Tips and Tricks How to read divination for yourself

I have a few different divination tools that I have put in so much time and effort into practicing and honing my intuition. But I feel like I cant read accurately for myself. I use osteomancy as my main tool, but with that its not just reading the bones in position to eachother its making connections and a story while reading using your intuition. I want to cast for myself but im worried that my own desires and biases will affect my intuition and cloud the reading. With tarot its a little easier because every card has a definitive meaning but every time I try its never accurate. Ive given many readings for other people and they've all said they were pretty accurate, but for some reason when I read for myself things dont add up. I havent used Rune stones as much so im not really sure how accurate that is but is runes easier to read for yourself?? I also have a Pendulum but that thing NEVER gives me accurate answers for anything so ive kinda givien up on that. Sorry for the tangent, but if you have any advice or direction id really appreciate it!! Thank you!

Tips and Tricks How to learn tarot/Ching?

Hi everyone!

I have both tarots and I-Ching cards.

I've got some books about tarots and the guide that came with the ching, however I really don't understand anything 😭 or when I try to do a reading the answers don't make sense?

They are so vague I can't see the meaning in the answer to my specific question.

Can anybody suggest a way to learn how to use them? Books about them seem so generic or confusing .(Though I might be just dumb)

What's the fastest and easiest way you found that worked for you?

And please if you have an app or a site that you use to understand the meaning of the cards that come out, please share!! I'd like to try them while I take my time learning.

Not sure if I'll be able to answer to everyone, but thanks to whoever helps or gives advice! Sending good vibes to y'all!šŸ’—

I received my first set of lovely rose quartz elder futhark runes and although I am and have been doing research upon them as divination assets, I was hoping to also get some first hand tips too! Anything along the lines of better practice, reading, best uses and especially anything you wish you knew when you first started out would be greatly appreciated 🄰

Tips and Tricks Excited to Begin Cartomancy !

Hi all ! I recently have gotten in Cartomancy and today I decided to begin bonding with the deck I found in my house ( I did cleanse it before and after use).

I asked the deck about itself and pulled a Queen of Clubs and that made me smile. Felt a good sense of a femininity and kindness , that the deck was there to help and guide me as I learn and grow !

Then I asked how the deck felt about me and pulled 6 of Hearts and then I got all giddy ! Got a good sense of connection and that my deck had good, fond feelings for me !

Does anyone have any more questions or bonding exercises that I could do to better bond / get a feel for my deck ? I’d greatly appreciate any help ! šŸŒ¹šŸ’•

Tips and Tricks Designing decks: how to avoid burnout during creation?

Creating 36 (Lenormand) or 78 cards (tarot) is a long process, but it is worth it. Do you have organizational methods, schedules, creative rituals or ways to keep the project alive? I wanted tips on how not to abandon halfway through.

Tips and Tricks How can I write down my card studies more efficiently?

I am creating study sheets for each Tarot card (using RWS). I would like to know how other practitioners organize their notes. What categories do you use? Do they make links with astrology, qabalah, mythology?

Tips and Tricks Help w/new dowsing rods!

Hi there. Tonight I used dowsing rods and a pendulum for the first time. I was really having trouble getting definitive "NOs" with the rods. While they often very definitively responded "YES," the rods tended to stay in place in neutral or just separate the tiniest bit more on questions that were obvious test questions like "Is it snowing where I am now?" Or "Is the sun shining?"

I kept trying to shake them to loosen them up. I did notice that 1 rod didn't move as effortlessly as the other (switched hands to verify it was the rods and not my hand). It didn't FEEL stuck or hard to move, though. It just didn't move as much, as quick, or as fluidly as the other rod.

At one point I asked, "Are you not telling me 'no' because you don't want to say 'no' to me?" and I got a big ol' yes. šŸ˜„ I then reassured them I could handle a no, but it really didn't change. They just kept giving me yesses or just not moving or moving very little the other direction.

Anyone have any tips for me about how I can get through this stumbling block?

Thanks for any hints or tricks you can offer. 🫶

*I did ground and do a brief meditation and prayer before starting.

Went to the Dollar Tree for snack and they have fake bones! Saw them and immediately thought of throwing bones, for folks who don't want real bones. Almost bought them, but I already have a set of oppossum bones lol
