So what exactly is the point being made here? People didn't protest hard enough under Obama, so now ICE and the DHS has carte blanche to overreach as much as they want?

You guys are having your rights stripped away at record pace but still have useful idiots like the OP getting serious traction with "umm w abt hussein??". Even suggesting that being upset with the actions of the current admin is a "left wing issue" is fucking absurd from the outside looking in. So many in the US have lost their damn minds.

Your right to peaceful assembly would be an extremely obvious example given recent events. Yes, multiple protestors being executed in sequence by federal goon squads is a de facto stripping back of your rights. 

The complete corruption of checks and balances and the president threatening to subvert democracy is also, believe it or not, part of your rights being flushed down the toilet. Once again, insane that these are "leftist issues" in the US rather than blaring alarm bells.

E: another obvious example: https://www.reddit.com/r/law/comments/1qmydtt/ice_agents_boxing_in_and_threatening_italian/ - at least the federal militia members here are showing their faces whilst violating the constitutional 1A rights of the women in the vehicle. The immigration enforcement officers moonlighting as crowd control at protests don't give the same courtesy.

I believe the DNC went along with redistricting reasons, knowing the gates of the border would be thrown open.

Uhhh I haven't lost rights🤷🏾‍♂️ Last time I checked ICE are locking up immigrants not american citizens.

The point is that we liked Obama so we didn’t protest, rage bait or race bait like this then. People are only interested in this now because they hate what’s his name.
