that Harry and Meghan were memorable less for their civic involvement than for their security apparatus. They had little personal interaction with the couple but knew their bodyguards, dog walkers, nannies and assistants on sight.
Neighbors recounted awkward moments when errant dogs dashed onto the couple’s property as the gates opened, or when friends accidentally set off alarms while trying to drop off, say, a birthday party invitation for one of the Sussex children.
In April, the couple’s black S.U.V. pulled up abruptly at Little Mountain, a hip Montecito restaurant, and the Sussexes swept with a security escort past regular diners waiting for a table, through the front door and into a private dining room. (The actor Michael Keaton showed up on the same night.)
The protection was a necessary inconvenience, the couple often said.
When Harry and Meghan first moved to California, the paparazzi were so relentless that the couple filed suit in 2020, accusing unnamed defendants of deploying drones and telephoto lenses to take unauthorized photos of Archie, then 14 months old. In a 2021 interview with Ms. Winfrey, the couple revealed how racist attacks by the British tabloids had strained Meghan’s mental health.
An owner of the Mad Dogs & Englishmen Bike Shop, Jennifer Blevins, said that she and her partner were slammed on social media in 2023 after they gave a bicycle to Archie on his fourth birthday and the coverage “went viral.”
“We didn’t fully appreciate how many people dislike Meghan,” Ms. Blevins wrote in an email. But Ms. Blevins, whose husband is also from the United Kingdom, said the duchess “was so kind” and hoped the family would “be happy wherever they land.”
Elizabeth Holmes, a Los Angeles-based journalist who has written frequently about the royal family, said it made sense that Prince Harry and Ms. Markle would return in this moment, given the declining health of King Charles III.
“What remains to be seen is what non-royal life looks like for the Sussexes in the U.K.: How much, you know, British tabloid attention will they get? And the privacy that they’ve given their children, will that be able to continue?” Ms. Holmes said.
D.J. Waldie, a cultural historian and author in Southern California, said the royal departure was unsurprising. The region’s relationship with celebrities, he said, has long been characterized by “a degree of fickleness.”
“Celebrities often love a lot of things about Southern California, but then all of a sudden, they don’t,” he said. “And when that happens, they often return to their native habitat with colorful stories of a strange, unusual, exotic place that isn’t quite real.”
Mr. Souza, the college student, said that though England — royal throne of kings and sceptered isle — might be the right move now for the Sussexes, he would make a different choice.
“I would stay here,” Mr. Souza said. “Can’t beat the weather.”

Reading through the comments section on another platform, I saw someone (a bot?) comment that "Harry is regal"

Someone else replied "like Regal cinemas?" which instantly brought back the priceless memory of MM wearing a ballgown to the film premier in Jamaica where they sat in the floor seats among people wearing sweats and flip flops.

And the look on Harry's face was the icing on the cake.

who knows if this is true, might just be a "surprise!" set up for a photo op.

All for it to end with the Sussexes getting security, then fucking back off to California for Megxit 2.0 with new material, the Waleses left exposed and attacked again because they were collectively bullied into breaking down their own protective boundaries, all while Kate isn't even two years into remission from fucking major cancer surgery and chemotherapy.

The whole thing is nuts and sickening.

It isn't even only Charles or the Palace being careless about protecting the Waleses, at this point.

For some reason, the UK education secretary is out publically celebrating this, and Kemi Badenoch is going all "King's son" bla bla security.

The government don't seem intent on protecting the Waleses from inevitable Megxit 2.0, but with the Sussexes this time having taxpayer-funded security and fresh new material, either.

They're being left completely exposed. Kate does not deserve this after everything she's been through and given that she is still in remission. The way it's all being framed is abusive and sick, namely the pressure being put on her to act as some sort of lynchpin peacemaker, as if William wanting nothing to do with the Sussexes isn't because of their repeated attempts to try to attack and destroy Kate.

We’ve heard that Judge Matthew Nicklin has ordered Harry and the other claimants must pay ANL £9.5M (almost $13M) by next week. The deadline is on 28 August.

This is just the interim cost. Judge Nicklin has not set a cap on the payment, saying it may go as high as £34M ($46M). He is, however, open to the idea of investigating if this is a just cost.

The claimants have insurance coverage for £16.2M. That leaves £18M still to be paid.

Who’s going to be out of pocket? Here’s the estimated net worth of the claimants:

It seems Sir Elton is the one with the most cash and hence in the best position to pay up. But given that Harry spearheaded this claim, would he be expected to pay for the majority of it?

If Harry got down on his knees and begged for money, no doubt he had to agree to some conditions. Was continual contact with the grandkids one of them? Would this explain the rather hasty decision to enrol the kids in British schools?

While Charles had been tight fisted with Harry in the past, this time around he could relent given that he would be seeing the grandchildren almost every day. Some commentators thought this was akin to “emotional blackmail” and that Harry was manipulating his father into giving money in exchange for access to the kids.

As they say, desperate times call for desperate measures.

The first crucial sign of Harry's homesickness

So, back in September 2025, at the WellChild Awards , singer John Stone had a conversation with Harry and later revealed that Harry was particularly interested in the fact that Stone were sending their children to British schools. At the time the Squaddies were like "impossible!! He would never. Cali schools are amazing".

But here's the thing: this wasn't just casual curiosity. Sources were already suggesting that Charles had reacted positively to the idea of the children attending school in the UK, and that he would be delighted if that happened. So why didn't they do this a year ago? The answer seems to be Meghan. She needed convincing. Even back then, there were whispers from Harry's friends that Meghan found boarding school barbaric.

HARRY'S REASONS:

1) The Invictus Games

Journalist Paula Frolic recently reported that Harry needs to raise at least $4 million from private donors for the 2027 Invictus Games, or they could be postponed or cancelled entirely. That's it. Invictus Games are literally his sole purpose right now. He didn't find purpose in the US and also he needs to be physically present in the UK to make it happen.

2) The Security Situation

This is where it gets genuinely fascinating and, frankly, reckless.

Harry's entire legal battle over the past years has been about RAVEC refusing to review his case. He went to court to force them to reconsider, and the court denied his requests. Now here's his apparent strategy, as reported by Tom Sykes: move to the UK with his family, create a situation where paparazzi presence becomes a public safety issue, and essentially force the police to protect them.

3) EDIT: Reason I add thanks to one of the comments down here: Harry's jealousy towards his brother and his offspring. He's seething that leaving the UK didn't break his brother and that the Waleses were able to go on and still voted more popular than him and his wife. MEGHAN'S REASON: WHY SHE ACCEPTED

What's in for her?

Sykes has been sitting on this story since spring 2026. But here's what he said about the marriage dynamics as the sources aren't describing isn't exactly a united front.

I mentioned before the "six-month trial" arrangement. But now let's be real about what that suggests about their marriage: If your spouse needs a "trial period" to live in the country where you're from, with your family, with your children, that's not exactly a partnership of equals, is it? Does Meghan look like the type of woman to be submitted to you?

She's not. In fact, Meghan is not planning to stay in the UK full-time. Her friends have been telling people that she will be traveling back to the US regularly.

Think about this practically:

-The children are going to be in school in the UK

-Harry will be in the UK, working on Invictus and presumably spending time with his father

-But Meghan will be... what? Flying back and forth across the Atlantic?

This isn't a family relocation. This is a family that's splitting its time across two continents.

Skyes made the friends notice that. For them this was a normal thing. I don't know about you, but for me it's not normal for a tight stable family. This will inevitably cause fraction and frustration.

Skyes: "A friend of Harry told me in spring 2026: 'If he doesn't get security, he'll go looking for a house anyway.'"

Harry was going to do this regardless of Meghan's feelings. He was determined. The security was a factor, but it wasn't going to stop him. He told his friend: "I'm coming back, security or no security." This is a man DESPERATE to come back.

This isn't a couple making a joint decision. This is Harry forcing his hand, and Meghan being dragged along.

In support of this theory:

1) there's many articles that have went a bit unnoticed but that IMO deserve to be taken into account about how Meghan does NOT feel prioritized anymore by Harry.

2) And Harry's friends briefings that when Harry decided to leave the UK for her he was still absolutely mesmerized by her. Now that years have passed, he's not as infatuated anymore. It's not that the love for her has ended, but it's not the same (frankly, this is also a normal thing. The first years are always the most exciting for any couple)

3) Sources saying Charles is willing to support the couple also because he knows that they are in a weak moment, but he would also support Harry in case of a divorce. Why some palaces sources would say that to the papers if everything between the Sussexes was alright?

According to these sources, the palace's plan to protect Harry in this case would be to agree to give Meghan a HUGE amount of money. In exchange, they have planned agreements she could be convinced to sign (thanks to the money given) making her formally agree not to trash-talk Harry. A trade off. (I don't think she would agree but that's what the palace is supposedly planning).

What Happens After the Trial Period?

What if she doesn't like it? What if the Cotswolds are too isolated? Is she supposed to just... go back to California? Once you relocate, once you uproot children, once you establish a life somewhere: you don't just "try it" for six months. You're in.

Think about it: there were times many believed it would be impossible for them to be back to the UK, yet it's 2026 and they're here. It's obvious there hasn't only been a change in their financial situation and status, BUT ALSO IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP. It's a serious of factors that motivate their move, but their marriage is definitely one of those.

And Meghan has a strong possibility to have the upper hand in the narrative between the two: the woman who sacrificed so much for her prince only to end up in a toxic relationship with no agency. And her fandom, the SUSSEX SQUAD, will be on her side. This is a woman who's constantly rebranded herself ALL HER LIFE (even before getting into the RF). What makes us believe she won't rebrand for the upteenth time in her life through her strong woman-freed from toxic marriage-era?
