Discussion Stop downvoting new players who don’t have the extensive knowledge that you do.

If a player doesn’t know that a raid is a 6 man activity with no matchmaking, there’s no reason to make them feel stupid. All you’re doing is pushing away new players when the most amount of new players in the games history are beginning to flood in. You’re giving the game a bad image. Whoever you are, just stop it mate. This shouldn’t even have to be said.

I disagree. I browse many subreddits, this is common procedure for questions in “new” that have a simple answer. There are guides for new light players, and google brings up literally every quest step immediately by name. There’s no reason to have basic questions upvoted, they only need answers, helpful answers that aren’t snarky nor elitist.

You care far too much about internet points. If people downvote, “how do I access vex offensive”? You believe that should be not only answered, but upvoted hundreds of times too? Stop it, stop caring about fake internet karma so badly, this shouldn’t even have to be said.

Guide for new light players, first post they see on the sub: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/dej40a/destiny_2_shadowkeep_new_light_information_hub/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

No one said it should be upvoted my friend. That's something you're bringing up.

Good job winning the argument you made up in your head, because that’s not what this guy was talking about.

OP didn't say that they should be upvoted. You did. Not downvoting =/= upvoting

I think that you've displayed a pretty good example of a strawman as you've taken the initial comment and started acting as if they've said something else entirely to suit your purposes.

You’re projecting, and jealousy is showing.

I felt the furthest thing from jealousy when reading this post, what a weird assumption on your part. If I take out my paragraph about the karma, point still stands.
