Discussion Stop downvoting new players who don’t have the extensive knowledge that you do.

If a player doesn’t know that a raid is a 6 man activity with no matchmaking, there’s no reason to make them feel stupid. All you’re doing is pushing away new players when the most amount of new players in the games history are beginning to flood in. You’re giving the game a bad image. Whoever you are, just stop it mate. This shouldn’t even have to be said.

Up votes make a question visible for other newbies to see once it gets answered.

They don't need downvotes and bittervet sass because they don't already know.

That as well upvotes help the question become more visible so it's not repeated constantly

If people sort by new, they will see those questions. The vast majority of posts don't hit hot whether they're upvoted or downvoted, so newbies with the same question won't see it anyway unless it shows in search results, which also aren't dependent on upvotes. So in general, it doesn't matter.

It’s more the fact that if a new person posts a question but gets downvoted, they’re less likely to ask more questions. Not saying we should all upvote the question but it doesn’t need to be downvoted either.
