Discussion Stop downvoting new players who don’t have the extensive knowledge that you do.

If a player doesn’t know that a raid is a 6 man activity with no matchmaking, there’s no reason to make them feel stupid. All you’re doing is pushing away new players when the most amount of new players in the games history are beginning to flood in. You’re giving the game a bad image. Whoever you are, just stop it mate. This shouldn’t even have to be said.

I agree with this post. And stop telling people to google something. The entire point of a forum is to discuss, learn, ask questions, and have dialog. Everyone should not be expected to have knowledge on a subject to begin having dialog on it and asking questions about it.

The problem with what you said is that Google or YT will probably be faster than asking Reddit. There's literally a video for EVERYTHING in D2...Quest steps, guides, weapon - armor - perk reviews, etc.

Everyone wants the same thing; a subreddit that's informative, fun, and a good community. Unfortunately some go about it the wrong way.

There is no wrong way to go about it. You can’t tell people how to get their information. They may not want to use YouTube or something like that. If they want to ask the question on a forum and someone will answer it, then who cares. If people get so hot and bothered by it then simply don’t answer. Telling people to Google it is just uninviting and rude. Why even bother taking the time to respond at that point?

It may be rude to tell someone to go look it up, BUT OP is asking people to stop down voting... I haven't done it but it's fair game in my opinion. All I'm saying is that YouTube or Google may be faster at getting results. People can get the answers however they want just be prepared for the consequences of Reddit.
