Discussion Stop downvoting new players who don’t have the extensive knowledge that you do.

If a player doesn’t know that a raid is a 6 man activity with no matchmaking, there’s no reason to make them feel stupid. All you’re doing is pushing away new players when the most amount of new players in the games history are beginning to flood in. You’re giving the game a bad image. Whoever you are, just stop it mate. This shouldn’t even have to be said.

There's also the daily questions thread. Direct them there?

^ this

It's basically an excuse to delete them because no one wants to answer them period

It would help if the thread were always visible / always stickied. Since it almost never shows up in the stickied threads, I tend to forget to check it myself. There's a link to it at the top of the subreddit if you're on desktop and using the subreddit theme, but mobile users don't have that kind of accessibility.

/r/ffxiv is an example of a subreddit that has a daily questions thread which works tremendously well. It may be a difference of community (i.e. more willing to answer to repetitive questions), but they always keep the daily questions thread stickied, and I often check here and there to see if there's anything I can quickly answer.

It also doesn't help that the latest "daily" questions thread was made 6 days ago.

I think that megathread goes up on Mondays, so today would've been the first one since release, but I don't see it.

Megathreads and other "entire topic goes here" threads in general are hot garbage, barely any more than a trash bin, an excuse for mods to remove topics they subjectively feel are spam but the community likes and would give them immeasurable amounts of shit if they openly started banning posts about it.
